This is gonna crash soo fast. I'm gonna go dump my 50k BQC on bter.com right now Tongue
If you do it I might actually buy some lol.

But does anybody have any idea how to make this code from networks.py work?

    bbqcoin=math.Object(
        PARENT=networks.nets['bbqcoin'],
        SHARE_PERIOD=30, # seconds
        CHAIN_LENGTH=60*60//10, # shares
        REAL_CHAIN_LENGTH=60*60//10, # shares
        TARGET_LOOKBEHIND=200, # shares
        SPREAD=120, # blocks
        IDENTIFIER='e037d5b8c6923410'.decode('hex'),
        PREFIX='7208c1a53ef629b0'.decode('hex'),
        P2P_PORT=59333,
        MIN_TARGET=0,
        MAX_TARGET=2**256//2**20 - 1,
        PERSIST=False,
        WORKER_PORT=59332,
        BOOTSTRAP_ADDRS='alduin.cubox.me 174.58.242.26'.split(' '),
        ANNOUNCE_CHANNEL='#p2pool-alt',
        VERSION_CHECK=lambda v: True,

Far as I can tell the identifier and prefix are wrong

Check bbqcoin.org.

The best pool at the moment is linked there.

P2Pool is being worked on and I might post a bounty for one.
I was working on it and so was blastbob but neither of us could figure out the address prefix thing and he basically gave up on it to work on other stuff.  We need more serious support from the creator of BBQCoin, and more than that we need an ecosystem where someone opens up a store that takes bbqcoins.

Why are a lot of people using the client testnet port?

Are you talking to me? I downloaded the wallet from this link https://www.dropbox.com/s/qulqoij6o16l7uq/BBQcoin.org%20Windows%20Client.zip and that's what happened with the client not connecting to the network...  Roll Eyes

BBQcoin.org has had a redesign, if you cannot access it or see the changes please clear your browser cache or flush the dns.

Cheers.

IRC server is probably down again.

This coin, like many others, needs some "stable nodes" whose IP addresses can be coded into it as fallback IP addresses and some hostnames that can be coded into it then have their IPs changed to point at stable nodes any time the node they point at ceases to be a stable node.

Meanwhile you need the IP of a node that has its incoming port open, to add on commandline or in config file using addnode=##.##.##.##

-MarkM-

Does anyone have a node that I can use?
62.163.9.155:19323
217.22.80.138:19323
217.122.176.76:19323
78.52.33.95:53565
58.60.1.24:61900

and twenty more connected to me.

Thanks man, It's connecting now Smiley

In DeVCoin, we reward admins for running stable DeVCoin nodes.

Other coins lack reward structure thus have tended to lose their originally coded in expected to be 24/7/365.25 nodes over the years.

So let me get this straight. It's a coin with no compiled windows wallet that works, no live github repo and somehow.. it's traded? 'Ok' seems brilliant.
If I am wrong, show me a working wallet-QT.

This one works https://www.dropbox.com/s/qulqoij6o16l7uq/BBQcoin.org%20Windows%20Client.zip. It's listed on http://bbqcoin.org and is the one that I use.

It doesn't it won't connect to  the network, from log this one repeats forever and ever:

connection timeout
trying connection 192.95.27.104:19323 lastseen=76.3hrs

Wallet is non-functional, 2 pools (one does not pay out, one is down) and all the early miners are selling their coins on the forum. Yeah, this one I can be without.

Jesus please markm please send me my coins now lol. Omg I'll cry and die if I get scammed 3 times in a row especially after THIS news!

edit: Just being over dramatic.. but yeah lol No offense markm cuz I know i was a bitch about taking so long to send my coins.

Tried to nap, couldn't, came back to find 6 confirmations already in place.

Ha 6 nice co-incidence, that is the normal recommended wait for bitcoins, those BBQcoins fast confirms must have spoiled you hahahah. Smiley

-MarkM-

EDIT: I see an exchange opened at last, I hope they are selling there for more than you just paid.
