We are already contacted BCN developers.

So basically, BCN will never be traded on comkort.

I don't think Honeypot or whatever its called has enough going for it over BMR to succeed. BMR at least had the BCN pre-mine to push off against. Later clones don't.

BCN might still succeed on the basis of being first and having a larger network. BMR might make it on the basis of not having a premine. Beyond that I don't see it.

The 10% tax is a mistake. Gives people yet one more reason to just stick with BCN or BMR.

We gonna have new fork: HoneyPenny https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bbr-boolberry-privacy-and-security-guaranteed-since-2014-577267

I'm more and more inclined to think that these forks are made by Bytecoin/CN folks, looks like somebody gave them task to re-start BCN with fairer distribution. BCN has basically gigantic premine, it doesn't matter if it was intentional or not, so it's not a surprise they are trying to fix it by releasing new currency. However they are doing it wrong with rushed releases like these, no logos, no promotion outside Bitcointalk and vague ANN posts comparing new coins with BCN in situation most people have no idea what BCN is...

This one's devs refuses to state who they are but I don't think the other fork's dev (thankful_for_today) is connected to BCN or CN. He was here figuring things out with the rest of the folk.

I agree that the announcements need to be more informative.

Guys I have a problem. Currently all my BCNs are on minergate,so I have tried to sync my wallet and when I type refresh it says something like refresh failed, deamon is busy..Please try again later. How can I fix this? Thanks

Sounds like you're in the process of downloading the blockchain. How long has it been running?
yes that sounds like it is still busy downloading blockchain and syncing, it takes quite a while.

Stand on the shoulders of giants
Can I give a suggestion as market strategy ?

Build a bytecoin live linux distro ... like Amnesic, Incogmico, Tails etc.. ( check out .. http://www.privacylover.com/anonymous-live-cd-list/ ) put all .onion cool staff on it also miners, deepmarket, irc, otp, etc... and upload it to distrowatch Wink and bytecoin or any other cryptonote based will rocket to the moon Wink

Hm, did you see that goin2mars deleted all messages in this thread? He wrote actively… I don’t understand what it might mean.
I don’t believe in “Cicada” but goin2mars was admitted to the BCN-community maybe? He received PM with TOR-address also. It seems very strange for me.

Dissapiarence of community members is something new. I believe I never heard of anybody who was kindapped for his believes in crypto.  Tongue

Now goin2mars is true anonymous and don't speak about "the Club" Grin Grin Grin

GUI is more important I'd say. OSX is uncommon, particularly for mining machines. On the other hand, command line presents a large psychological barrier for many even when simple step-by-step instructions are given. But, yes, there needs to be an OSX binary for CryptoNote soon. The BCN website said they'd be coming but who knows what their time frame is? I hope someone on this forum is working on it.

The best possible outcome is OSX client with GUI lol. Grin

Also, I wonder how Bytecoin daemon will be delivered to OSX. .dmg file or terminal-linux-like-making.
Bytecoin really needs some simplicity atm - the easier - the better.

How to continue with solo mining on same machine after OS reinstall?
i'm getting this error: failed to load wallet: failed to read file "xeon1.bin"

So you backed up your wallet .bin and .bin.keys files, copied them to the new install, and then got this error?

Yeah, but I changed OS. It looks like Windows and Linux wallets files aren't compatible.

Wow, that's huge. Can anyone else test and confirm?

BTW, How's it going with performance under Windows/Linux? On same machine (Xeon E3-1245 v3) I got two totaly different numbers: 7.5 in Windows 7 and 14.5 in Lubuntu. But so far Linux version is giving me same amount of blocks as Windows one.

Isn't that number in Lunux just an error or something like that?

Sounds like a good question for the CryptoNote forums but 14.5 H/s sounds high for a 4-core CPU.

Perhaps more important that a GUI is source code that compiles on OSX...

I find it difficult to support a clone of Bytecoin that didn't even build a GUI wallet program to release it.
Anyone want to do it better?  PM me.

It will have a GUI wallet, probably sooner than another clone. However, good luck with your clone. Such is the nature of the altcoin clown show. Wink
