are you using guiminer to lauch litecoin?

launch litecoin wallet from the start menu
then let it update
then start guiminer

then start litecoin wallet then change guiminer to
user1
password

and click start

if that dosnt work then im stumped

then launch litecoin wallet
wait for it to be upto date

go to guiminer scrypt alfa
create new miner

host:localhost
Port:9332
username:same as in litecoin.conf
Password:same as in litecoin.conf
select device settings and what ever

click start and it should be a go

ah that might be why XD right copy the roaming litecoin.config file into
C:\Program Files (x86)\Litecoin

(sorry the guides wrong and its been ages since i solo mined XD)

id recomend a pool but im happy to help if you want to solo mine theres not many problems it can be

set the rpcuser name to what ever you want same with password (leave rpcuser= part in and same part for password type after the = )


rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password

ok the movies on pause... Cheesy so in your litecoin directory
C:\Users\Windows 7\AppData\Roaming\Litecoin there should be a file called litecoin.conf
is it there?

No the file properties says its a .conf file so that part worked, its set as read only.

Do I have to move the litecoin client to the data folder %appdata% roaming\litecoin
