I believe the scammers will use this moment for their benefits to get many target people to get their money because I am sure many people want to donate their money to help Ukrainians. We should be careful and always check the wallet address and if necessary, we can ask their government if that wallet belongs to them or it is a scammer's wallet. That is our way to avoid scammers because it is not easy to detect them.

The donation that took place was an announcement to their official twitter account which many got their address to donate and the Ukraine twitter page is verified by twitter so if any donation one have to be sure it's from the right source they are sending their fund to. i have also been inbox on twitter for help and guess what? The user account is a newly created account and i sense it to be scammer so i was vigilant enough to noticed it, they uses such little opportunities to get our funds stolen.

Scammers are always ready to take advantage of the situation, and I've seen people sharing shady accounts and claiming they are spreading official accounts to help Ukrainians who are suffering from the conflict. So it's very important to check the sources and only donate to reputable organizations if one wants to do so. I hate it that some people are using such a vulnerable situation, exploiting the compassion of people who want to help Ukrainians during these hard times. Beware of scams, the informational war is extremely strong right now, and that includes scammers.

I can't really imagine how these scammers will take advantage in a situation like this. The majority had thought it was legit and that was the people from Ukraine really asking for this but too sad and really disappointing.

There is only a way to make a deal of these scammer's tricks and that is to send the right address this will happen if we directly send it to the government instead of sending it to the third parties. And even charities foundation is hard to trust unless if they are known already to such event and services for the long-time.

Scammers will always try to advantage of human emotions, this is a prime example of the same. While people should be cautious there will be some innocent and kind hearted people who will be willing to donate and they are the prime targets.

I think it will be best if people send money to their relatives only and not send money to random websites and addresses being posted in the internet and forums.

With markets crashing everyone will face monetary problems but we need to hold on to the helm for tiding over this time.

Scammers will definitely want to use the opportunity to defraud people and I believe lot's of people will have fallen victim already, but whenever we are making any donation always make sure you are sending your coin to the right wallet address, make sure get the correct wallet address and I believe people might be contacting you, sending you links or wallet address to make your donation, pls try and avoid those people to avoid being scammed.

Scammers don't waste any time at all, they see opportunity in every situation, whether good or bad, while people are suffering from the impact of war, scammers are somewhere skimming ways to defraud people, donator should be extra vigilant,  spare time to check for the official wallet to donate to, don't send money to scammers who like to take advantage of situations.
The moment I saw there was the possibility to help Ukraine with some bitcoin I knew that scammers were going to jump at the opportunity immediately and try to make some quick money this way, they are completely shameless, not only they want to steal money from the people that are opening their hearts and wallets to send a little bit of help, but they are also stealing from people which actually could use that bitcoin for something important.

This is nothing new. Scammers will take advantage of any situation to make money. There is a lot of stuff in the media people asking for money to help them escape the crisis. I have come across some on my facebook feed, pictures of women and children in distress. There is usually a writeup that they need money to save themselves. Anyone who falls for this scam has themselves to blame. I believe there is a official Ukraine Bitcoin address for donations if you're feeling generous.
Ukrainian Scam Donation Posts and Users
Take a look on this reply which is on point and directing you on the proper board which do tally up all of those scam donation post and users which it is really just right for you to check out before you do tend to make out

some donation or something related to that.It is true that scammers are always everywhere and tending to make use of something just for the sake of fooling everyone just to stole their money.

And now we are on that war situation then not surprisingly that they would make this as an excuse and make people believe.

Thanks for sharing this truth. Out of emotion, many are really going to donate to Ukraine through crypto as it's the easiest way of doing it.
But scammers have seen this entry for them to take advantage of the situation. They don't have any feeling and heart to be concerned not only to Ukraine but also to the victims that might fall to them.

I took close to an hour cross-referencing information on the donation address I sent BTC to, before actually sending any TXs to the recipient address.
As with any other made pretext or mediatic event, scammers are always sharp to place their hooks out for those ready to take the bait. We’ve seen that on the forum, social media, and in reports such as the one elaborated by Eset, where they enumerated a bunch of early scam donation sites such as:

At the moment it's wise to make donations only to a well verified account both for crypto or fiat donations. We live in a society where scammers take advantage of any slight opportunity they get to make dubious wealth. Been cautious about how donation is been made is the only way to avoid funding the wrong address scammers are just opportunist seeking for victims to take advantage of.

I guess this will be different scenario unlike sending bitcoin/crpyto to a scam giveaway where greediness is more involve than just donating since people are promised that their coins will be doubled which will give excitements.

I know more people will be keen to this same like donating to a non crypto related donations. So it's fine to assume, at least for me, that people will be more careful this time. Well, if they don't, it's their money to begin with.
