How do you want to enforce this? Give Mods more work?

Here is a radical suggestion. Ban all Bitcoin loans.
We're all (supposed to be) adults. And even if we're not adults, it's a good life lesson to learn with small mistakes before you make big mistakes.
If someone wants to give out a loan, that's entirely their own decision and risk. I've never loaned or borrowed Bitcoins and I don't plan to do so, but if someone else wants to, let them!

Plus, the loan-topics and Trust with it are great to read while eating popcorn!
There's already stickies in the loan section warning people about the dangers of loans. If they're too ignorant to read those or even consider the consequences, then let them be and lose the money. Hopefully then they'll learn from the experience and not be dinguses.

Toxic debt is destroying the fiat banking system, do we want the same to happen to Bitcoin? If you need a Bitcoin loan, then get a fiat loan, and buy the Bitcoin.

We know many people create new accounts just to scam others but I don't believe this is real problem. I have seen on several occasions people buying higher rank accounts and start soliciting for loans with them. I think this are the most dangerous people than the newbies because they will make you believe that they are trusted members yet they just bought the accounts.

No one is forcing anybody to give out loan,  if you don't want to give loan to newbies don't give,  and stop telling the forum to ban newbies from requesting for loan

The person who give the loan can decide whether to do or not do. Why everything in life have to be regulated by other people.
The main problem is that newbies were continuously asking for loan without (valid) collateral on this subsection and hence clogs it up. Almost all of the loans weren't approved but they just make a new account and come back. It doesn't matter so much anymore since it has mostly slowed down.

re:your piciture - if someone were to make a long request and someone who is inexperienced were to see the request prior to anyone giving any kind of warning then that person will be able to scam from that inexperienced person.

There are sometimes when I somewhat suspect that someone is making stupid loan requests so they are able to make a bunch of useless posts with their accounts with a paid signature as the number of useless posts (with paid signatures) in threads requesting loans that will never get filled is ridiculous

The thing we can do with these newbie is to not allow them to have access on the lending section or even in the marketplace yet until they can reach jr. member or maybe eve better a member account. Banning each newbies that requests loan will take much effort than preventing them. Wink

I understand there are to much request from account who just created. Maybe good solution if they made that part of the forum only visible if you fit the standards.  Will be much lesser  request for loan.

Question has been answered and if you try to search further this question has been raised before on a different thread and the replies are same, newbies can post a loan request with a valid collateral. Let us not judge them that they will use their newbie forum account as collateral. You can lock teh thread now.

What mean? If some one with high trust or ranking decide to scam Cheesy also a newbie can ask a loan without collateral?
I think that a collateral is a must in every loan transaction, even if "hero" or legendary ranking...
Some times ago I see a "hero" ask for 11 btc .... with collateral = none.
No one give him the loan!
Simply!

No, i don't think so. If someone would scamm you, he could be a brand new as a Legendary. I take two Neg trust for asking for loan in my first post (and i offer a sort of collateral yoo). A today i'm here, and two days ago i had my first loan  and repaid it.

Also in your third request you forget to add a valid collateral.

shorena told you!
And not have any value if you have repaid another one.... you can scam the same and without a collateral and 0 reputation Smiley

There are a lot of High ranked Member with defaulted Loan or other scamm accusation.

I think this would be a good idea. The loan potential of a Newbie is really rock bottom. Most newbies don't get a loan, although most loan requests are from newbies. Most are just ridiculous loans w/out collateral and any rep whatsoever.

If someone really wants a loan, they can wait three weeks and have a little more trustability.

I think that a newbie can ask a loan, with the right collateral.
It sounds really strange when some one come here and the first topic open, is about a loan request!
They don't know anything about btc and world around this coin, and first action is asking a loan?
I think this type of scammer are pretty stupid, and no one will give a loan, also "experienced" user give a negative trust and all users are informed promptly.

Well Im disagree with this.

We all don't know the capability of Newbies rank here. Newbies can't be considered as newbies by their forum rank here.

There's no problem if they can show some valid collateral or any factors that lenders requested to get their loans.

I think newbies should be allowed to request loans if they provide collateral. I know a lot of newbies don't, then they won't get a loan. It's up to the lenders to accept newbie loans, not the forum to ban newbie loans. The forum has a policy of not intervening with potential scams, such a hyip and ponzi, they certainly would ban small time newbie accounts for requesting loans.

This is a bad idea. Newbie does not automatically mean scammer. What if the newbie has collateral for the loan? Far from everyone has it, but some newbies actually do.

This isn't a perfect idea, some newbies do have valid collateral, not that I have seen that a lot. There are non newbie members requesting ridiculous loans without collateral too. If you ignore newbies who create loan request here without collateral, they will eventually go away. This has been discussed before: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/lending-forum-posting-restriction-implementation-881100.

I can definitely see your collateral in your first loan thread./s

What you offered wasn't valid or is non existent, there was a higher chance of you running away than repaying it.
