Use your intelligence and perform due diligence, just because some members don't like something doesn't mean admins will change anything. At this point any chance of a change in a marketplace rule is close to zero.

"Perform due diligence"

What if newbies are stupid? Like most. Alot that are new to Bitcoin have no idea of the scammers, and this forum's sections only encourage that.

If no one will fall to their "scam" attempt, then no one will be scammed. I think it's fair to say that MOST people around here are smart enough not to trade with those newbies that you are reffering to.

OP I tend to agree with you on this but bct doesn't even ban scammers even when they're caught.  A lot of people just create new accounts to fish for suckers and they abandon them when no one bites.  So restricting newbies would help that.

There are stickies, if they chose to ignore them that is none of forum's concern.

I also agree. If someone is new and wants to buy bitcoin, why dont they go to some reputable bitcoin exchange and buy from them? Many btc exchanges accept payment with PayPal.It will be more safer for them also if they really wants to buy

Totally agree with that. Maybe just hide the section for newbies or even Jr members. They only spam with countless threads only saying:"I have PayPal. I want bitcoin"
I just ignore the PMs from newbies that want to exchange. They find countless excuses for avoiding escrow, and if they don't agree with that, they'll leave you with red trust.

In currency exchange, 50% of the posts on page 1 are from newbies, which makes it difficult to search for a legit trader.

It's ridiculous as to why they are allowed making threads. I'd say a good >99% are made to scam. More at the same scammers coming back for more money, and other Newbies end up going first always, sooner or later. It's crazy. Why are Newbies allowed to post there? They can't post images, can't post more than once in a 6 minute period, yet the gates to scamming are left wide open.

Not to mention >80% of lending/currency exchange threads are useless garbage made by Newbies that are trying to scam or have no collateral. You have to sort through a ton of bullshit before finding an actual serious thread.
