Halving is knocking the door and we are pretty close to the 630000 blocks and after that the reward will be halved. However, I'm sure that scammers will try to take advantage of this halving and try to create fake giveaway. Don't send any bitcoin if any giveaway asks. Stay safe.

If it sounds too good to be true, then might as well stay away from in from the onset. Also, just to be sure, do NOT send any money or info to anyone unless you have something officially confirmed from all channels (ie; telegram, twitter, facebook, IG giveaways).

We all need to be aware of Halving's case This time the scam will be more That's why it's better to stay away from these types of social media They use various strategies to scam and try to stay away from any new sites or links. No one will give you anything without interest That's why if a site gives something for free it's a whole new trap to scam.

It sound the same familiar to this video on Youtube, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xlzizwf5AHk.
Fake giveaways are always there when there is an event, even during the pandemic, there are tons of fake giveaway and charity.

So, that is our initiative to have research first before letting our money send to the fraudsters. When we talk giveaways there shouldn't money involve and we can get free. But remember that it merely happens that there are someone who gives free. Precautious at all times is the best weapon against the fraudsters.

There's a tons of them on youtube and in any social media platforms but I don't bother to look at them since I know what is the content behind on them since there's nothing we can get any benefit, And people should be precautious since free word is been abused by the scammer since they know many many people want to gain from that things.

There lots of scam always shows up , every time an event is going to happen, such as halving, the best way to keep your hands away from those scam is always look in the official websites, because it will give you all the information that is needed if there is such things like giveaways or not, ask everyone that you know who is trusted, before making a move , in such way we will lessen or be safe from scams.

It's a giveaway, are we meant to send instead of receiving bitcoins. What kind of giveaway requires participants to send coins?
Usually giveaways are free to join but scammers create fake giveaway where you are required to send X amount of BTC to receive X amount of BTC. These types of giveaway are fake. People should not make the mistake and send the BTC, that's what I'm saying.

That is very true, otherwise why bother giving and risking your BTC based on a promised giveaway like that?

For me, it's better to lose BTC when you trade rather than lose your BTC from a scam instead.

More importantly, you learn from your mistakes, but at least you can use that lesson to possibly not do the same mistake all over again when trading.

After the facebook and Youtube giveaways people have learned that if they want you to send coins to unlock your giveaways, you are dealing with scammers, halving is already over, but I have not seen a big giveaway in times of halving, everything went well and smooth but we must always watch for these kind of giveaways.
Same with me, my halving experience went well. Actually I'm not awared of these new modus at all and I can't help myself but to laugh about it lol Grin. Only fool will get baited on such scam but in all fairness fraudsters are getting more relevant and creative as time goes by huh. So we, or let's say the newbies, should be more careful.
Fraudsters are quite clever to use an alternative technique when someone had caught their awful acts so that people won't suspect it easily. Newbies will get tricked if they aren't well-informed on how the scammer performs its plans and if they get easily influenced by money. In that manner, people shouldn't be impressed by something that seem suspicious like a giveaway that ask for a deposit because it doesn't work that way and fraudsters are just trying to manipulate you. Moreover, we should educate ourselves about the sneaky approaches of a fraudster because it will be an essential guide to prevent their malicious acts.

It's quite hard to obtain unless you are a day trader because if someone just wants to have advantage from this giveaway, I doubt they will get a good amount. All the rules are quite expensive to fulfill unless as I said you are a regular trader.
I always participate on binance giveaway and also I did some bounty including the halving of 12 BTC reward. I am able to do only three of them like trading my btc worth $500 and refer some guys to do futures trading. I also doing Binance future but I think I cant do much required on this contest. I never tried the first option cause I dont really advantage doing that. Yes this is an expensive task but if you have funds there for a long time, you can take advantage of this bounty. Its not like I funded my account for this giveaway, but already using it even without a halving bounty.

Also did the quiz but that's a thousand chance to win cause only 3 guys per set of quiz.

Reminder: anything sending money is a fake and fraud giveaway, dont fall for one.

Well said, scammers are always active, they always take advantage in any situation, this bitcoin halving can also be used by them to scam people by offering giveaways, so always be careful when someone messages you out of nowhere.

We are now still at the moment of bitcoin halving and there are many things that might happen because of the supplies, you still be careful when trading and investing as well as those fake giveaways by the scammers.

Scammers may say that you need to give out first a small amount of money for you to be able to receive the giveaways if you receive a message like that, think twice.

Mys suggestion is to never send any amount of bitcoin if you found yourself participating in a giveaway. If it's legit then you're lucky if not, then never send any amount.

Yes you are right, BTC12 is a huge amount in current date. AFAIK, for current halving they are only have Halving Quiz event, the reward on BNB not in BTC.
Are you referring to this- https://binance.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360042949272-Binance-Will-Launch-a-12-5-BTC-Bounty-Program-for-the-Bitcoin-Halving-Complete-Tasks-Earn-BTC-
It's quite hard to obtain unless you are a day trader because if someone just wants to have advantage from this giveaway, I doubt they will get a good amount. All the rules are quite expensive to fulfill unless as I said you are a regular trader.
It really is hard to complete any of the task if you don't have lots of money but if you have, you can just complete the task and split the reward of 2.5 btc when 2 bounty task are completed. Well there is a 2 task that can be completed and that is to purchase btc worth $500 or $510 or more as the price may decrease or increase so it's better if it's more than $500 and then trade your btc to other crypto.
Bounty tasks to complete during the activity period:

Task 1: Complete a Crypto purchase of any amount using any of Binance’s fiat to crypto options or via the P2P platform (Buy Crypto or Trade on P2P now).

Task 2: Complete 500 USD or more equivalent trading volume in BTC spot trading pairs (Go to trade).

Task 3: Refer a friend and have them successfully open a Binance Futures account.

Task 4: Complete 1,000 USDT or more in trading volume in the BTC/USDT Binance Futures perpetual contract during the activity period (Go to trade).

Rewards

Complete any 2 out of 4 tasks to equally split a prize pool of 2.5 BTC.
Complete any 3 out of 4 tasks to equally split a prize pool of 4 BTC.
Complete all 4 tasks to equally split a prize pool of 6 BTC.

Usually there wouldn't be halving giveaway if it's not announce by any well reputed organization like Binance.

Everyone should be aware about any giveaway. The easy way to check and verify is visit their social media account with verified status before join or send money. Real giveaway wouldn't ask winner to send money to claim.

People are attracted to promises of easy money especially in times of difficulty like these.
The rule to follow in these cases is simple NEVER send any amount of money or data, (data is money) to get something in return.
If you want to participate in some giweaway the safest way is to participate in those that require nothing in return and if they will be scam in the end you will lose "only" your time.
Of course, downloading any program is also discouraged.

I hadn't heard about any halving giveaway till now, but there is possibilty that scammer would take advantage of halving FOMO. But I have seen bounty campaign on Binance due to halving occasion and the reward amount is 12.5BTC (noticed from Binance apps). Usually there wouldn't be halving giveaway if it's not announce by any well reputed organization like Binance. Just be careful if anyone ask to send btc to them in order to get any giveaway then just avoid them and please discuss on the forum, so you would get better solutions and others would be aware.

Bitcoin halving is few days from happening, that means a lot of things to a lot of people, and from observations there are more people interested in bitcoin because of the halving event. I even have friends curious about it, a network they didn't care if it existed few months ago, these individuals are the ones that are more likely to try to earn bitcoins in anyway possible, and no matter how fake it looks will send funds to receive some bitcoin in fake giveaway schemes. It's a good idea we try to caution those we can(newbies), if not FOMO will make them lose a lot of their money.
