To be honest, even it is not illegal to participate in the pump and dump schemes, I would never recommend joining such activities because it is the clearly unethical way to trade as it involves manipulation of the market and mostly newbies suffer from such schemes and it affects the growth of user base of cryptocurrencies. Doing market research, analysis and planning own trading strategies is the best way to trade in my opinion.

Most of the telegram channels are scam. I have a few friends who have lost their properties because of the announcements in the telgram channels.

unfortunately nearly all of these accounts on different social media platforms such as Telegram, Twitter, Facebook and others are scam accounts and groups which were created to fool others and make money from their gullibility.
there is no more legit discussions out there anymore, they hide behind things such as "signal group", "trading discussion", ... and pretend they are doing something useful whereas in reality they are scamming people.

I think that pump channels are just using their members to pump a certain coin and gain profit from it. because
i  think that the main people on the group take most of the profit from it.

That is through talk, but mostly it occur that after ICO and the coin has been publish to coin market cap, and listed on difference exchange where it can be trading, at that initial time most coin prize used to be ICO price or below, then during pumping the price increases and any body that has that particular coin at that moment is the best time to sell, because when it fall down it take a lot of period of time to raised again.

you make a very precise topic. make beginners be careful indeed very many people are trapped from the group of pump channels, including myself also become the target group of the pump. i am stuck at a very high rate and takes a long time to wait rate back up.
if we can not play fast then we can be the target of their food😅

if you are going to join and the organiser says its aiming for a 15% hike.. dont be a fool and go with what he says. be there right at the point the coin is mentioned and just grab 2-5%. dont be greedy and wait for 10% because although the organiser wishes and announces 15% it may not even get to 10%. so be smart. aim for 2-5% and get out

nobody should ever join any pump group at all. thinking you can do this and that to prevent losing money and "win" the game is just an illusion that will lead to losses eventually. in fact being a sheep in general is always leading to big losses.
in this case the coin they introduce with whatever % in mind can already be pumped and they introduce it because they want to dump it then and there so it may not even go that high. and they are never giving you a small percentage. they always promise 100%-200%-400% pumps and then pump it.
not to mention that the market is not controlled by one pump group. there are lots of them out there. they may choose a coin to pump and go against another pump group that doesn't want that coin pumped so they may crush their attempts to keep the price low for their own accumulation..... there is always someone better out there.

Yes be careful with all those pumps and dump channel, the only person will make money is the admins, normal user do not make money, they use your money to pump the coin and they sell it when you pump, so they make money, not you. I would personally avoid it.

the pump groups are there only for the organiser to buy coin first and then get sheep to move the price up. so the organiser can sell. and then get the sheep to sell after.
did you just realize this? their main intention is to get profit, specifically their own (organizer team) profit Tongue
they don't need to organize a group if they are pumping a coin for best cause, increase exposure, value and usage
contrary to what they say in the first place (pumping), they're actually gathering people as buyers for their dumps (dumping)
so... group member = pumper , and group organizer = dumper  Cheesy Grin

never let greed or emotion control your funds. be like a robot. set yourself a rule and stick to it. dont let any pump organiser tell you any different. if they say 15%, grab 5% if they say 10% grab 3%
well said, that is the core of trading!
your prediction vs mine, you're buying/selling and I am selling/buying
don't let anyone control your action and don't let your emotion out of control Cheesy

Some of you may have noticed this, That there are certain individuals who deliberately create a kind of pump channel in Telegram, Whatsapp etc. which aims to help people earn profit but the reality is very different.

I have tried to follow the pump channel and want to see what the channel activity looks like. Before the pump to a certain coin, will appear such a channel announcement, the time of pump, type of pump, target pump and coin to be in the pump is still a secret. It aims for channel members to prepare some money to buy. After the coin announced, the pump drama also starts with a target percentage.

the buying wall is starting to look, and the channel members are busy putting up buy orders on top of the created wall and when the target is reached, the buying wall is released and changes to the selling process which causes the price to come back down.

The question is:
- does this channel only use members to help pump prices?
- If they target a 15% increase, would they sell it when the target is reached?
- Is there any guarantee that they do not make a purchase of the coins to be collected first before announcing it.

One thing is for sure with these kinds of groups and it is only few of them benefits this kind of manipulation. I suspect its only about 5-10% of the members of the group and in the end those wwho are small timers and beginners will be left behind.

the pump groups are there only for the organiser to buy coin first and then get sheep to move the price up. so the organiser can sell. and then get the sheep to sell after.

in short only the organiser wins.. so there is no point joining.
if you are going to join and the organiser says its aiming for a 15% hike.. dont be a fool and go with what he says. be there right at the point the coin is mentioned and just grab 2-5%. dont be greedy and wait for 10% because although the organiser wishes and announces 15% it may not even get to 10%. so be smart. aim for 2-5% and get out

think about it. if you can make 2% a week thats doubling your funds in a year. much better interest than any bank would give. so be happy with 2% a week

never let greed or emotion control your funds. be like a robot. set yourself a rule and stick to it. dont let any pump organiser tell you any different. if they say 15%, grab 5% if they say 10% grab 3%

or be smarter and just dont join these groups and dont be a sheep

Most of these groups in social networks unfortunately scammers. Many people, out of ignorance and simplicity, have already fallen for their tricks. You have to be very careful when you join this kind of group.

I really think that pump channels are just using their members to pump a certain coin and gain profit from it. I really think that the main people on the group take most of the profit from it. Signals might even be sent late because people who organized the group might have bought in early to buy it cheap, and send signals so that coins will be pumped and the core of the group would sell early and send sell signal after selling all their coins.

the worst form of a pump group are those that are not honestly calling themselves a "pump group". instead they hide behind words such as "trading signals" and pretend they are not a scam group of people trying to earn money from gullibility of newbies!

and there is always a bigger pumper whale who will eat them alive at some point.

This is automatic karma for them "the whales". They won't even know that they were totally bullied.

- I think 90% used only members to help pump the prices. But most senior members can used the trading trollbox as well to announce that's why some can ride the waves.

- I don't think that most of them are selling at their target price. Most seasoned members would exit early at around 10%

- There's no guarantee. What I noticed though is the premium members had already purchase a lot of coins prior to the actual pump that's why they do exit early. And what's left are those newbies who thinks that they can earn huge amount bit in reality they won't even get close to the targeted profit.

And this is the reality, it's happening here in our city personally I encounter someone who encourage me to join in their group and deep inside laugh at them. At some point I was a bit pity for th

the worst form of a pump group are those that are not honestly calling themselves a "pump group". instead they hide behind words such as "trading signals" and pretend they are not a scam group of people trying to earn money from gullibility of newbies!

and the way they operate depends on the experience of the pumper. some of them are even worse newbies themselves! they panic sell too soon and ruin the pump or go against the market quite often and lose money Cheesy
and there is always a bigger pumper whale who will eat them alive at some point.

well, I saw it did happen. When the pumper targets a 15% increase, most members already sell it at 10% or below. Either because it's for safe search or the pumper itself does it. But I think that who did it is not a newbie but someone who knows how to use the fake channel which gives benefits to some of its members and from the other side also resulted in losses to its members. So, the lucky members come from the losers.
