Hey guys! I think this is something we all should take a good lesson from. We should be really careful with the type of people we give our information to. Someone (well, a crypto guru) got attacked by robbers and the person wss forced to make unwanted transactions. Stay anonymous, don't let anyone know that you own any crypto coin.

Thanks for this one but this is not the first that has already happened, and i remember the bitcoin millionaire was getting robbed and he has been forced to create unwanted transaction too.
This why we must never try to participate in any airdrop that requires KYC.

Sound really scary but with all this kyc policy many exchanges and even wallets have its hard to remain anonymous when dealing with crypto coins. The law against AML had made it hard to protect our personal financial privacy any staff on those exchanges can easily sell our details in darkweb and than you will get robbers like those in article in your door.

We need decentralized exchange which is strong and secure enough to process high trading volume.

This should be a lesson to us to always put on low profile. With so many bad guys out there that wants money without working hard for it we should always be careful on who to trust and to whom we share our information. Having large amount of money can be risky and can cost you your life especially with those guys lurking out there waiting to get the chance to take advantage of you. That is why its best to keep every transactions anonymous and never let others know exactly how much money/cryptocurrency you're holding! Transactions with crypto is done anonymously it is up to you how you're going to keep it that way. Better be safe than sorry.

I have always been scared about it, this is why I always use proxies and Tor to log in to sites and never give my details, even to exchanges. I have never given my real name to any exchange, not because I want to avoid taxes, but simply because I have no idea who is dealing with my information, and what is going to be done with it once they close, because they always end up closing, sometimes out of nowhere you wake up and the exchange disappears. They usually claim "hack" or something else, but im sure a lot of the time it's just inside jobs, the owners end up being scammers, and god knows what they will do with your information. I would be worried if ever did the stupid thing of taking a selfie holding your ID in order to register to any of these exchanges.

I hate how I lost some of my trading history on exchanges because they closed and I wasn't able to save it, this may lead to some problems in the future when trying to buy real estate with Bitcoin, but I hope they understand. It's just too much of a risk to give details to exchange owners, or to anyone in this crypto wild wild west. Stay safe indeed.

Thanks for the information about pain in sharing identity. This would help a long way by saving our life and our our family member as well. If robbers know more about your riches, they would definitely come against you one day. We should always hide our identity to keep us save from attack.
