Also people here are not stupid. Of course it would look off if he suddenly increased the loan amount from a previous 2k to suddenly 5k.
Increasing $2k to $5k will not look so suspicious to be honest. A person who have record of taking $1k to $2k regularly and paying it in time, repeating it for many months may not create a doubt at all.

Anyway, I think OP needs to lock the thread. I can only wish good luck to the lenders and the borrower. Trust is a very important virtue for a man. Let's trust the "trust".

Exit scam.
Not yet. I just checked that the debt has been paid.

However, I have a feeling that at some point we will see an exit scam. It's a classic strategy to scam a lender. Take small loan, repay in time. Slowly increase the amount and continue repayment. Increase the amount more and still continue the repayment. Then at some point take a very large sum and disappear for good. We have seen it all.

No disrespect to HedgeFx, I hope he is honest and will never think of any wrong doing.

Well, after the amount of loans he had in the past this would be the worst scam of all time since Hedge paid more than 2000$ in fees over the months/last year.
So even if he scammed 2k now he would actually have lost money from all the fees he paid over the last months. Of course we never know what happens in the future but that's the way I see it.

You have a good point! But to make an exit scam you need to be able to take a very huge amount so you don't end up in a loss from all the interest you have paid from the previously loans so I don't think its a easy task.
But it's very strange to take loan very often and just giving away interest month after month, if you already have the money it's not the brightest idea.
Better to avoid to borrow money at all cost.  Smiley
We already have a few examples of the type of exit scams. Anyway, I don't want to continue on this thread about it since every has settled between TryNinja and his borrower.

And he just paid back a loan that I gave him for a month in a few days still gave me full interest.

At a guess something closed out at a nice profit for him when BTC capped $80000 yesterday and a bunch of other coins / tokens also spiked way the hell up.

I *think* I know what he is doing in terms of trading and arbitrage. And just using OPM to do it with.

Not a bad concept. Yes giving away 10% is a lot but if you turn $1500 into $2300 do you care if you only net $650 instead of $800?

And since he is taking the loans for a month if it does go boom I am guessing he has a job and can just pay back out of pocket.

It is still the choice of the people making the loans.

Yes it's a couple of guesses on my part, but it's my money....

฿itcoin for all, All for ฿itcoin.
Those facilitating these loans are taking what can only be described as bribes to look the other way and so are you.

You used to portray yourself as impartial and wanting what's best for the Forum though policing such things as ban evasion, yet here you are turning a blind eye to a ban evader (late more often than not on repayments on unsecured loans that are ever increasing in size for mostly gambling habits)
But he is not a moderator, so he has no power to ban or unban a user. I think the better people this should be addressed to are the moderators. If they haven't banned him due to certain reasons, then there's nothing that we can do. I, too, have reported some users in the past to get banned, but they didn't get banned. You simply just move on from that.

The users lending him are experienced forum members who know the risk. Should anything happen, they will be aware that the loss is on them, and they will certainly make a report about it.

Other User's trust has literally moved me: if I don't spend much time on the forum anymore it's because I'm working so hard, but I always know that in this community I will find good people capable of improving me in every aspect.

It depends. Vary from person to person.
If someone working hard offline, it's not impossible for them to find more cheap loans in real life. Of course that may need some paperwork. People lend on a forum based on the user's overall activity and trustworthiness. If TryNinja or another lender believes it is worth giving someone ten thousand dollars, it is up to them. No one is going to ask them why they are doing it. But from my point of view, I wouldn't lend to someone who is not active on the forum. I don't even know if they will come back later or not. I am not a lender, nor do I have the capability to give big loans. So, It's better to stay away from such discussions. All I did was, share my own opinion.

Why do you have so much difficulty admitting you were wrong?

I NEVER WAS LATE as you wrote: everytime i paid days after dayline, ther was a previous agreement (it's so hard read was TN or others lender wrotes? Or you think they are liar as you?)

Also WHY YOU don't wrote a post everytime i paid in advance? Why?

You're just here to make unfounded accusations about me, but until proven otherwise, the only one who posts about BETTING between you and me is you.

I tell you once again, live your life with serenity and stop looking for things that don't exist in my life.

honestly I don't really see the point of this thread except you want to ruin someone else reputation

Irony. This is the reputation section, yet we seemingly can't talk about ban evasion or self admitted ban evasion.

Glib comment.

Is everything okay at home?

Honestly, this is unprofessional of you @Timelord2067 and what you just did is ''defamation of character''. Perhaps, if a borrower defaults a loan or attempts to, it's the lender that have the right to make accusations of scam and not any other person. Even looking at HedgeFx trusted feedbacks, i can see a lot of positive tags of previous loans he borrowed and made repayments as agreed between him and the lenders. Maybe you have personal malice with HedgeFx, thinking... Please next time be more matured and professional  Embarrassed

Now that it has been confirmed that the loan has completely been paid to the lender, @Timelord2067 could you please do us a favor and lock this thread ASAP?

Not sure how this is your issue @Timelord? Does he owe you? I'm sure if the guy defaults, there will be a thread but either way it's not up to you to open this thread. You're not protecting the community jumping the gun, you're trying to be relevant and proving why you are not.
I also had these questions of yours here he created this thread to say but why he created this thread I don't understand if there was any problem among the people. Who gave and took loans here they could have created a topic about it themselves but why come here  I did not understand.

Otherwise, I think he might have found it a bit suspicious so he tried to bring it up. In fact, after taking a loan, it can be seen that there may be a little here and there, but if these things are discussed properly between the lender and the borrower, then it is not right for us to talk about them. Maybe he made it up because he found it suspicious, since it's nicely done. I think this topic should be locked.

Once again you have wasted your time with your paranoia.

People like you are very dangerous because they are always ready to pull the trigger to shoot shit without suffering the consequences.

Maybe it's time that those who make certain statements, accusing innocent people and defaming those who work honestly, started to seriously pay for their mistakes.

A thank you to all users who waited before making hasty judgments.

HedgeFx looks to be unable to repay their $2,200 loan having last posted one month ago.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5511511.0;dt

A quick review of their recent post history shows ever larger loans on the pretext their repayment history is collateral enough.

This user is a self admitted ban evader with a proven past history of late repayments.

Their posting pattern has changed, dropping all other posts with the exception of taking out ever larger loans.

Exit scam.

HedgeFx asked me if it was ok to repay a few days later since he wouldn't be home at time, I agreed and the loan was fully repaid today. There was no exit scam.

I checked the TRX address he used on that loan and recently he received almost $7,000 in that address.
https://www.oklink.com/trx/address/TAWMrGapnfBt6pbfkExBHuSB9bDMunnaeo/token-transfer

He is currently online, so I guess he might respond in this thread and probably pay it soon.

Edit: Paid

Repaid in full + little tip (i prevuously informed TN by pm that the payment would be delayed by a few days)

I would wait for the lender to say something first before accusing someone of being a scammer : maybe they are in touch somewhere else and agreed for a delay , maybe not but everybody else cannot know it for sure.

I guess you're posting from 3 days in the future.

hehe I would rather say that it derives from something in the past that has never subsided in OP's soul

Exit scam.
It is quite twisted that an exit scam is happening here, considering that HedgeFX has already paid interest to lenders more than this $2000 through many previous loans. It is illogical that the scammer ends up with less money than he invested in the scheme.
However, I would not deal with this case until one of the two parties involved presents more information about the status of the loan.

I agree with @suchmoon, honestly I don't really see the point of this thread except you want to ruin someone else reputation (I didn't mean to defend him though because late payment isn't right). As long as the lender is still active and he's the one who know about his money, it's unnecessary for other people to jump in.

Another thing that kind of boggles me is why give a loan when the user's history is questionable? Those are enough red flags for me to hold myself back if I were the one giving the loan but maybe you'd just have to give the user the benefit of the doubt and hope he doesn't disappoint.
The lender know what he doing, he's familiar with this forum, so it means he agree with the risk and reward.
