This is kind of marketing to mention it as the world's first hotel to accept bitcoin and provide services. Already we've got good number of hotels and food chains that accept bitcoin into their businesses. Maybe this hotel falls under certain star category and on that list it is the first to accept bitcoin. A good move from the hotel management. Also I believe this hotel chain have got its hotels located in different countries. They should extend the service on its every property.
The fact is that expedia has been accepting bitcoin payments for many many years now, maybe it is not a hotel directly, but that means you could pay for many things using that. I have booked maybe close to half a dozen hotels so far, and all paid in bitcoin so far as well, been a great experience for myself. I have been using that for my vacations for maybe 5-6 years by now and I can say that it has never let me down.

There is a bit of an issue when it comes to reversing it, obviously when you cancel, then you need to wait for them to pay it back, and it's definitely a difficult one if you used an exchange to send, had a trouble there, but it has been available for over half a decade at least.

Finally, Bitcoin is going to enter the world beyond the borders of different countries of the world. A hotel in Bahrain "Novotel Bahrain Al Dana Resort" is set to become the first hotel in the world to offer services to customers through Bitcoin payments. The payment system of this hotel will be through Binance App. The Central Bank of Bahrain has welcomed the hotel's payment system, and has assured that other hotels will be interested in recognizing the bitcoin payment system as implemented by the hotel.

News:https://cryptopotato.com/arab-world-crypto-adoption-leading-bahrainian-hotel-accepts-btc-payments-report/

I do not think this hotel can be considered as the first hotel to accept bitcoin payments, there are some other hotels in the world already offering this service. Yes, it might be the first hotel in the Asian region to offer such services.

By accepting bitcoin, this hotel will attract a lot of international tourists as they can easily book this hotel in advance using bitcoin and also do not have the hassle to convert their local fiat into local currency Dinar (Bahrainian Currency) to pay the hotel rent.

The Arab countries including Dubai are very much crypto friendly and we are not away from that time when almost every business in these countries will accept bitcoin payments.

That’s really a great news for all the Bitcointalk community. My only concern is that, is Bitcoin legal at Bahrain ? If it is, then there won’t be any problem for the hotel to use Bitcoins as a payment.

The country must have already accepted bitcoin as legal tender for the central bank to accept and approve the bank to collect payments in bitcoin. Even though it is not yet legal tender in the country, Binance must have managed to persuade the country to allow the hotel to accept only Binance payments.

But will they able to deal with the inflation and price fluctuations of Bitcoins? I mean it really takes guts to take such steps when large amount of money transactions is required.

Inflation and price volatility must have been the first major issue they addressed before deciding to accept bitcoin as payment. Binance, their partner, would have educated them on the risks involved in the market. I'm sure they've made up their minds and are ready to begin accepting bitcoin payments.

It's getting easier with a third-party payment gateway that can process crypto, although it's nice to see someone directly accepts Bitcoin.

Slowly one by one people will see that bitcoin is not as bad as what banking influencers say to the media and indoctrinate the public with their rotten sentences, that is good news from Arab land countries which show that they are not allergic to bitcoin. It doesn't matter through any network service, the most important thing is that the world has touched bitcoin well and slowly it will spread like a virus which is very difficult to find a cure for and the bankers in the end can only watch and use bitcoin as a transaction tool and an alternative investment.
People are getting benefits from Bitcoin and we can't regret the importance of Bitcoin. It has reduced our time and money as well as it has made our life reliable and easier. As a payment option, Bitcoin is fast and secure and I personally prefer it. Day by day people will realize the importance of Bitcoin and I hope it will be adopted by most of the people in this digital world.

I believe I once heard that several well-known resorts also accepted Bitcoin, but I'm not sure. Obviously, they also accept Bitcoin using Binance Pay. No matter which cryptocurrency payment they accept, the fact that they do so is remarkable. Someone interested in cryptocurrencies, in particular, would like using Bitcoin to pay at those resorts. I had been seeking for a way to pay using Bitcoin while on a tour. I would save a lot of money and have financial freedom as a result. If it becomes higher, the government might intervene with my credit card transaction.

We can already book some hotel rooms and flights with Travala using BTC and other cryptos.

But it is nice to see a merchand / hotel accepting direct reservations with BTC (without a third party website managing the reservations I mean). I would love to not involve Binance in it but we cannot have everything  Grin

I see this and it makes me happy Cheesy soon we will see flights and hotels be for an example: 0.00008 BTC. Great stuff.

I am not so sure that they are the first establishment in the hospitality sector to accept payment in bitcoins, but it is good news to bitcoin community. It is good to see that another function of bitcoin will be encouraged for use and people who have bitcoins and visit the hotel will have the choice of using their bitcoins to sort bills directly instead of going through the rigors of converting some bitcoins to fiat whenever they need to liquidate some cryptocurrency to assist with bills.

We are very happy to hear this news as the popularity of digital currency Bitcoin is increasing day by day. Bitcoin has been approved in Bahrain for a long time. And I heard earlier in a news that about 5000+ merchants in different regions of Bahrain have approved bitcoin payment transactions. and the Central Bank of Bahrain has approved Bitcoin for crypto online payments through the EazyPay and Binance. Various hotels have introduced bitcoin payments which is a good development for the crypto sector. However, in various countries in the Middle East, transactions are done by Bitcoin and Bitcoin is used through various online payments. We will see more development of Bitcoin in the future and will gain wide popularity all over the world.

You are absolutely right, there has been such a service for a long time and it has all the popular destinations in tourism. However, the hotel listed above now has the function of paying for accommodation on the spot, which is also undoubtedly a big plus.I think in the near future such a function will appear in many countries where they are loyal to cryptocurrency.

No, it's definitely not the world's first, but it might be the newest.
There are many services and places that have accepted bitcoin as a means of payment before Bahrain did. Then you need to consider El Salvador or any other country that has done it before any of those hotels at Bahrain did.

This is no longer a surprise, but it is definitely expected to increase everywhere throughout the year. I believe it is a good move from one of the hotels in Bahrain, and they probably know that bitcoin will thrive there.

If Novotel Bahrain Al Dana Resort is interested in accepting payment in Bitcoin, they should directly accept Bitcoin through a QR code provided without using 3rd party services. Accepting payments in Bitcoin is admirable either way, but accepting direct seems like a smarter payment method.

That is not a lot great news for Bitcointalk, that is good news for Bitcoin lovers and holders  Smiley Bitcointalk is a forum where Millions of users come together to discuss about bitcoin,  cryptocurrencies and various technical issues and solve problems. Bitcointalk itself is not a Bitcoin user  Huh

Nice to see larger establishments doing their part in hastening bitcoin's global adoption, but I do think it's also nice to have things take a slower path so the public could easily accept it. Judging how the general public hates NFTs and almost always portrays a caricature of it thanks to multiple money laundering schemes and scams arising from the industry. Don't get me wrong. Again, I think it's actually neat that more and more figures and entities are into crypto, it's even seen as a legitimate form of investment nowadays and not some laughingstock like it was back in 2010s. Anywho, I feel like I'm going off a tangent here but what I really mean is that there has to be a way to naturally sell bitcoin and cryptocurrencies to the public without them hating on it in the process. I've seen some people in here pitch really good methods, I think those should be done more often.

That's the goal of Binance to have access and connection with the traveling/tourism industry because they are showing that BTC can be used in the actual world, and you could benefit from it. I think people don't see it as how we see it in the forum, and there is a company that would show the way, in this case, Binance. I admire what they are doing for the crypto community, and I hope they are not into something like the FTX commotion shit.

This is a good development in the hotel and tourism sectors. It is happening in the Middle East, and I hope that it will be replicated in other vacation spots in countries and islands like the Maldives, Fiji, Bali, etc. The downside is that if you are concerned about staying anonymous, you may need to have a rethink about staying there as you would need a Binance account for it. As such, I think it is a step in the right direction towards mass adoption of bitcoin. Bitcoin remains king of crypto.

For those who don't know, Binance partnered with Eazy.net (a well-known payment provider in Bahrain) so now, any service using Eazy services, can start accepting bitcoin (many have already started doing that). This is good for adoption but there's one downside; the users must create Binance accounts if they haven't already. So if you have your BTC in your Electrum wallet, for instance, you can't pay and you must first transfer them to your Binance account.
This is what I don’t like, that I have to use third-party services and the gasket between the user and the hotel represented by binance is not needed at all. Maybe I don't want anyone else to know about my arrival at the hotel in Bahrain. Binance will be able to determine which of the users paid for the services and where. Like it or not, this seems to be how bitcoin payments will be accepted. There will be no direct p2p (user-business) payments with the help of intermediate providers that perform the oversight function.

In general, an interesting idea from the side of the hotel, ideal for advertising purposes. Why is the rest of the business slowing down and using it? Approximate slogans - The first bakery accepting bitcoin! First shoe store to accept btc as payment! At the very least, it will help your business become famous. Smiley And if we discard the jokes, then let's see what will be the dynamics of acceptance bitcoin other hotels after the "Novotel Bahrain Al Dana Resort". Will they be able to set a new trend.

The payment system of this hotel will be through Binance App.

I'm happy to hear this news and that some hotels are also joining the Bitcoin network, but learning that they are using Binance is the last thing I wanted to hear. Accepting Bitcoin payments through a centralized exchange is the worst way to do it. If we want to build a future where everyone can take care of their finances, this is not the right way to go about it.

Binance are starting to get a Monopoly on cryptocurrency payments and that could spell trouble. I know a couple of people who have their money on the exchange despite me telling them to get their money off of it. Their fees are higher because they know that they are the most famous brand in exchanges and they abuse that position. I would like to see a new competitor because Binance are getting to big. When exchanges get to big something usually happens like recently with the exchange taken all the money and declaring they could not pay it back.
