Grin It really is never ending.  It will be rubbed in my face forever.  I wholly and completely except I screwed up and it wont happen again.

It sure will. Or you could have locked the thread after you received the first response from mprep. You can still lock it instead of bumping it (seems like a shitcoining reflex of some sort).

"Mprep is saying their announcement channel had an announcement offering incentives to post at the time the ban was initiated."

It is not true.  All posts asking to come to BTT were well before the 30 day ban.  As I stated I was made aware and then told everyone there would be no more bonuses for posting on BTT.  I then stopped airdrops on here and no longer honored them.  A week or so later the 30 day ban hit.  Now I am here just waiting it out after being told over and over again that "Its my fault.  I deserve it.  etc..."

I will not support or ask for airdrops or wallets on BTT ever again.  I will make sure all rules are followed.

Bro 😎 I have some sympathy for you.

Best thing is just lock the thread 🧵 come back next month.

I then stopped airdrops on here and no longer honored them.

Here is your last post about the airdrop:

Quote
Currently we have close to 300 on Discord -  I give out 50-100 on Airdrops almost daily Plus Bounties I pay etc...   So far 500,000 WSBC have been given out.  That doesnt include MILLIONS in bounties/airdrops from Exchanges that will come.  That and 90,000,000 is being mined now.  So mine, get Airdrops, Bounties and smile because the coin is going out fast....

Nothing about stopping it or not honoring it. Next to last:

Quote
Anyway, if you post here I will honor you're request for coin because that's what this is about.  However, I want you to know that no one is required to do so and there is NO Bonus WSBC Coin sent for posting here.  Thank you.

Clearly says "will honor".

I appreciate your enthusiasm in digging your hole but really that's quite enough.

The OP stated that he was aware of the rule:
I'm being generous in the dialogue here and accepting their assertion:

This was before I knew I could not do that.  I then publicly posted on the BTT Forum NOT to Post coin wallets and that there would be no rewards for doing so.  I then ceased doing so on Discord as well.  Again, before I was aware of such a rule.
Mprep is saying their announcement channel had an announcement offering incentives to post at the time the ban was initiated.
The following was posted by a WSBC team member on their Discord's announcement channel (additional emphasis added by me):

Quote
Also please please ALL OF YOU go to the BitcoinTalk Forum and post a comment, question, anything to help move the ANN up on the list. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--5313507  Do it daily:    Thank you!

If you POST on Bitcoin talk and then PM me I will send a 10 WSBC Bounty for your contribution.  (This Weekend only)  Thank you.

The message was present at the time of the ban. Your thread will not be restored and your ban will not be lifted or its duration reduced, at least not by me.
If the OP was posting in discord that special awards would not be paid for posting in the thread, but there was a separate announcement saying that awards would be paid in an announcement channel, I would consider the posts in the normal channel to be disingenuous, and people would be more likely to see the statement in the announcement channel than the statements the OP is saying he was making.

I already apologized, I already stated that it was a mistake.  Why keep going on and on?  I will wait it out.

You can actually close your thread by navigating to the bottom left of the page, and clicking on Lock Topic.

So no more replies and everyone has a peace of mind Smiley

Or you could read the thread you're posting in instead of spending time switching accounts. OP claimed they didn't know initially, then told everyone to stop posting addresses once they became aware of the rule. Except that's a lie - "if you post here I will honor you're request for coin" doesn't sound at all like "stop posting addresses, it's against the rules".

I'm being generous in the dialogue here and accepting their assertion:

There are at least two archives of their thread. Accepting shitcoiner's claims as fact is doubleplusungood.

Honestly man, I did an honest hiccup, a mistake and they hung me for it with ZERO mercy.  Sucks so bad because now I have to wait 4 weeks for Coingecko.  I forgive everyone involved and will just wait it out.
Rules for thee, but none for me

If we have these up, why enforce them at all if you can simply ignore the consequences by ignoring the rules? I'm better off never reading any rules because therefore I will be exempt from them.
The OP stated that he was aware of the rule:
Quote
I will start by stating that people were in fact posting their wallet addresses on the forum.  After I was told by someone in my community that we cant incentivize I actually posted that WE DO NOT ask or request that anyone post their addresses on the forum and that there would be NO BONUS or reason to do so.
According to mprep, there was a post in the OP's discord channel offering a bounty to make posts in his thread as of when the ban was applied. If the OP had really not been aware of the rule in question, it might not be unreasonable to argue for a reduced punishment in the spirit of forgiveness, but this is not the case. The OP had admitted to knowing about the rule, and according to mprep, someone from his team took steps to break the rule in a way that appears to be intended to evade detection.

Mprep and suchmoon are two of the biggest losers on this forum.  Mprep and suchmoon are both involved with incentivized positing... look at their signatures LOL! *sigh*

It's just a shame Mprep has any authority at all here.  Thank god suchmoon is just a nobody, so I guess I should just count my blessings. Cheesy

Ignorance of the rules doesn't exempt you from them.

You should have hired Mprep for his "Bitcointalk Consulting Service". Cause that isn't sketchy at all.... Tongue!  If you would have paid him, he could have pointed out your mistake and helped you avoid the ban he was going to give you.

Imagine hiring a police officer to tell you "o you can't do that" rather than throw you in jail for 30 days! Pretty handy service!

I wouldn't lose any sleep over them and keep on keeping on.

Good luck with your project and I hope to see you on FOX or CNN someday!

I used to work as an I.T. Admin at a University.  It was an amazing job and it started off great.  The only thing was, the lady that worked with me.  We worked in the SERVICE of others and were expected to listen to our users and implement solutions.  I was always helpful and people loved me for it.  Carla on the other hand was not.  Whenever presented with a problem, issue or request it was bonkers how she would respond.  She was the antithesis of Help and I.T..  She would talk down to the users, say NO to their requests with some 'Technical' reason and just was the most unhelpful person I have ever encountered.  It was so shocking to me I did not understand how she could be that way.  It was always, "No, It's your fault, or Sorry can't help you."  It was literally never YES, or pleasant for the end users.  She would spend 2 hrs composing an email to bash an idea or project and one time, REASONS why we should not use Space Heaters in the office per University policy.  It was horrendous working with her.

Today I am seeing this same thing.  Nothing I did was intentional or with any wrong doing in mind.  Our ANN was read like 1,500 times?  It was nothing.  I already explained that I was unaware of said rules regardless of were they were posted.  For the most part I always try to be positive and don't like to argue or fight with people.  I will simply stay pleasant.  After I was told NOT to do this I did tell people on the ANN not to expect anything or bonuses for posting on here.  Perhaps my wording was not to your liking and you just don't care.  I understand that.  That's what you guys want to do.

But looking for reasons, including going to my discord to find an announcement to come post here etc, is the same thing Carla did.  Just not wanting to listen or help the end user. (me)   Had I known how strict this place was believe me, this would not have happened.  But you guys are something else, you attack, accuse me of scamming or doing nefarious things and NONE of that is true.

I simply admit that I made a mistake and I tried to fix it BEFORE you guys banned me for 30 days unexpectedly.  There was NEVER any ill will.  I am sorry for that mistake and misunderstanding.

Given the previous responses I don't expect anything different and it saddens me a bit.  But I also get where you are coming from given the nature of Bitcointalk and legit scams taking place everyday.   I just think blindly accusing people is not right.  Again, thank you for your time.  I am sorry that we initially asked for users to post wallet addresses on here and it will never happen again.

Have a good night.

No offense, but I'm not customer support, IT admin or your personal concierge. I'm a forum moderator and my job is to keep the forum tidy as per the policies laid out by Bitcointalk's administration. While I can understand and often take a much more lenient view towards other rule offenses (everyone makes mistakes), on-forum altcoin giveaways have (AFAIK) historically been the second largest contributor to spam in the altcoin sections (right behind the other source of incentivized posting - signature campaigns; the forum administration hasn't prohibited those though), which is why I have a zero tolerance policy towards such campaigns. As an altcoin section mod, I've heard numerous excuses of how someone running an altcoin giveaway "didn't know" despite warnings plastered all across the board but after the 100*n'th time, these excuses fall on deaf ears.

Thank you for that, I will wait to see what happens or wait it out.  Have a good day guys.

Here is how it usually works here. Someone noticed your thread being spammed with ridiculous garbage. They found the reason (your incentive on Discord). Reported to mods. Mods checked it and issued a warning (in the form of a temp ban) for not reading the rules. Very nice of them to not permaban you. You were blatantly breaking other rules too, like multiposting and ref link spam. And here is what you actually posted in the thread:

Quote
Anyway, if you post here I will honor you're request for coin because that's what this is about.  However, I want you to know that no one is required to do so and there is NO Bonus WSBC Coin sent for posting here.  Thank you.

It sounds like you were still paying for posting in the thread after you knew that it's against the rules.

Your anecdote is nice but completely irrelevant. This is Bitcoin forum. Your complaint about some shitcoining unfairness is like a hobo harassing a cashier in a grocery store because the restroom is not up to your high standards. Go pee in the gas station around the corner. Or just around the corner.
