I don't know (and don't care either tbh) if it's a joke, i just made the post so people wouldn't fall for this scam
Can you please explain the actual scam?

1 wallet had 99% of the tokens and was selling on every ETH DEX, the token doesn't have any use and was made just to sell to people unable to do proper research before investing
"Investing" Grin
Please provide sources for your accusation. How do you exactly know what the token was made for? Post transaction IDs or whatever lead you to the conclusion that this is an actual scam.

Did you ever create a token on eth? Whatever you create happens to be in your wallet. This is how it works. And you can trade any shittoken on almost any DEX, so I don't see much proof here, either.
So please, provide proper proof.

I had to lol at the name of the coin and the "not so smart people". I guess its like the tobacco company that sells under the name "die with us". What are they going to invent next? BeScammedCoin? 99% "premined"/reserved token? What are you expecting? It has to be legit.

Lol, it's pretty obvious that this token or whatever is just riding the wave of the Corona virus pandemic.

"Proof of Death"? "Burning coins with each death?"

No one will take this coin seriously, and I do hope that no one will fall for their trick to scam people out of their precious money.

I think that such a token could be created by the government as part of a charity campaign. In this case , everyone who bought such a token would be able to contribute to the fight against the coronavirus. And part of the money collected in this way could go to pay compensation to families in which one of its members died.

who buys this?

Someone does unfortunately, as the % of tokens held by the main wallet had dropped from 99% to 96% yesterday.

I see right now that they have moved a big number of tokens in other 2 wallets, but i doubt those were bought

Guys, relax. Obviously, Bitlord is joking.

Everyone who followed him in the recent weeks saw that with the Corona outbreak, he started LARPing hard. Watch his videos, it's funny!

Some days ago the "Crypto Twitter Influencer" Crypto Bitlord announced CoronaCoin:

people need to stop ridiculing the crypto world. every time there is something very sad or something that draws a lot of attention, some people take advantage of the situation. I see many ridiculous thing that makes me shocked, we already have:

jesus coin

bitcoin Gold

Bitcoin Diamond

Bitcoin cash

Bitcoin SV

BitcoinHD

Bitcoin Rhodium

Putin Coin

Trump Coin

Cat Coin

Moon coin

Skin coin

Porn Coin

Garlicoin

The token is being traded on most ETH DEXes, and i guess it's just them dumping on "not so smart" people (it has something around 5-10 K dollars in daily volume)

who buys this?

Guys, relax. Obviously, Bitlord is joking.

It is a joke but it's a shitty joke nonetheless.
There are a billion subjects for making a shitty coin and try to make a joke out of it yet he chose the worst one.
What can you find funny in creating a shitcoin with "proof of death"?
I'm pretty sure the thousands of people all around the world with family members hospitalized because of the virus are laughing their ass out with this one!

Look, a new shitcoin!
Holocaust token, it doesn't use gas like Ethreum it uses the revolutionary Zyklon. It has a limited edition of 6 million, je...
You find it funny?
It's not that a shitcoin is responsible for the deaths. The internet is a bad, macabre place. Anything you can imagine to exist there will exist. People do all kinds of shit, and yes, I've had my fair share of suffering in life, too, and I don't complain when I see shit online which could remind me of something bad from my past in any way. Why do people always get triggered that much?

Laugh about it, or don't (I didn't, because I didn't find that coin particularly funny), but let's stop making a scene over one more shitcoin in the already way too large list of them.

"Crypto Twitter Influencer"
Sweet jiminy, how does one earn that title?  Do you have to know things others don't or just have a loud enough social media voice?  What a world.

You need to fail in everything else that you have tried with your life, only then if you manage to get 1k subscribers doing stupid things you're an influencer!

It is idiotic to create token like this.
I saw the news about this crap, but only now I see that this guy announced it and maybe he created it.
He is just using mass panic and fear

Are they looking for profit in a panic all over the world?
I can't believe he made an idea like this, maybe a lot of other people suffer from this plague but they made this token just for profit, well this project could be just nonsense after the corona virus could be overcome then this project would be dead.

Bitlord is one of the biggest joke accounts on CT. Most of his tweets are meant as a joke so don't consider this to be otherwise.

Looked pretty obvious to me, but this is the world of crypto after all.  It wouldn't surprise me in the least if some idiots did try to capitalize on the corona virus hype by trying to "tokenize" it.  Having seen some of the ridiculous projects that made up the ICO bubble, coronacoin doesn't seem any more ridiculous than some of the worst tokens/coins that were released in 2017-18.
I agree. And I would not advise anyone to toss actual money at such projects (same as I'd advise with 99.9% of all altcoins). But this urge to post as many scam accusations as possible to increase whatever stat needs increasing, these days, has gotten kinda out of hand, and with the recent nonsense posted in the scam accusations subforum, it became really hard to stay up to date with actual scams which go beyond the usual "anyone with half a brain cell would see that it's not wise to invest in this". A normal discussion thread would often be totally sufficient.

Hell, he doesn't even know how to post a proper scam accusation!

We still have guys here who are doing amazing work, dig deep into projects, reveal otherwise unrevealed connections between things and do a great job. But I don't see how a spam coin justifies a spam scam accusation. It's pretty much baseless.

But generally speaking, I agree: people should always use their brain (if available).

Edit: prime example for what we call "joke" for those who consider this an actual scam: https://twitter.com/Crypto_Bitlord/status/1220666197546418177

This idiot is proud that it is launching this shit project, once it is posted here I'm sure it will be flagged down, people should not glorify deaths coming from this epidemic, this is how greedy some developers are, they take the opportunity even if this is to the point of glorifying casualties coming from Coronavirus.

I posted in here just for that, since i doubt they'll do an ANN on the forum
