Bitcoin without regulations make it unsafe when you compare with banking system. But 2008 - 2011 crises show us nowhere is safe...  Huh
At this point I have seen more Bank failures then bitcoin. Money stored in Banks are not 100% yours to begin with. Citizens of Cyprus and Greece learned this truth the hard way.
I don't want to be another victim of approaching economic crisis when my money will be grabbed to fix national economy or something.
And crisis  will come, sooner or later and hit harder than the last one in 2009.

Why not have the best of both worlds and keep whatever you need in the bank and something on a bitcoin wallet so you could use whatever you need when the occasion arises?

That is what people are doing. I sometimes wonder if there could be banks which run with bitcoins , I mean you can deposit bitcoins there and get withdraw as bitcoins too. It would be really crazy idea but will be a future revolution Tongue .

IMHO, Banks should not be involved/emerged with Bitcoins as it will bring in centralization as they will keep all records and by some means, will also produce them to the governments if they ask them to provide...
Yes, banks in future will become as bitcoin exchanges. It may accept bitcoins as part of their deposit/withdraw functionalities. But will track how many bitcoin you transact.

If bank acquire bitcoin as part deposit. Again bank will try earn from that like putting charges and taxes in between bitcoin transfer. So better be with bitcoin wallet.
That's one of the huge pluses of Bitcoin, you have the power to hold your Bitcoin and keep it safe without the need for there to be a bank there to keep it safe.

We already have technical transaction fees right now, but you're right, banks like to charge a fee whenever something has to move, so it is likely banks would try to exploit this portion of Bitcoin and utilize it for their gain.

Banks will track your bitcoins transaction when they adopt bitcoin. But that is required by  the government. Nothing special.

only if you use their service, otherwise they can not track shit, if you use core in your desktop

That's others didn't get honestly.

If bitcoin will truly adopt and exchange the current banking system, did you think World Bank (or maybe replace by World Bitcoin lol) , Central Bank of every country will just let bitcoin transaction to be anonymous. Of course not as it will lead to much more negative uses. Money used today under terms of WB still can use to negative use so how much if the bitcoin will continue to become anonymous.

Im fine with the bitcoin status now. No tax. Anonymous. Much better if it will go to the moon. I don't want bitcoin replace the whole banking system.

No need to worry about it dude. Better buy bitcoin debit card that will helpful in this case. You can that while purchasing, paying bills and Fiat currency with drawl as well. For bank you need person to maintain separately with each and every treasurer in the branches but In bitcoin wallet you are only person can access your account. I feel bitcoin most trusted than bank.

Yeah with bitcoins you have your own bank and you don't have to be dependent on banking system as you have total control over your money which no bank can provides you, with banks you need to follow their rules and regulations and also the charges they imposes on the customers, with bitcoins you have freedom to hold your money and to spend it.

because the ultimate goal of bitcoin should be the one to disrupt fiat completely, not only as an alternative

their system is corrupted so it need to die, rather everyone should use from now bitcoin, as much as possible

I really agree with you, it is very wise. Using the bank and bitcoin wallet is also very well balanced manner so that we can use it well anyway.
It was a good suggestion by me

SOME in a bank, but the majority in a wallet. I even record a wallet.dat on a DVD-rw at times so I have one or so around if my

computer should be done in due to something and need re-doing. I also am getting a btc debit card so I can withdraw some cash.
There's a bitcoin debit card?

can you give me a link to the provider ?

check this https://bit-x.com/cards

there's also Xapo, of course.

https://in.xapo.com/campaign/debit/

many providers who provide bitcoin debit card, there ecoin, coinocard, bitx, xapo, etc
You can see it in the service section. you can also ask first in their thread ANN
This is a form that bircoin could be better than bank

I still preferred banks because most of my transactions are in bank and fiat system.

Bitcoin wallet are just my backup funds. In terms of transferring of course much better in bitcoin but all of my transactions can't cover by bitcoin. So for now, banks.

What if something happens with the bank? What if it crashes?
You won't ever see that money back

It won't happen as my bank used are one of the stable banks here in our country. Forget those ancient thing about bank crashing and in general, why would you choose a bank that is not stable? That kind of thinking is really an ancient thinking. We are in year 2016 dude. Look like you are newbie in the world of banking system.

It has nothing to do with ancient thinking, maybe you are new to the scene.
I was more thinking of what if the bank goes bankrupt, you don't know what kind of issues they are dealing with within those walls.

If everyone use bitcoin I will for sure use Bitcoin wallet for sure, but I use fiat daily.
Example: like in the store they don't accept bitcoin. So for now I am just doing some cold wallet and just online shopping for bitcoin.
It really depends where you live and what is the rules for bitcoin in your country. I choose both.
Ya depends on the adoption of the mass. if a state legalizes bitcoin and various shops accept bitcoin. of course I would prefer to use bitcoin. but this situation is different

So true everyone in bitcointalk would like to just use bitcoin wallet, but for our personal life fiat is actually our money to use daily. Is nice to have bitcoin aside is not making a fake money, but is something that you can earn a lot with it.
Ya for now we can only rely on fiat money for our daily purpose in the real life
bitcoin cannot support it in the real life. so this is what happens.

Well, bank is different and bitcoins has some other advantages. That's why I love using bitcoins but bank is best at their place. What ever Banks give you now, bitcoin is getting ready to give you all of them along with privacy and security. Smiley
