Be careful out there and do not think that the FTX / Alameda craze will be the last, anything can still happen

You also needed to be extra careful if you had not upgraded the app into another cloned Binance app scammers uses, that's why the app must be downloaded from their official website and the website mist also be authenticated to be from their verified web address, on a normal ground there should be verifications made and on mobile and mail to ascertain user's account is not compromised by others, you can also contact their support line for enquiry regarding this if it's from them or not, centralized exchange will never cease of showing something phishy girded with fear of missing out regardless of their reputation and their centralized status never change the extent of risk they can posses.

You're the first am getting such case scenario from about the binance exchange system. And it sounds odd cause I always get to input my email address or phone number then my password each time I want to logging to my binance account. I think you should delete that very binance app and download a new one and check on your security settings if it must have been tampered.
I still remember about two days ago I input the wrong password twice while trying to logging to my binance account with a new phone and immediately I received a notification message on my email about the attempts from a new IP address and that I should reset my password and do well to contact customer support immediately also. But since I was the very one that was attempting to logging I just ignored the message.

So mate, you need to contact the binance customer support service lay your complain as experienced and you will have a wholesome clue of why such happened with your account.
You are misquoting the OP. The OP is talking about withdrawal not login issue. There is different between login and withdrawal notification code. The notification code is sent to the number you used in registering to the exchange platform and anytime you do a withdrawal or transaction a notification code must be sent to the number to verify your transaction, and OP is not the only person that has experienced such. If a system dyfunction it affect all the people that were doing transaction at that time. You can re-read the op again for more understanding. Binance uses KYC

Whitelist works like you flag this withdrawal address as safe so no need for some verifications every time you withdraw to that address.
This feature on an exchange is useful because it will become convenient every time you withdraw because no need for some verifications needed, it's 1 press only.
I mentioned it and believed it is the case for OP
  • Whitelisting an address
  • Turning on the one-step withdrawal for whitelisted addresses

Not sure he actually checked his account on this.

Hmmm now I'm curious 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Would you mind confirming that you did not do these two steps above, please.

I remember that Trust wallet now have a straight payment feature in the wallet from binance direct to the wallet instead of copying your wallet address and inserting into binance exchange, could this be the case? Because i am using this features.

From the second image its clear that these security features are not deactivated so there is no chance for compromise here. So you had whitelisted your address which let you to withdraw without need of any authentication since the amount is small.
I didn't know this feature they have, so anyone can tell how much the maximum amount that allows you to withdraw without verification as long as you had been whitelisted, it could be dangerous to us even if that's a small amount.
There's no minimum amount for it when you whitelist a particular withdrawal address with a different chain/network.

its seems strange , I have been using binance for years but never encounter things like that, bypassing security for withdrawal, have you check the web address you are in? since they have updated this settings that it is required before doing those things, try to also refresh the page it might be just a glitch, if not your in big trouble you need to make sure carefully check everything before transferring those coins.

So it means when you have funds in Binance it's easy to steal from other people or if your account it's been compromised it could be hackers will be quickly withdrawn your fund.  Thanks for the reminder, but fortunately this wasn't happening on my account and I think that's a bug in their system when you activate that notification the security system didn't go through.

Checked out mine account there and tried to withdraw some and it has gone through. But thanks for the reminder, if this happens to me I'll contact the support immediately and will tell it to them.

So that they can notify the system maintenance team to give this an update and everyone would get to have all the security features on especially the 2FAs.

Everyone has to be mindful and aware of what happens to their accounts just as what OP has noticed to his.

This is not a call for panic, if what you narrated is really true, then it's a technical issue on your account. Your money would have long gone if your account is targeted, however, I don't know the hacker that would target a small account as you have indicated the size of yours.

Regardless, more light would have been shed on the situation if you had tried to withdraw any crypto to an external wallet. In this regard, they might have asked you to put your password because it's more secure than the P2P in which you can withdraw only to the bank account in your name. Also, check your payment settings cleverly.

Just contact Binance support, and it would be fixed.

Some days ago I decided to make some withdrawal from Binance exchange and I noticed that the withdrawal went through without any form of verifications e.g Authentication code, Email code and phone number code.

I thought to myself, when did Binance deactivate these? Then I moved on, reactivate all three security 🔐  measures, this morning again the same thing happened, is Binance buggy or what?

I feel relaxed about this because I only have few dollars on the exchange, this is very dangerous for those that have big amount on the exchange, converting my FIAT to crypto is why I am still using Binance exchange.

I don't recall if it ever happened to me, but I always remember receiving an email to confirm a withdrawal. It sounds extremely odd that you didn't. On the other hand, 2FA, either through authentication or email, is already required when you login; thus, you're already verified in a way, I guess. I'm not implying that it's ideal or okay, but you get my point. Is there any chance you have your device trusted perhaps? I can't think of anything else. Try contacting their support and checking your security settings.

  • Did you turn on One-step Withdrawal for your Binance account?

I've cleared app cache for binance app and I've checked the security settings too, all is intact.

Will wait for a few days and see what happens again, though I've contacted customer service, waiting for a reply.

Clearing cache will not change any settings of the app so this isn't caused by settings either.

That verification number sent to email, voice call or to email now very much helpful in the transaction process. Therefore, bypassing that process might lead to defraudment. The users that are using Binance for investment should notice it and do all the necessary things to avoid the unthinkable. Authentication code is sent to the original registered number to confirm the authenticity. So if the sending of code is removed from Binance then the security of Binance is at take.

Most of the time when making a withdrawal binance are asking for your phone number and email verification code before proceeding with the transactions and I guess re-installing the binance is the ideal thing to do if the case are still the same i guess good to contact the binance support regarding this issue to prevent suspicious activity too to your account.  Possible you do is to
  • Check the security option
  • Re-install the app / Clear cache for binance
  • Report to Customer support

I still get notifications and steps to withdraw as usual. nothing unusual.
verify email and authenticator code as usual. in the past, I used to leave some assets on the exchange, but now I will make a withdrawal every time I finish with my trades.

what happened to you should be recorded in your email activity. otherwise, it must be a system error that occurred. you should contact their support to convey this. just in case in the future, it might happen to you again.

As far that I know binance has a feature to withdraw without authentication but of course with limit and whitelist address, especially withdraw to defi address in bnb chain.

First of all are you currently activating this feature or do your account got hacked. Usually binance will email you everything that happen to your account including login and withdraw

Could it be that your account got compromised? Cause if its security has been deactivated possibly someone might tapped into that and you didnt noticed. But if not then errors comes from the binance app itself then try to reach out on their customer service.

But if you navigate on the security activity on your profile youll see if theres changes. Im not sure if this a is new feature but seen it and might be helpful for monitoring if theres a threat on your account. (some form of history regarding it changes or alterations)

Could be internal operating issues or some sort of experiment and could also be peculiar to your account.
You'll have to contact their customer support system.

No one should have ''big amounts" on an exchange, it's a huge security risk.
There are also other options to convert fiat to crypto, if you would look into them.

Be careful out there and do not think that the FTX / Alameda craze will be the last, anything can still happen
It would definitely not be the last and obvious hacks is not the only risk in using centralized exchanges: there is privacy concern and the risk of the platform selling your personal information.

Seems very abnormal. Your best move is to simply try contacting Binance support. Should be easily fixable if their customer support is decent.
