Sorry, but due to past behaviour -  rpietila or Monero devs are not permitted to post on this thread

Lol why? Monero devs are all so nice about all altcoins.

Monero  Cool

You see, bitcointalk forum community is pain in the ass.

They got really upset having to taste their own medicine!  Grin

I think hitbtc is manipulating the price of BCN and XMR i am trying to buy some and wen i put a buy order immediately some one puts one bigger above me if i cancel the order the other disappears immediately.

BCN devs are not around to answer any question of the community, so we feel a little helpless.

A good place for any help or technical discussions is this thread here;

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bcn-bytecoin-technical-discussion-718834

If you post to the thread don't be surprised if your question gets swamped by the Monero goons - so you might want to message the OP DSTRANGE directly. He is the 'customer contact' for BCN devs and will rapidly respond to any suggestion, query or problem.

Or you could post here if it's not too technical!  Cheesy

To the topic.
I think bcn has multi signatures so probably they can upgrade easily the code, but monero has a bigger community, and they respond and clarify any question to the new users.

They could make a forum to the community, dsh has one forum , monero has a forum, where is bcn forum?

Thanks

You can tell how desperate these people are when they spend the last 24 posts in their self moderated Monero speculation on totally off-topic spamming against Bytecoin!
This thread documents how the Monero pumpers operated;
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/unveiling-the-truth-over-the-major-monero-scam-755840

I noticed that, since this thread started several of the self-moderated Monero threads have been appearing on the front page. Most appear to be bumped by fatuous or inane one liners. I think that thread you quoted got it spot on.

Who are these Monero volume pumpers? Volume quadrupled since Bytecoin went above Monero. I can imagine that rpietila is crazy enough to throw 75BTC in a fit of rage because Bytecoin surpassed Monero's capitalisation - but surely (apart from the .1BTC tiddlers who are swept up in this 'Cult of Monero') there cannot be many more crazy whales?

DRK 'plans to' implement ring signatures, so it will finally have real privacy and possibly be able to catch up with Monero's advanced crypto technology.  But that will require a very hard fork.

I thought I heard something similar along those lines. I am guessing that would involve a major rewrite of the Bitcoin core. That is why I see more chance of a zerocash implementation if they provide a reference based on the Bitcoin core (How likely this is I don't know?)

Why do they need to 'catch up' to Monero - I guess you spent too much time in all those Monero self-moderated threads.

There should have been a thread like this for a long while.

Btw - what is happening with Darkcoin - I just changed one of my pots to DRK. I guess this thread is for me because I only own BCN and DRK. The website says it forked from BTC 0.9.3 but what further developments are planned?

can you provide a link?

You know Monero devs have been repeatedly attempting to jump on this thread with their aggressive fud!  Cheesy

They even have the nerve to get upset about the moderation when they have had many threads for many months churning over their self-moderated nonsense. They are a bit like a public park flasher who gets annoyed at another flasher (with a much bigger dick) entering their patch.

All I say is, 'What is good for the goose is also good for the gander'.

Anyway - back to the topic............  Grin

we can start discussing about bytecoin when you guys decide to burn the 80% hidden mine.

Yes, well it appears that Bytecoin went unnoticed by many until the BCT ANN thread. Not quite the same as a 'hidden' mine. You could say the same thing about Bitcoin.

if there is a chance for a second currency besides bitcoin it will not be a coin where almost all supply is hold by a group of 10-20 people.
I stay with my prediction that it will be monero

Where is your proof about the 10-20 people? How do you know that most of these coins are not lost?
There is another currency as you describe - DSH Dashcoin.

Monero will not recover. It is forever tainted by the deplorable and shady behavior of the bag-holders and devs on Bitcointalk.

Instead of burning the 80% invisimine, they should airdrop those pesky BCN to Hero members!   Grin

But yah, only Monero has the proven technology, Unique Selling Point, and critical community mass necessary to achieve parity with BTC (per coin, if not market cap).

Darkcoin is an unstable instamined shitcoin that relies on unproven CoinShuffle shell games and risky Ponziesque Masternodes.  Let's hear no more about it!

When did Monero "collapse?"  I didn't notice.  And OMG, have you seen how pushy the XMR bid wall is today?   Shocked

Cryptonote is already on ver 2.0 (kind of like Leonard Part 6, but with less icky Bill Cosby).

You are right about cryptonote 2 - should have referred to bytecoin. My bad.

Well, while Darkcoin currently lacks in technical features it still has a large market cap, volume and uptake. A fork is possible - especially if zerocash devs eventually release a reference coin based on Bitcoin core.

Two and a half dollars to 25 cents is a collapse in anyones book!
Yes - the usual suspects are being press-ganged into throwing more BTC away on Monero in a last desperate bid to achieve a dead cat bounce. This will be tough fight. Bytcoin have no progress whatsoever and Darcoin is far from anonymous.  But time will tell which will be better on the long run.

Well, Bytecoin currently has a better model for transaction privacy. Progress is steady - not of the bells and whistle variety. Darkcoin could always hard-fork - it's been done successfully in the past. I think the bigger the reach and uptake, the harder a fork becomes to implement successfully. I think this is why anonymous coins will eventually replace BTC, LTC, DOGE etc. and leaving the powers that be with something like Ripple.
