Until which block height can we run the old wallet?

Hi, we will need to amend the code, Midnightminer is aware of this but is currently at work. The old wallet is still compatible as this was a core update.

Are you going to add Treasury Funds like Dash? Something like 10%?

Thanks for the question.

This is something that we have not fully explored. We have discussed self funding models, which I will not go into much detail yet, until we have confirmed.

What are your thoughts on this method of self funding?

I don't think self funding is good for long term. I personally think something like Dash's Treasury Funds is a must have for long term mainstream adoption.

Hi I was referring to Dash's self funding model, because that is what Treasury Funds are:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dash_(cryptocurrency)

Governance and funding
Dash is the first decentralized autonomous organization powered by a Sybil proof decentralized governance and funding system.[20] Decentralized Governance by Blockchain (DGBB), often referred to simply as the "treasury system" is a means of coming to consensus on proposed network changes and funding development of the Dash ecosystem. Ten percent of the block rewards go to this "treasury" in order to pay for projects that benefit Dash. Funding from the treasury system has been used to hire additional developers and other employees, to fund attendance at conferences, and to fund integrations with major exchanges and API providers.
Each masternode operator receives one vote. Proposals are eligible for funding according to the following formula: (YES VOTES - NO VOTES) > (TOTAL NUMBER OF MASTERNODES * 0.1). If there are more proposals that meet that criteria than there are budget funds for the month, then the proposals with the highest number of net votes will be paid. Community interaction with proposal submitters is done through the dash.org forums, or through community-driven websites, like DashWhale.[21] These websites allow proposal submitters to provide multiple drafts, then lobby for community support before finally submitting their project to the network for a vote. After the submitter has enough support, the network will automatically pay out the required funds in the next super block, which happens monthly.
The funding system has seen revenue growth. In September 2015, the treasury system provided $14,000 in funding per month. Due to increases in the value of Dash, as of March 2017 the treasury system provides over $500,000 per month in funding.[22] The treasury system has created a positive feedback loop, whereby additional development increases the value of Dash, which increases the amount of funding provided by the budget system.

CrowdFunding or ICO for Bata Barter Platform

Where do we vote on this?

There's a poll at the top of the thread. Idk if a vote will be taken in another format as well since anybody can vote here.

The BTA community members in Slack are voting on whether to have a  self - moderated forum on Bitcointalk.

I am not voting on the matter, as it is the community's decision.

So far we have a number of trolls on the forum, who claim they are saviours and trying to inform the community on how bad I am.

The claims so far have been:

1/ I held too many coins
2/ I dump coins
3/ I am a scammer (not scamer)
4/ I own all the coins on the exchanges

What will the next claim be?

For those posting rubbish, I have put you on ignore. People can see through your unsubstantiated claims.

BTA must really be making someone or some people very nervous, because they are going to a lot of trouble to keep coming here and posting.

Yeah I'm having trouble following this and seeing how this  shows BTA is in anyway a scam or the dev is in anyway a scammer.

Just a quick update.

Source code commit had a few conflicts, so I just waiting for them to be amended before merging on Github. So we a little off schedule, but it won't be long now.

Once completed, I will advise the exchanges so they can update their exchange wallets.

Were is the wallet update !!

Working on it and testing it as I type this.

What is the point of a wallet update any way !! no POW/POS in new wallet ? mite as well stay with original wallet ? yes/no ?

Hi the point of the wallet update is to update the source code which:

Allows us to update to POS/POW (and future updates) without a fork.
Faster wallet sync etc.

I don't know, I follow the links and references of the 'proof' and it seems to be the same person ranting about some injustice and a connection of three people...

I do not see proof of the connection of these people.  Between call-signs and real names it is all a guess.

And all of this occurred in a GAME!  Seriously!

Anyway, I got bored and went back to meaningful work at hand.
More work on the future of Bata!

Exactly my thoughts...someone with real proof should be able to provide it in a clear and understandable manner. Been reading a bit and it just looks silly and childish..sad to see that some ppl have nothing better to do with their lives. To the trolls: Grow up, make yourself useful and stop chasing ghosts. We only want the FACTS!
I too am interested in how much a masternode will earn, if this has been decided on yet.

We announced a plan to implement Masternodes and the amount to activate a Masternode, as a fair notice to all those interested in Bata, to have the equal chance to collect enough funds to prepare for the furture release that will activate Masternodes.

Implementing Masternodes properly and fairly, means adjustments to the economics and rewards for the coin ecosystem.  We plan not to suddenly implement changes in wallet releases to give hidden advantages to others.  This is still a community driven project (there is no development fund, no ICO, or reward tax on PoW rewards), so your input does count.  The value of this coin is driven by the community response to the value of the development being built for this coin.  This also means, the development team is investing in the development before the rewards are realized.  So, there is a slower and cautious development happening as we are not spending other peoples money, but our own.

A little reminder on what is really happening behind the development scenes.
