Oh so %10 of what I was looking for Cheesy Ok even tough I just started , do you guys think in short-term selling it as soon as you have it sounds better or should I keep mining and the price will eventually go higher or plummet to earth in the end?

I basically mean should I sell it the moment I reach 1000 bbqcoins , or should I mine for a month or so and sell it when its much higher than 1000?

I did not mean I have that kind of offer Cheesy I meant will people buy bbqcoins for that Cheesy What is a good price so I can sell my bbqcoins Cheesy Do you think 1000bbqcoins=1btc is a good deal for both sides not just mine Cheesy I want to mine and sell bbqcoins , I wont mine bbqcoins forever , just until I reach 1000bbqcoins , then I will sell them and check if its worth mining bbqcoins or should I go for btc mining directly after that.

So basically I am asking if I had 1000 bbqcoins how much would you guys pay for it in btc Cheesy

BBQCoins are typically going for 10000=1btc.

I have send the bbqcoins to captshadd for that amount and I want to ask , this time I did not care how much I get I just wanted to check the waters for the first time . When I go all in I want to learn is there a place I can check what is a good healthy btc/bbqcoin price?

For now it looks like 1000 bbqcoins=1btc , is that a good deal?

They are no where near worth that,  but ok.. if you say so.  I'm trying to figure out who is really interested in buying BQC?

Well I have seen people here opening topics and asking for 1 btc for xxxx amount of bbqcoins and all , I already read that . Thats why I am confused . If we are not going to trade or sell , what are those people doing?

Also , I want to try to sell 20 bbqcoins now for ANY price you would like (just to make sure if I can really give and/or receive) so the lowest of lowest offers are just fine . Honestly I am willing to sell for 1 satoshi just to say that I did Cheesy

Don't worry, we are getting an exchange soon. Maybe I should set up a spreadsheet exchange like we see with Feathercoin and ChinaCoin.

Anyone interested in that? If you are would you rather BQC/BTC or BQC/LTC?

Can someone please explain to me where can I sell my bbqcoins and how? I make about 150-200 bbqcoins per day and I want to sell them but I dont know how to sell them at where.

From page 1, post 1

Hi !

After some problems, and a few time to test it, I'm happy to announce BBQCoin  Wink

This new *coin is not made for be traded, sell/buy. It's just for "fun". I have spent too much time to share it only with my friends, so i'm saying here his existance Smiley
The main website will be on bbqco.in (not yet done) We will have an abe explorer too abe.bbqco.in is now opened, thanks to Someguy and D34TH, and if I have time, I will open a PPLNS pool Smiley (Merged mining ?)

New updates on this topic soon Cheesy

Get source on http://github.com/Cubox-/BBQCoin/
For compiled versions, just wait for users to make them, and send it to me.

We just got an IRC chan for experimenting and status about building, #bbqcoin on freenode Cheesy
A pool will be opened soon.

From as far back as I can remember the Windows QT client has always had the LTC logo and LTC splash screen, myself, Figroll and Splik came together and sorted it, to give BBQcoin its own identity and look.

Back then nobody could be bother with the coin to even run a website so I created one at bbqcoin.org of which I pay for out of my own pocket to support the BQC community and that is what the bbqcoin.org team are doing.

Mmmm aren't graphics part of what my last updated included?

I vaguely remember something about graphics.

Yeah, see https://github.com/knotwork/bbqcoin/tree/master/src

Too many forks!

Seems like you simply failed to re-base your code from whoozit's repo before preparing a pull-request for him to pull.

Had you re-based you would have found he already had those fixes, maybe?

Though maybe not, as I am not sure if he did actually clone my repo after those fixes or before. Maybe he cloned it before then didn't clone or pull again after the fixes, even though he knew about the fixes (I think he did anyway).

I guess the problem's root cause is he long ago deleted his original repository, then recently cloned mine causing confusion.

this has already been fixed long ago:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.1552818
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.1570874 (look at the 2 next posts of markm)

he incorectly used the ProofOfWork hashes as checkpoints, but on litecoin (since bbqcoind is a litecoin fork) and i took some time until he saw that its wrong (had to post it server times tough...). afterwards he fixed it and released new tarballs.

Well the latest fork I was told to work on with updated graphics must have been forked from before he fixed it because it was broken before i just fixed it. So the binaries I posted are functional with the newer graphics

repaired? there was no need to fix anything. mark fixed his checkpoints in some days and since then no problems exist.

You are mistaken. We may be talking about two different forks of the same code though. The checkpoints applied for block 86425 was 00000b64041067a9cc8ad4b84e6a638ced0513319724bae7ceacbaf97380b4ae and this was the block that was hanging on the latest code when compiled. As can be seen from a search on http://bbqabe.rainbowdashh.tk/search?q=86425 for block 86425, the hash is 5bb676c3ea2d9cdc2589e7fa53874c425317aa9dadf0ae503fb7cf804cab9762.

Correcting this, fixing the block 303403 checkpoint and adding a checkpoint for 350000 upon compiling the client works as expected. I was able to transfer coins in and out of it in my testing and now released the latest.

My changes can be seen here https://github.com/overware/BBQCoin/commit/7fc723d451755a4bb18337546653d88a385f7f43
