Why do you think bears are reacting to the market and playing it? It's not the downtrend that causes bears to appear and dump, the downtrend starts because of their existence. There have to be pessimists and optimists for the world to stay in balance Wink

well, speculators like charts..and right now the charts speak a pretty clear language.

It's not about the direction of the movement but rather about when there is movement expected  Wink

I'll add to this a bit... Maybe it's not bears as much as it's lack of bulls that causes tops to form. In topping situations, the momentum that once ruled the bull market is now dwindling. This causes a diverging effect on charts. At that point, it's not about who is going to sell, it's who can sell first. The pessimism comes from the lack of strength in the end of the bull market. If only one person was a bear, there would be no way the price would fall. But knowing that there are others out there, and they will sell at the same signals, it's better to be first to maximize the gain. In many cases, it's not so much about the gain as much as it's about the desire to not want to see your value go in the shitter in a year long, -80% bearmarket. So why not get out? Then you can buy lower and have that many more BTC. I know this can't work for everyone, but being a bear at the right time isn't the problem here. It's being a bull at the wrong time.

If there weren't bears to sell, how would 99% of you ever get your first coins? Most, damn sure aren't mining them now.

Short reminder: Bears aren't stupid. They don't sell "for the lulz", but because they have reason to believe the price will go down. As soon as the market changes they, too, go back and invest their money again. In a bullish period a lot of bears become bulls. It's important to remember this isn't a game of which team to root for, but too see which way the wind currently blows: Changing teams isn't something dishonorable - it's just smart.

Bears are the Bulls of tomorrow  Cool

Anyways, people need to understand the difference between Bitcoin and Bitcoins! Bitcoins are mainly driven by speculation (hello Mr. Bear). Bitcoin is the underlying technology and the network. Apparently, at some point, the intrinsic value of the network will be resembled by the value of the Coin!

Make up your mind regarding the technology and it's potential, buy some coins (or don't) and put them into Cold Storage. Do not open until 2030!

Buy some more coins and trade the hell out of them.

Either way, lot's of fun to be have!

I agree. Traders are only there to make money and they have little regard if their actions have an impact towards the future of bitcoin. Sadly that's the way on how it goes.

However, as what I believe, fundamentals at the end will rule the day. Cheap coins at such low price is just too attractive considering the technology of bitcoin. Miners who get new coins will be very much unwilling to sell as they would be selling at a loss. So they would rather keep them. When supply is low and at such low price, this will drive the price upwards.

Alts have better technology - so selling "bitcoin" will be hard in the future.
Miners switch to whatever coin is profitable.

It's fuckin' evolution. The hype was just hype.

Not true. Alts don't have better technology, at least not relevant better techonology, and each technology can be implemented into Bitcoin or sidechains.

99% of the world using cryptocurrencies use Bitcoin. Paypal use Bitcoin. Microsoft use Bitcoin.

That's not going to change.

Bitcoin will be the king, you like or not.

perhaps I misunderstood?/

1. Do you think price will ever recover above 300$?
2. DO you believe in God?
3. Do you agree with the statement "anything can be hyped"?

1: not so sure. Honestly, i don't. But not 100% about it.
2: i'm not here to discuss religion
3: anything can be hyped as long as you find fools that fall for it, correct.

Some of you don't understand few things. Inflation in bitcoin is when there is more bitcoin produced than new money comming into it. And if there is more money comming, there is actually deflation. And because bitcoin ecosystem still grows you don't know when deflation will happen.

1. You dont think bitcoin will recover from price fail ever
2. You seem to believe in God
3. You seem to think inflationary currencies cant rise in value

You are mostly wrong.

all your assumptions are false - with #1 i'm not sure, but the others aren't correct necessarily.

I am fine with bears, they see the value at a lower price...but they see a value.

Then there are the trolls "you bitcoiners", "failed experiment", "ponzi", "tulips", etc.

I have yet to go on dollartalk.com and point out the bubble that is the dollar index. They will learn on their own. In the meantime, I dismantle the old ways of living with fiat currency and build up my bitcoin lifestyle.

100% correct. The moment it turns (it won't soon) i am all bull again. Not now though. (odds are: it won't recover)

Thank god there's some people with some brain left.

The HYPE ruined people!!!

You can not hype an inflationary currency! You just can't do that! That's basic math!

but I think it's normal that investors priority is the protection of capital and the secondary issue multiplication funds. If someone blindly believe in the only right, upward trend in prices of BTC is probably left brain at home  Grin can hope for some movement on the issue Bitcoin but reasonably necessary look at the reactions of the market
