Plagiarism and trolling won't this be enough for banning. There should some action right? There are so many negative trust reported. I completely agree with OP. Forum rules states that trolling and plagiarism are not accepted when why is the user not banned?

Is game-protect still trolling?  I don't ignore people for trolling mostly, but he's one of very few people who convinced me it's a good feature to have on the forum.  Even CH Incorporated hasn't gotten there, and likely never will.

basement-dwelling idiot no-life

Cryptohunter the true legend who has accomplished more than the entire DT crew combined ( a couple of exceptions) have or ever will, and of course would never wish to troll. The truth is far more satisfying than trolling when dealing with those that have shady histories here.

A per the board rules .. The willful and deliberate proliferation of FALSE, Incorrect and previously debunked information or statements = TROLLING. This is far more befitting to people like yourself direwolf who insists that observable instances that are fully verifiable and undeniable are " THE OPPOSITE OF FACTS".  That per the board rules is TROLLING. WHY? because it misleads people and deceives people, it is net negative and damaging.

Cryptohunter challenged the entire board to debunk or demonstrate any of his central points were incorrect (all of his "trolling" specifically relates to observable instances on this forum) and NONE of you could find ANYTHING to present LOL

Coupled with the fact most of you  are scammers or scammer supporters, have never achieved anything of note and are broke down bums ... whilst he can claim to have forced scams to offer the biggest compensation offer EVER in HISTORY on this forum,  and claim to have been crucial/vital to ensuring BTC was never knocked from number1 spot on CMC, and helped many become millionaires. Then it should not be a shock that he is not "BANNED". More sensible to make him warden of this board. Someone that has the strength of character needed in this dark times to weed out the scum.

TROLLING is NOTHING compared to scamming and enforced double standards. That does 100X more damage to this community that any trolls have ever done. By community we refer to the entire forum not the twilight zone of scum bags in meta.

You can not ban people for TROLLING unless there is a clear set of criteria that you can match their behavior against.  If telling inconvenient truths is trolling then put that in the rules so people know what sort of forum they are dealing with. Just say expressing the truth is going to get you banned if it is something the DT's or mods want to remain hidden. Put that in the rules in big red letters and then start banning the people you want to label as TROLLS.

I would actually say most DT members do meet the clear threshold for trolling. They are trying to label the truth as TROLLING. This is trolling, they are trying to mislead members to believe that those presenting observable instances that are independently verifiable  are TROLLS. They are clearly trying to deter people from finding the truth and misleading them.

It is clear, that is what we call TROLLING TROLLING. It is all they can do to scream troll/trolling  when they know they dare not tackle the central points because they will be crushed in public by the truth.

NO, we would say bans for trolling should still come way under bans for scamming, bans for trying to facilitate scamming and abusing the systems of control. These are far more damaging and dangerous for this community. That people like game=protect. (If it can be proven he is scammer we have not seen this proof that is different) then simply ignore or debunk his points.

If you can not debunk his central points or demonstrate he is incorrect then perhaps he is not trolling. If you have clearly debunked his central points  and yet he continues to proliferate clearly debunked and false information .. then it would warrant a warning first to stop presenting that specific information as being true, only if he continues would be a clear case for an initial temp ban.

Trolling should be low on the list for bans compared to scamming and abuse of the systems of control. What good is banning these people they will simply return anyway, debunk their points and then link to post where these points were previously debunked. That is all you can really do. The reader can then have access to the truth and not be mislead.

Those screaming trolling with ZERO evidence of previously debunked points relating specifically to what they are trying to label as trolling should be warned first, and then banned also. That is equally as misleading and dangerous.

Presentation of the truth should never be confused with trolling.

Worry more about real dangerous scammers and those abusing the system of control for their own ends than someone who wants to entangle themselves fighting "gambling" sites with no license.

True, if btctalk unpaid detectives spent their time busting GP, I'm sure we would have good evidence to get him banned. I have been trying to report some of his posts as they are pretty spammy/shitty sometimes but I don't think it's going to work.

You can't be banned for scamming, and no amount of detective work in the world is going to change that. Only spamming, trolling, or posting links to malware. If you care so much, make the case yourself instead of relying on others to do it for you. Make a case that details exactly why he's a troll, point to similar bannings, and then present it to the admin / mods.

Well, first of all, the case is already made, anyone that has interacted with GP would agree she deserves a ban. Either way, the rule about not banning scammers seems absolutely idiotic, especially in this case. Sometimes it can be hard to judge whether someone is a scammer or not but GP herself has admitted she scammed H4ns, it's not even a debate anymore. GP is also trolling around constantly saying that h4ns started a 'defamation campaign' and that he is the one who owes her money because 10,000 - 210 = 9790, so h4ns owes her that money.

What's the benefit of not banning GP right now?

If I were to guess based on my experience around here Theymos doesn't want to set that precedent. As you said previously often the truth is not completely evident and if that were the precedent it could wind up wrapping  up more innocent users. Not to mention the admins and staff already have plenty to deal with without being the designated forum babysitters.

Theymos's default has usually been to let us manage ourselves if at all possible, and when he deviates from that it more often than not results in unintended consequences. The reason I suggested everyone watch them like a hawk and report everything report-able is that if he sees that enough people are tired of their shit he might decide to push that nuke button.

One man's troll is another man's freedom fighter basement-dwelling idiot no-life. Yes, people can and sometimes are banned for trolling but you really need to be going full-retard for that to happen. Game-Protect is a tricky one. He seems to (try) make his money by hassling bitcoin gambling companies and there's been half a dozen complaints about him over the years but pointing out that casinos often don't have a licence or him now allegedly scamming someone aren't reasons to ban him as annoying as he may be. If you feel he should be banned for breaking the rules then either post the evidence in here on the infractions or report them to the mods.

This. Just watch him like a hawk and report every infraction you can think of. Don't make shit up and spam reports of course, but if everyone is up his ass with every mistake he makes, this will at least follow precedent of a justified ban even if it is not directly for trolling.

who will have so much time in the world to watch GP? GP is a guy who has over 90% of his posts on every casino-related thread... anyone who spends hours watching GP risks going crazy

Oh there are plenty of people around here with way too much time on their hands. Unfortunately they spend mos of their days crafting Hardly Boys narratives about random users they pick out of a hat to scrutinize in order to rank up their scambuster count like they are playing Frogger while there are plenty of known cons to go after.

He's now trolling one particular victim of his scam by claiming that the victim owes him money for defamation etc:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/game-protect-online-gaming-consumer-protection-1535816

This is just the latest post, this has been going on for almost a month in that thread. game-protect never disputed any facts, just littered the thread with lame questions (like when exactly he scammed the victim). It's really hard to put together a sensible mod report for trolling since this depends on dozens of pages of context.

FWIW, I think we're pushing him/her into a corner in the right direction, because they finally admitted that they owe the money and haven't repaid it. I'm gonna sit out of the whole thing for a little while and let you continue on. Just keep boxing them in them on a single path, and eventually they will have nowhere else to go and leave but forward.

Who cares if GP admits it or not, nothing is going to change even if he blatantly and explicitly said she scammed someone.

Its not for GP. Its for people reading the thread who may still have something of a doubt that they are not a scammer. I'd like this possibility to be removed 100%.

GP was temporarily banned, at least one or two times, but I don't know there are users permanently banned by trolling or not.
There is another key rule to give your hands to eradicate trolling or reduce trolling, at least, by don't feed the troll, nevertheless.
3. No trolling.

If theymos was forcing that rule r0ach wouldn't be among us right now. I believe the rule is there only if the troll somehow succeeds at what he is doing.

For example the troll I named above is almost added to every person's ignore list probably, which means nobody gives a fuck about what he thinks. > unsuccessful troll, no ban needed.

Same goes to GP. Nobody cares.

True, with a but r0ach (as far as I can tell) never stole from anyone. And 95% if not more his posts are in 1 thread so it's kind of contained.
GP is more of a cancer.
Just my view.

And as I said. The more we waste their time in the threads the less time they can try to scam someone.
Yes, with the big red warning and the negative feedback it's harder but it could still happen.

Let me go poke the troll. Will not accomplish anything, but it's fun.

Yeah I don't think GP will ever return the money. He seems to be a broke-ass scammer-wannabe with too much time on his hands. His "business" here on the forum is done and he's just exit-trolling all of us. Not feeding the troll has been suggested but I think I'll continue for a little bit while he's still incriminating himself. There are the trust ratings, the flag, etc - seems we've done everything we could.

GP is indeed clearly trolling when it comes to h4ns. GP is obviously ignoring or making up stuff as well as constantly asking the same questions over and over, if that's not trolling, I don't know what is. Notbatman could be considered a troll but at least he is not scamming people, I wouldn't ask anyone to ban him, GP on the other hand, is a toxic individual, clearly a scammer (I know you don't ban scammers). I just don't see any benefit of allowing him to keep posting here, the only thing it can accomplish is GP scamming more people.
