Can you give complete step by step what you are copying from where and why. Give example ... It sounds like you are copying news from here to other forums which I guess can not be right else it is not copying and pasting here and we do not moderate other forums for them right. So I am not getting what you mean so far.  If you are a member of a community here and are copying news about your project from elsewhere to  your ann thread here then I see no issue with that either really.

Copying news say from twitter feed of a project to a projects thread here is common place by many teams copy their news from the twitter announcement to their threads here and of course is not copy and paste to be banned for perm.

Many people who are the community managers or just well known members of communities always copying and pasting twitter annoucement for that project  to the ANN thread

 ok , so i think what the OP is trying to say is that , there was an announcement about a prize of extra postcoins for those who guess the right number of something !  on > bitalk.org  ( a Russian website i think) which he had to announce to the members of bitcointalk.org

so he thinks it was a generous act of him to let the people on this forum know about whatever prize was given.

if YES , then i do not think this counts as plagiarism, because in many languages including mine, we do not reference a quoted text the same way in English, and by default since the text source is clear then it is not an attempt of plagiarism.

for example if i saw a tweet on Megan fox twitter saying  " Megan will marry trump because he is hot"

if i had to announce that to somebody else i would say the following:

Megan will marry trump because he is hot. without quotations as long as the source is there and it reference the original person.

and since we know i am not Megan fox, and still copied and pasted her text, it is not plagiarism. but if i said I am going to marry trump because he is hot, then it's plagiarism.

so if the Russian speakers on this forum know that the OP is not the postcoin official speaker nor he claimed to be , then this is certainly not a plagiarism.

I doubt that those who only speak English will understand "exactly" what i am trying to point out , but i am sure those whose English is their second language will understand.

tho i still find it strange that someone who has been around this long can't speak proper English ( i know he is not obligated to ) but it is just strange.

If they copy texts without proper quotes and attribution please be a good citizen and report them to moderators.

Well his english is hard to follow but if he is just posting news bulletins for his project to other forums on topic and relevant that should not be a problem.

It would seem similar to the cryptopia example.

As usual you miss the point of what an example may be.

Prove spamming and motive to do so or else again false accusation.  Not that I am bothered or will start crying to red trust about it but still groundless comments and attempting to silence my free speech on this board should not be tolerated over extended periods. Moderators do not tolerate copy pasting or plagiarizm, I don't think they have enough time to run a full investigation for each case.

I am not disputing this is the correct decision because so far no many have been even questionable after further investigation but you all seem to be shutting him down early. Let's hear the full side of what he is saying.

I mean copying news that cryptopia is delisting your coin and about to keep your coins in a few days to the pertinent thread is not copy and paste you SHOULD BE banned for. This is important news and is a very net positive post to read if you have those coins.

It doesn't matter. The bottom line is you made a post in which the content was written by someone else, without providing correct attribution. The fact that other people who were shilling and/or being paid by "PostCoin" also took part in this behaviour is not an excuse. If you wish to provide links to their posts, then they will be banned as well, but your ban will not be reversed.

Well you should have declared your alt accounts before modz will going to see copy and paste posts. Besides, even if you own it still copy and paste is not a good practice when replying a different thread for it will have a different opinion to posts. And why on earth have done this? Are you get tired of typing and encoding replies in a posts? This is the problem starts where members tend to cheat on replying posts just to comply the number of posts needed for signature bounty campaign.

How this forum ever got to this point is beyond me.
