Both has its own security features. Only on necessity we need to choose. Now banks are needed same as bitcoin wallet. So having both keeps you comfortable.
Wallet is better IMO, you become your own bank and not just a user like in regular banks. I think it would be great if there is profit added automatically though, That would be probably the only thing I like about banks! 
I prefer bitcoin wallets over bank as its easy to use and no legal chik chik 
if you want to stay decentralized go for bitcoin wallet, you have total control of your funds whit the private key, in this moment i think that fiat it's necessary to sustain bitcoin, wee need banks to transfer money tofrom exchanges
Bitcoin wallet and bank account are two different things with different purpose. If one occupy the other's purpose, then only one will survive. Hopefully it would be bitcoin wallet.
I do not think bitcoin wallet will be against with the bank. because the real game is bitcoin vs fiat. of course the winner will also impact on bitcoin wallet and bankBitcoin is going to win this war sooner or later but the fittest bitcoin will survive for sure.
Well its difficult to say the banks are also strong, I must say the bitcoin is already a step further than banks because its fully digital.
But its also the fact you have to keep in mind the bitcoin is still not stable and banks can have influence for sure, no doubts about that.
Overall I think the bitcoin can win but it will be a long journey!
The normal banks are now reducing. And of course many people need their banks, so they cant disappear now.
Banks wont disappear they will just upgrade their system and adapt bitcoin system and put it in their system.
Banks will evolve to with the competition of bitcoin that is taking a way profit from them.

Recently i have moved my saved money mostly to bitcoin, i have put 70% on bitcoin and 30% on my local bank for any emergency use, so currently i like more the bitcoin wallet, hope to get a bitcoin debit card soon which would be better.
bitcoin is better then banks because we can control fully our money. we don't need any ban's help to save our money and invest them. everyone is his own bank in bitcoin wallets. and now with debit card , using bitcoin is more reliable and easy.but we need pysichal currency for daily usage, we can't use bitcoin every where, in some village you can't acces internet conection, you can't acces your bitcoin and bank account, so the best option is use fiat. use pysichal wallet.

Bitcoin wallet is much better in my opinion than a bank since it's more supporting on de-centralization , a bank is unnecessary right now on bitcoin, If a site offers interest in a serious way it would be very interesting though.

there are advantages and disadvantages if you choose to become a bank for yourself. Of course all of the responsibility rests on you. when you have lost passwords or identifer or priv key. no one can help you. no customer support that will help you. of course it will make you trouble, right?
This are two completely different things and I don't think that BTC wallet can't replace bank account. And with efforts to establish Bitcon banks show that people obviously still need some kind of institution that probably gives them some feeling of security and order. No matter how funny this sounds.

Both is of course very good to use. But people that use Bitcoin use only the wallets and that is pretty logic.

a bank as a central authority or something that interferes with bitcoin main concepts like decentralization? I don't think that will work... Also a bank does not work with something that is not linked to ID's like bitcoin so it won't work on both ways IMO.
yeahh, you are right, in australia, bank banned bitcoin company, in future i think bitcoin and other cryptocurrency can't be survive if bank not support bitcoin.
