I've gone back to mining and switched to cgminer and finding things working a lot better. Previously I was on guiminer and getting more stales then I would of liked.

are you solo mining or using a pool? if so, which pool? Smiley

Solo mining atm using a 7850

We have a working pool now at http://bbqcoin.megapool.co/

Tested and working.

Example config:

Code:
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o http://bbqcoin.megapool.co:6666 -u SetUpaWorkerName -p x --intensity 12 --worksize 256 --thread-concurrency 8192 -g 2

I am not getting any confirmed rewards in bbqcoin.MegaPool.co even after several blocks have confirmed. Whats up with this? I see miners are dropping like flies from the pool.. Scam???

Edit: 6:44pm I have now got a confirmed amount for 18 shares. It seems to me that the difficulty is too high on this pool for smaller hashrates. It should be adjusted.

I'm not 100% if it is my set up or how the pool pays out and the luck element too. I mined for 11 hours and got 100 bqc... hoping someone with further knowledge could explain this to me.

Overall I am very happy with BQC but for now I will continue to Solo mine, I really like the feel behind the coin and it's good to see pools popping up.

How do you mine this? I tried cgminer and changed the server from the LTC pool to the BBQ megapool and cgminer hangs...  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

If an exchange doesn't come soon, this coin will die...

It doesn't even need to be a major exchange imo... something like this would work fine for now:
http://exchange.bytecoin.in/

I've made some trades there and had no problems.

Can someone post the IP:port of a permanent BQC node?
for what?

I am interested in this too.
same question for you in this case Wink

No I mean I am interested in his answer to your question, not the node one.

Hey thanks for the pool! As I think this is the only pool atm, maybee we should set a link on bbqcoin.org?

There is one in the mining section in the bounty thread
