Op you have spoken well, information is vital and we all know that, so sharing information either increases or devalues you worth depending on the status of the Information being shared. Any person sharing false information multiple times is only keeping his/her account in probable danger because, the account could get tag for shitposting, lier or even get banned. Unlike other times, we now have a good local board moderator which is Igebotz and he is active, I remember how he gave few member tag for spam posting before he became our moderator, currently most post are being moved to archive based on the post quality of information I commend his good works. And this is also to let False information poster to be conscious of what you post here if you care for the reputation of your account.

This one no be lie ooo and I believe say our moderator dey active, he has been handling I mean taking care of false informations for sometime now. In as much as we believe that information is power we should also be mindful of the kind of information we carry or spread around the forum cause most information can be disastrous  and misleading, is not everything on social media someone is suppose to bring to the forum most social medias information are not true, most are planned something wey dey wan use chop money, sometimes you go see those bloggers dey post rubbish and fake something just to get en money. And newbies wey  don see where them don post social media talk for the forum go rush come post waiting no be true wey him see for social media, abeg make we dey try calm down ( aje te ba aje te).

I feel you Op but let's exempt the role of creating topics that'd attract merit resting on quality posts that'd be interesting to discuss about especially ones that can offer innovative ideas and also solutions. Although topics that're not related to currencies in the local board doesn't really seems worthless just for the awareness of the newbies so that they don't think moving their posts to the childs boards is assumed to be trashed in there.
The thing is that know what to post and where to post it with creative qualities.
I agree with being said Op and the worse unlearned part of the newbies is that they acts like this is one of the social media of memes and living your life as pleases.

My message to the newbies about bringing internet related updates to the forum is to always support your informations with source and stop acting being an expert in the forum so you can grow on your beginners knowledge.

All of us at some time be newbies and just like Jesus talk, say if you sabi say you never do this kind thing a before oya make you be the first to cast the stone(The exact quote - “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.” - John 8:7-11). I dey feel say sometimes we need to go easy on these newbies. The era wey all of us register for the forum dey different and of course after all these our famzing bitcoin we all get one intention for joining. My recommendation to the newbies go be say make dem dey ask serious question before them dey make post. Dem fit even run their post idea by the person wey carry dem come, by so doing all, dem go get proper guidance on how to go about am.

Topics na wetin you  suppose create out of inspiration and thorough research make you for share legit information with everybody wey see am. No be must to create topic, people still dey grow well for their contributions to topic wey another person create. If you no get better unique information to share, no just bother  to create topic because e go only expose your empty brain, just go contribute for topics wey others don create and no forget to verify wetin you dey post so you go dey on point.

To get  merits no be the ultimate thing although its important,  but to share information wey go fit benefit people for the forum. If you focus on merit, you go dey disappointed, discouraged and you go develop sense of entitlement when you share useful information. Make sure you do your best and merit go come naturally as a reward.

I no the too blame these newbies for those mistakes and inauthentic topics wey them the he bring come make as post's for inside the local board. The people I blame na the persons wey bring them come forum, him no give them correct yet right orientation about the forms of topics and discussions them need to bring into the forum based on the objective of forum.

Them just the full the newbies with the idea of hustle for merit anyhow you fit do am with any topic, which is not good at all. Yea, merit dey sacrosanct but hit on the aspect of knowledge about bitcoin to the newbie more than anything else. Cos na from the right knowledge in addition to some tips na you fit take grow for this  community, and not by posting anything that has an alphabet that makes up a sentences.

Anytime you try to be someone else other than yourself, you over stretch things and begin to stress yourself to bring out superficial things. In doing that, is what led many into creating posts that are not originally there's or posts that ended up being flagged because, although it's their texts, but they wanted to add more spices to them therefore making use of external devices. The rule number I have learnt here is BE ORIGINAL!

This is one reason why the role of a moderator in a board like ours can't be underemphasized. As long as we have mixtures of people that have different extent of knowledge about crypto and there knowledge on the board isn't all that strong, we're going to see more of this kind of threads popping up regularly on the board and if we didn't have a local board moderator, it would contribute to the board being filled with less quality post or post that aren't even verified at all.

One reason why we have some of these frequent topics that sometimes don't even have any positive impact on the board and isn't even authentic is due to the whole merit system and the fact that most newbies want to rank up by all means and they feel that it's by how many post you've made that gives you an higher chance of getting more merits.

I think that with our moderator actively working to ensure that things are set right on the board, it's evident that the quality of the threads we have had in the forum for a while now has improved and the less quality once have been shifted to off topic. We can't totally expect a perfect board that's void of some threads that's a bit inaccurate and of low quality and even if you visit other boards, you will notice that sometimes, there had been threads that's not even inline with some of those boards niche but with the combined effort of the board regulations and other active user that all put in the effort to ensuring  that things are done the right way, we will work towards a near perfect board.

Op na just this thing wey you talk like this na him been dey my mind to talk because e don too much for those newbie sometimes you see newbie wey just open account today instead am to ask for guidance from forum members on how in go take navigate the forum, you go see them with useless topic wey no go even give them any value the most anoing part na the wey Dem dey create topic about Hamster Kombat wey go lead Dem to scam at the end, thankGod say we have our moderator now any newbie wey create unnecessary topic him go delete am.

Thank God you know say our moderator they do the moderator job well. Correct me if I no ask well, but this your thread dey really necessary? Because we get more than 4 pined threads for our local board and the reasons why moderator pin them na because say any new person way come go fit read them. Any newbie way no read those threads before him paran-bulate or create unnecessary posts na the moderator job to delete am or if you see am just report am codedly and if the moderator see say the post no suppose dey the board him go delete am entirely. To be frank, this your post no really dey necessary because many of us know and as newbies they lazy to read before them they post, na so sheriff to just dey delete them, your own nah just to they report them for here

If we see anything online, then we must be eager in reading it, digesting and make sure we understand about it, then verify the means and check on other platforms and website for its authenticity in knowing whether its a fake news or not, because it has been noticed that many would have pass across false information on something before realizing its fake, this should also serves as a warning to everyone of us to be mindful of the platforms we do follow up for our updated news, some are not to be trusted to that extent while some could be reliable in the information they give out to the public because they are from verified sources.

 I don notice say most people out of the quest to create new topic go just go gather any information they get for social media come drop for the forum especially the Newbies. Most of them no even get legit points to back their informations whether eh legit or make sense, them go just go see anynews carry come forum, I dey very happy as them share our Naija local board into different places come give us better moderator wey dey work very hard to move posts to off-topic or  for the accurate category where they belong. Most of these Newbies no they even act as if they come here to learn, them they do like say they done know everything finish for the forum and they go just they create anyhow topic wey no go even fetch them merits. For this forum learning na constant thing, eh no matter how long eh go take you to grow just calm down they learn from other senior members so you go improve instead of to they cap or go carry informations from anywhere wey you no go fit defend properly if person through questions or counter you all in the name of creating topics.
