Nope, he is not on my spreadsheet where I usually list those that i've banned... Probably there's a deeper reason than referral link...

Do you have ability to see who has issued the ban?

Nope, I don't... Only admins have the capability like that...

My Colleague has the same issue her USER is : ross09

Please have it reviewed sir @rickbig41

Is it due to her posting on the same section?

Banning without researching does not sound very responsible to me.

Moderators are humans too, we all make mistakes. It looks like rickbig41 is looking into it for you now.

4. No referral code (ref link) spam. [1]

As far as I can tell the interpretation of spam here is generally that you should not post any referral links. The punishment seems harsh though, I think mostly the posts just get deleted unless someone keeps doing it.

When I was a newbie I posted a referral link. That post was deleted and I received the typical email:

Quote
“A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by a Bitcoin Forum moderator. Posts are most frequently deleted because they are off-topic, though they can also be deleted for other reasons. In the future, please avoid posting things that need to be deleted.”

Nothing else happened. So, I don’t think it’s just for posting a referral link.

It's a false ban for a "phishing link". Im pretty sure the mod did not even bother to check the domain, as the url was so long so he tagged it as phishing.

I hope that mods have logs of everything on the forum, as a moderator banning people without reason should not be mods as they have a certain kind of responsibility.

Banning without researching does not sound very responsible to me.

There is no such a rule, unless it is spam or phishing.
You should know this as you have been longer here than me, try to avoid making false statements which are not helpful at all.

Is there a duration on how many days your ban would last?

Nope. I was banned permanently for a referral link i guess Tongue
The wirex referral links are long, and look shady but the domain still ends on "wirexapp.com" which is the official link of wirex.

If that minor offense, I think it only 7 days banning for the first offense.

Snip

It was actually a referral link to wirex, and not a phishing link. Could you take a look on this, as the person who banned me has not done alot of research.

Out of curiosity, was this you?:

hello r u have account BTT with hero rank and without red trust ? i want buy some account

Nope.

The comment on your ban is "(Now edited out) Wirex phishing." I don't know what post this refers to, but presumably it's now gone.

As the new admin, I just banned you because I just didn't like you. ;/
Global moderators can do bans and admins are the only people able to ban any ranking member. let us wait for a global mod here.

Banned me 3 times , keeps deleting posts

Try to post in Serious discussion a few times to see if you are going to even have any post count increased. lol. as I understand, you are a dev. achow101 is a dev and has served Bitcoin's community for years. please don't try to insult him on his section.

Are you pretending to be staff here? I just don't get it...

Or are you just trying to be sarcastic... Sometimes people use italics for sarcasm

The moderator achow101 is abusing his position here
I did not ban him nor did I request for him to be banned. Also, normal moderators cannot ban any users, they can only request bans.

At first, I thought you were banned because of Selling accounts, but when I read it clearly after clicking the topic, it's just a name (Sellingaccs). Well I'm sure that you have done something wrong which violates the rule. There is no reason for your account to get banned if there is no possible and enough reason to ban it. Do you remember anything you've done wrong? I'm sure that there is, you just can't remember it or you just don't know that it was wrong.

The only way to retrieve your banned account is by contacting Sir theymos and other staff involved in recovering accounts. Since they are busy, you just need to be patience and wait for their reply. It is just a ban, you can still retrieve it. If it is your first attempt then it will only take 7 days if your problem is not resolved, but if Sir theymos responded to you, it is just about a few days.

Good luck.

Im pretty sure it is not him, as he has merited multiple of my posts.
I do not see a reason that he would ban a user, whose posts he likes.

I have gone through some of your post history. Did not find anything odd there. I wonder what could be the reason?
These are the ban procedures for spamming (again your posts looks ok).

Third offence: 30 days
Fourth: Permanent ban

A ban could be for plagiarism as well. Do you think you have any possibility for that? I am really confused. Wish you good luck mate.

I have never, ever copied anyone's posts and posted them as my own.
I have not heard anyone getting banned for temper, as i can be very harsh sometimes so i wonder as well why i was banned.
There is no any messages about the ban.
