It's not about lazy or what, but the fake site or phising site is try to "imitate" with the real one. So if we don't really check the Url, we could get phised (remember,we can get phised just by one alfabet difference). Instead always type the site everytimes you want visit, it would be better to save and bookmarked the site.
It is much better like that, the sites I often visit such as wallets, exchanges, gambling sites are all bookmarked to make it safer but it's true that your word is also a wrong alphabet that can be fatal because of the tricks of phishing sites are now swifter in making website interfaces become same.
For now, whatever has become popular, many people use it as a game, then a group of people will make the same thing to trick users who are in a hurry, try to imagine them making phishing sites, how much more will trap in this case, of course they will make a lot of money by means of phishing.

I actually got recommended an ad by Google this morning for a fake roobet site as well (although not this particular one, which is probably a lot more deadly given the domain is so closely approximated).

Very easy for beginners to fall into this trap for sure.

Always either type the URL yourself or bookmark the site just in case. Do NOT click on any google ads, whether on their search engine or on adsense. They do virtually no filtering - as long as they get their share of money, they're fine with literally advertising for anyone, scammer or otherwise.
Scammers are coming up with various creative ways to scam gamblers these days. I usually never face issues with phishing or anything similar because I bookmark sites or visit them through my browser history.

Also, 2FA is basically mandatory if you wish to avoid any hack attempts in any site where your funds are present. Laziness in these aspects is the primary reason why so many get scammed and complain later on.

...//...:

This malicious sites have grown with time, all Ads, I did that same search a few months ago I even published it in the ANN-Roobet.com thread, only one appeared.

Although they are reported to eliminate them, in fact they have grown, generally according to lei they do not consider them malicious because they use the referral link..

Well it is true that anything to visit a site like its the better way is to type the URL directly than doing a search on google. I think this is dangerous and will get a lot of trapped and it never hurts to bookmark and type directly in appeal to an unclear tick.

I just tried to do another search on google about Roobet there are so many ads above so if you don't know you will be stuck too.

--snip--

That is right as search engines have become a way for scammers to get their sites indexed and then they become able to advertise it there and so, innocent gamblers get trapped due to the same. @OP, really very nice catch. But I believe that we gamblers too need to watch out the URL carefully that we visit before even thinking of creating an account and/or depositing there to play. Because it's not just a matter of losing money but your credentials too as there are so many gamblers who use almost the same credentials so to easily have them remembered for all sites.

Guys if you fall for this one, then you are simply just too lazy to type... because it only take about 2 seconds to type "roobet.com"...

Yes, a typo can happen.. but people should really double check any URL that they type to make sure mishaps like this does not happen. I happy to see that the site is red flagged for some... so you will immediately know if you made a mistake.

Also, people should know by now, not to click on any Url in emails or other platforms... because 7 out of 10 times, when you receive unsolicited emails, you are being phished.  Roll Eyes

Before gambling, you have to analyze the sites well most of the gambling sites are scamming. They are greedily adding new sites and leaking our personal information by clicking on the links so it is better to stay away from new links there are many casino playing sites in the crypto market participate in verifying their reliability stay away from kyc sites. Phishing Roobet.com's reliability is low and campaign teams are not active it is better to leave this site.

This is a warning for everyone since the beginning of cryptomarket, there's a lot of fake site so better to double check before entering your details. If you always gamble on Roobet better to save the link already and add it to your favorite list so by this, you can be sure that you're on the right site but to make it sure, always check the link. If you receive links on your email, don't trust that link easily.

This is the first time i see a clone of gambling site which is made to scam people. Previously i only heard about the clone exchanges being made to trick people but now scammers are also focusing on gambling sites to scam people.  Sad  Another thing to note is that most gambling sites does not require 2fa and other security measures and only a password is enough to login and withdraw funds.
You can check the settings on your gambling site and see if there’s an option to activate 2fa Authenticator before you can log-in and withdraw, in Roobet you have and email confirmation before you got log-in. This is not the first time I saw fake gambling site, as far as I know scammers are everywhere and they are adopting big change as well so they can continue scamming people. Don’t click the links from suspicious sender, always go on the right and legit site.

We should always be aware of these phishing websites. This is why we should also enable the 2fa on that gambling platform that we use and also properly secure the email we use on it. Enabling these multiple layers of authentication gives you a high chance. If you accidentally log in to those phishing websites, hackers can't easily withdraw all your funds there because 2fa is enabled on the real website and also on your email as well. If you feel you accidentally log in on those phishing websites you can just immediately change your password.
+1 , I don't know why many of us afraid or denied the 2fa activation , what hinders them to do such when this is for their own security ?

Mine? from the very beginning that i create an account to specific site/ i make sure to enabling the 2fa authentication for my own safety.

and i use different emails from all the sites i use so there is no chance of having victimized from all of them .

Very low chance of falling for it... No one types a website's domain name completely, autocomplete is made for that reason. It not only saves you 1 second but also ensures you won't get into such situations. Or as someone else said get used to bookmark such sites.

Yeah it takes 2 second to type  that but actually newbie confusion leads them to search the site by using google thats why its good to educate people about those possible phising attempt made in history as well never recommend anyone to use the google search while browsing a site since this one could lead them to a fake site.

People needs to pay attention upon typing the url of the site since our money will no be recovered if we will fall from the same like this schemes.

^ Definitely right and as long as we can access the website successfully, a bookmark is the best way to avoid such phishing sites and avoid also searching on google, there are too many fake ads that pop up there that will probably a phishing site. The problem of they can not be able to filter what is a scam website and not, the only way to shut down is to have a spam report from us. Nevertheless, this is not new, once a gambling site becomes popular, it is prone to scammer and hackers and will probably phishing site was there. But why if you have research on google Roobet had many scam reports?

Arent these things common? This doesn't only limit out on gambling industry but in other platforms as well on where it do involves money where you can really expect that there would be cloned sites

which are just trying to phish you on and snip out the balance you do had in your account whether its on gambling or exchange etc. So we should really be careful into those common extent.

You would get phished if you aren't really having that good self awareness on what are the things that commonly happens online.
Yes it is very common nowadays and like I stated before it isn't just for crypto or investment accounts but also other platform that requires an account like social media.
I had seen it first at social media some links being spread with fake details and when you click it you would be redirect to a log in to phishing site.
That is why it is important to be very careful on the links that you would open and the sites that you would log in always check if you are at the right site.

Phishing Link on the first page has been blocked or marked as Deceptive site ahead by firefox, but the scammer still uses another way to traping user. Like Yoshie post above, bookmarking is the best way to avoid them.

I don't surprise when searching use dnstwister.report > https://dnstwister.report/search?ed=726f6f6265742e636f6d I will find another phishing roobet.com such link below,

Code:
https://roobėt.com/
(xn--roobt-9za.com)

What differs from the real website? we can see the total wager of phishing website only has 771,257,197. which the real Roobet page is 1,4M and over.

In another case, people use a similar domain to make a referral code. like a picture below,

https://www.virustotal.com/gui/url/0ff66da96dfad3e38c1f8f3aa8d4cd85dbd1fbd27e02a26c03ced1a6ee33b915/details

look at the final URL, I also don't make a point that referral is dangerous or not.

I just make a suggestion to the owner for subscribing dnstwister, when the scammer creates the new phishing website it will notify it by email.

Roobet being one of the most popular and legit gambling site in our time now? no wonder how many of this will come out to target Roobets players.

Thats why i have Booked marked the site from all my gadgets including Laptop, Pc, Mobile and tablets for my safer access.
