I was going to bed when I remembered that I had left the light in the garage on. Was half way out the door when I saw that there were some guys carrying stuff out and loading their van.
I called the police and asked them to send a unit.
But was told that no units were available, but I should lock all the doors and they would send someone soon.
Ok I said and hung up. Two minutes later I called again and told them  "I called earlier and asked you to send a car because there are thieves in my garage. But it´s no hurry now because I went and shot the thieves, all six of them "
Within three minutes, six police cars, a helicopter, a fire truck and three ambulances arrived.
The thieves were arrested and one policeman came to me and said: "Didn´t you say that you shot those guys. You could land in trouble for misleading the police." I replied, "Didn´t you say that no units were available?"

Funny that the guy who says that the people should not have guns is the most protected man in the world, with hundreds of heavily armed men dedicated to his own unique protection, and hundreds of thousands of soldiers with the best guns available under his direct command.

If President Obama needs a shocking gun statistic to add to his State of the Union address Tuesday night, he can point out that 100 people have been shot in Chicago in the first 10 days of the new year. If you can call it good news, only 20 percent or so of those shootings proved fatal.

It wouldn’t be the first time Obama has acknowledged the gun violence in Chicago. In his January 5 address to the nation on his executive actions on guns, just after he wiped a tear from his cheek for the children of Sandy Hook to the sound of 1,000 camera lenses, he noted that, “by the way, it happens on the streets of Chicago every day.” We haven’t noticed him tear up yet, though. Maybe he’s just relieved to live “in a reasonably good neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago” that isn’t so dangerous.

And so folks will go to a gun show and purchase a whole bunch of firearms, put them in a van, drive up into Mike Pfleger’s neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago, where his parish is, open up the trunk, and those things are for sale.

“Now, technically, you could say those folks bought them illegally,” the president confirmed.

The 1033 Program was created by the National Defense Authorization Act of Fiscal Year 1997 as part of the U.S. Government's Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services (DLA) to transfer excess military equipment to civilian law enforcement agencies. As of 2014, 8,000 local law enforcement agencies participated in the reutilization program that has transferred $5.1 billion in military hardware from the Department of Defense to local American law enforcement agencies since 1997.[1] According to the DLA, material worth $449 million was transferred in 2013 alone. The most commonly obtained item from the 1033 program is ammunition. Some of the other most commonly requested items include cold weather clothing, sand bags, medical supplies, sleeping bags, flashlights and electrical wiring. Grenade launchers and vehicles such as aircraft, watercraft and armored vehicles have also been obtained.

CHAFFETZ: About 122,000 over the last 10 years or so, roughly. 9,500 were revoked by the State Department because of terrorist ties.

SUSTEREN: Where are those 9,500?

CHAFFETZ: I asked them that! I said, “Can you identify them? Where are they?” They haven’t a clue, Greta. And this is where we should be focusing our law enforcement effort. I mean, think about it. They have a visa from the State Department, State Department says, “Oh we better revoke that because of terrorist ties,” but they don’t go get them! They don’t send out a dragnet and deport these people!

He would also scrutinize the “rigorous vetting process” Obama touted for each immigrant and refugee.

CHAFFETZ: We had last year 51,000 people step foot in the United States, claim asylum and there are 40 people at Homeland Security - they have 250,000 employees - only 40 of them actually vet those 50,000 and most of them do it on the telephone. There’s no way! And they’re not looking at their social media.

And as for terrorists buying guns, people on no-fly list - which presumably means that the government considers them a threat - can walk into a store and buy a gun. That´s right, they´re too dangerous to board a plane but they can buy guns down on the ground and run around with them. Why would you trust the government?

Im not sure why americans get so defensive when any kind of gun control gets mentioned, Im pretty sure at the moment in some states suspected terrorists can freely obtain firearms legally. Should things like this be sorted to make the place safer for everyone. I know its far too late for any serious gun control in america since the place is over run with them.

They get so defensive because most of them distrust the government. And although there seems to be a general consensus around the world that they are the dumbest fucks on the face of the earth, they are at least smart enough to realize that just because politicians say this and that doesn´t necessarily guarantee that they mean it, They may even be masking some dubious motives.

And that is actually plenty smart in my book.

But there are over 300 million guns in probably 70 million locations. Or maybe it´s even more. To confiscate even a fraction would be a huge operation. They must count on people turning in the weapons en masse voluntarily.

And since they are so concerned about public safety what are they going to confiscate next? People are unlikely to stop killing each other and themselves and have accidents involving dangerous things just because the guns are gone. Maybe murder by automobile will skyrocket.

I think Obama is up against a losing cause.
There is too much opposition to gun "reform" for it to be pushed through.

When government comes for your guns, they will do it by sending in a dozen SWAT to one average gun citizen.

We need to form loosely held neighborhood gun groups that will support each other when the gun grabbers come.

Regarding America, here is the common sense approach for a self governing (as opposed to a government governing) people.

When you consider the Preamble words, "... secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity ..." any government agent or official that does anything against out liberty as expressed in numbers 1 thru 4 of the definition of liberty, is acting outside his governmental capacity.

As long as I do not take the liberty from someone else, nobody has the right to take my liberty from me. As long as I am not harming and have not harmed anyone with loaded guns, anybody that takes my guns from me is acting against my liberty. Such a person is acting criminally. This person should be tried and punished... along with being made to return my property to me, and reimburse me for the time that he didn't let me enjoy my property.

If you want to accept what gun grabbers are doing, go ahead. Otherwise prosecute them. Not an issue... except that they have freedom of speech like all the rest of us.

Thursday morning feel good stories


In Las Vegas, Nevada, Joey Imerti met an intruder breaking into his house at the window the criminal was using and fired two shots at the crook until his rifle misfired and the bad guy ran off.

In Little Rock, Arkansas a homeowner was injured when his wife struggled with intruders into their home. The homeowner was able to return fire and struck the crook in the chest twice, and in the legs. Both were treated for their non-life-threatening injuries.

In Alton, Illinois, an armed intruder, wearing body armor, shot himself in the hand when he got in a struggle with the resident. He was arrested for being a felon with a handgun.

Bobo sends us a link to the story of a 65-year-old woman in Manchester, New Hampshire who shot a 23-year-old who assaulted her outside her home. She says that she has owned the gun for ten years and this is the first time that she had to protect herself with it. The criminal was arraigned from his hospital bed.

UpNorth sends a link to a story which happened in Detroit, Michigan where a fellow on the street announced that he was sticking up a concealed weapon carrier, and the licensed gun owner refused to submit and sent the criminal to the hospital in critical condition.

David sends us a link to a story in Houston, Texas in which car salesman Jose Martinez was kidnapped and stuffed in the trunk of the car in which he was accompanying a person he thought was going for a test drive. Jose pulled the trunk escape latch and threw himself to the pavement. The pair of thieves went back to get him when one of them dropped his gun. Jose retrieved the firearm and shot one of the thieves. They unassed the AO and there’s no word on the condition of the target.
