thank you for your open minded kind of thinking.

but at the end my opinion is irrelevant, because someone else makes the money and someone else gets a new opponent

and why are these sticks so successfull ?

Because people don't care.

People mostly buy the cheapest shit and don't care about details than the price.

I guess you have low standards when you are defending this ttbit guy.

 low standards  ->  are relative

cheap shit ?  do you have test one of these ttbit miners ?

The point that is being made is that if you support manufacturers like ttbit you are only encouraging more companies like this which will discourage innovative r&d from companies to progress miners if they know they are only going to get ripped off.  In other words dont buy knockoffs

our whole world is based on copy and evolution
 Cool

It's TRUE and I have no problem paying a little more to the person/company that made the original concept.  Evolution is one thing, but just straight copying is lazy dont you think.  It actually hinders progression since the good companies get discouraged from progressing themselves.

excuse me. I have to contradict. The good companies have to respond to these challenges  and improve their products. Sometimes it is necessary to get an impulse to react and adapt to new situations. then we will see development. the customer will get benefits.

That's one train of thought, or for technology that's easy to duplicate the company with the talent sometimes focuses on other products because the profitability of something isnt there because of the knockoffs.  Good companies go out of business all the time because of these knockoffs.  2 different trains of thought but both correct.

Yeah it is easy if you are located in China or other cheap manufacturing cost country and you copy design from the competitor. Which is what ttbit has done with their stick. The R&D costs are close to none.

I have zero respect for manufacturers like ttbit.

agreed 1000%

any news/experiences about ttbit scrypt miners ?

Why don't you just buy the original product from Futurebit ?

i have 3x of futurebit and 1x of bitshopper (licensed from futurebit).
But how can the high price of the futurebit miner stick be explained?
TT-Bit showes that is possible to build the miner stick cheaper.

i personally believe those designs should be open source anyways. After what many mining companies have done to maximize their profits at the expense of the miner.. i dont really see it as stealing. Did they make their own actual boards? The case appears to be yes.. and this is likely to be the same company/families sharing the plans and making a new company. Its not exactly secret technology by any means.

it is not the same people - the guy who developed them is the one that originally stated they stole his programming, his design and basically copy/pasted his sale thread - the original poster was banned from the forums because of the plagiarism even.

This is all very interesting.. so they stole the method to fabricate the chips? Or they actually stole the microchips? Im very confused about how they went about doing that.

they took one of his units, tore it apart and reverse engineered it basically - it is all explained if you read this thread from the start. Smiley

Excuse my ignorance but don’t asic chips have to be fabricated in big factories?

the chip yes - but the rest of it - because there is more than just an asic chip here - has to also be engineered/fabricated/made/put together - they did a copy of it --- did not create/make their own in other words. then their for sale post was just a straight copy/paste of his.

You're really missing all the points made clear here.
I guess you don't have the knowledge to know what we mean.

And I can't believe you're actually defending the ttbit.
