BCC is NOT Bitcoin Cash!

Btc cash will be "BCH":
https://www.bitfinex.com/posts/212

I was mistakenly understand before that BCC = Bitcoin cash. But realizing that there's already BCC = Bitconnect. And we should now change our address with bitcoin abc/bitcoin cash as BCH. I can't understand where did they got the "H"?
so do I as also waiting for bcc and like you mention its already active inside trex because bitconnect was there now we will use bch instead as the bitcoin cash to process the trade its a free money for those who got some good amount of btc inside your trex wallet.

And guess what the price of BCH now is very good. People seems to be happy on earning free cash with BCH and the supply of it is lesser than bitcoin. Btc still not reaching the 21 M supply limit and yet the price is still good.

This is  so stupid with the inconsistency of naming it BCC or BCH and confusing people. There had already been a BCC on the market - BitConnect - and the idiots running Bcash thought it would be a good idea to confuse people by naming it the exact same, and then switching it a few days before launch! Idiots. Deserves to fail.

The BCC on Bitfinex is a 'chain split token'...

https://www.bitfinex.com/posts/195

Somehow it's just spiked to nearly $4k!

https://cryptowat.ch/bitfinex/bccusd

Can't say that I really understand how it works to be honest.
that happens when people spreading FUD that BCC on finex is Bitcoin Cash... (and then people saw it is worth 2900$ while they expected 100$, so they thoght it might not be that bad -> buy)

Haha! I knew this was bound to happen when they chose to use BCC. Confused newbies, confused veterans and careless traders are bound to mistake coins like BitConnect. The other BCCs must be enjoying some unintended volume.

that sounds bad

but actually what he is talking about cannot happen i guess because bitfinex writes:
Quote
Due to the net amount of BTC committed in margin positions at the time of the fork, the above methodology may result in Bitfinex seeing a surplus or deficit of BCH. As such, we will be resolving this discrepancy in the form of a socialized distribution coefficient. For example, currently, there are more longs than shorts on the platform, causing a distribution coefficient of ~1.091 (Meaning that for each qualifying BTC a user will receive 1.091 BCH). The actual coefficient will be calculated at the moment of the distribution. Please note that if there are more shorts than longs at the fork event, this coefficient will be less than one. This coefficient can be roughly computed from publicly available information from our API (longs & shorts) and the Blockchain (cold storage).

Yea, the author conveniently left out the distribution coefficient.

We need decentralized exchanges, those corrupted exchanges can issue their own tokens and sell it to you for your real money. And if they are from the third world countries you can kiss your money for goodbye. We have already bunch of good projects why we don't use them? After BTC-e i just don't have confidence in any of them.  Also BCC is not big deal for me so i will wait it on Trex.

Crypto Currencies and exchanges are separate entities. Thats why an exchange can run a fractional reserve.
Its just a website and a database, they can trade anything they want, seed the order book with anything they want.

The Crypto Currency is only important when someone wants to deposit/withdraw, this is when that website & database actually connects to the cryptocurrency blockchain and instructs an movement of coins, until then its just virtual virtual currency Smiley

If deposits/withdrawals are locked, then the only real connection between what you see on  the screen and what happens on a blockchain is in your mind.

BCC on Bitfinex is BITCOIN CORE
And Bitconnect on coinexchange.io

And your point is? Undecided

This alt coin naming format was rushed out the door and not thought out very well. Roll Eyes

OP is talking about Bitfinex, so GTFO out of here with coinexchange.io
Either way, anything that isn't called BTC is an impostor and should be avoided.
These exchanges are not abiding by the same standard naming convention when it comes to this stupid alt coin. Roll Eyes

So just queue it up to that. Tongue

I see BCC on Bitfinex is already trading and there are trades executed.
How is that possible? I thought BCC is available from tomorrow?

How do people get BCC on Bitfinex to trade them there?

1. Follw these steps to get fee BCC
2. You need to copy of you wallet file or privatekey of your BTC addy
4. BCC will release new wallets
5. If you import your private key into BCC then you will get same amount of BCC
6. before importing you can move your BTC into another addy also
5. If you import your private key into BCC WALLET*** then you will get same amount of BCC
So the entire process is not as automatic that wallet providers are making it look to everyone who holds their btc with them.
Hmm. Sounds too difficult for the normal person who just has an iphone wallet to do their purchases with.
To copy private keys and such things like this will baffle these type of people and I am beginning to think..
that is what the creators of Bitcoincash is counting on! Embarrassed
So to confuse the masses and not having them redeem their so called "Free coins!". Roll Eyes

Based on this, this is the process I would appreciate the time to do this because I want to know whether its going to be after the fork or before the fork considering someone can buy more bitcoin after the coin before importing it, in other to get more BCC. And also what if one imports, and the fork didn't eventually happen, what will happen to the keys imported?

Yup, they have abbreviated Bitcoin Cash as BCH and not BCC. The trading pair of BCC/BTC is most probably BitConnect coin.
