I'm definitely not dependent on a cell phone, I don't think it's a good thing to stay every day or many hours on the phone, the person stays someone who doesn't value family and family life because all the time they are on the phone

Countless people around me are staring into their phones instead of talking to each other  Undecided I prefer to set up price notifications for pairs I'm interested in and go on with my life. Addiction is a bad thing.

It is true and unfortunately many people do not know this, Is sad because I see many people doing this

Newbies out there how many of you guys are so addicted to their smartphone since they entered crypto space? Ive never ever let go of a day without checking anything related to crypto online lol, I'm sure there are many like me out there, I'm doing this 24/7 365 lol and I'm simply loving it haha

I don't know if this is a good habit or bad one but even I am one of the guys who keep checking the price of crypto everyday.
This is just to stay up to date with the prices. For the most part I keep reading about crypto news and whats happening around the globe in the crypto world.

I used to keep checking on my instagram earlier but now I have followed many number of pages on instagram which are related to crypto.
Now every time I open up Instagram I can see only crypto related articles, news and memes and I kind of like this thing now.

This isn't really healthy even if you're loving it. Watching the price is a waste of time, just use some service for price change notifications to keep track of important price changes. This bull run could last for many more months, do you really want to waste hundreds of hours watching charts pointlessly?

This is a new habit that naturally occur to you when you have a strong interest in crypto.  as a holder i also always monitor crypto price movements and also latest news about crypto 2 times in 1 hour (i'm not like you who do 24/7), you can still do other things and be productive, so don't push yourself too much.

I remember the time when I was still new into cryptocurrency. At first I started earning BTC for doing simple tasks from private clients. Then I started seeing ICO ads on my Facebook feed (during the time it was not yet restricted by FB) and I started participating in those campaigns. This is where I started getting addicted into crypto. After that, I learned about airdrops and bounty programs, and I am getting addicted even more.

This industry is indeed addicting until now, because of the tremendous growth and interest that we have seen. Crypto is unstoppable!

Crypto is a fun space to hang around. The markets are very volatile you never know when a token jumps or drops. I had also invested in few PoS tokens and not an hour goes by when i don't go to coindesk and check the price.
I think i will love it when i cash out BIG TIME!

Been addicted to crypto do start when you get to know about crypto newly. You'll be having the steady urge to know what's happening around the crypto sphere.
I remember when I joined the bitcointalk forum newly. It was like that. Going through all the boards to grab all the knowledge I can cos I was eager to learn and understand how works. Up till now, the addiction is still there

I think there is lot of people like you here, not newbies only. Personally, I can tell about myself that I'm also addicted. But instead of reading articles, listening podcasts, checking charts, I'm just scrolling here on Bitcointalk like on Facebook. I don't know how many times I check Bitcointalk daily, but sometimes I feel that I don't spend my time in most effective way. When I see how other peoppe are going deeply into all these things, I feel like a noob in crypto Cheesy.
And being addicted too much isn't good thing. Don't forget your family, friends and all things outside crypto.

The crypto community is currently very growing and many new enthusiasts want to increase their crypto knowledge by being "addicted" to the latest crypto news updates. I don't see any mistakes in this, but it's better to be active in the experienced crypto community than to be self-taught.

In the beginning, I was like that, but I realized that it is not good or healthy, both for me and my family.
Crypto is still an important part of my life, but I treat it like a job, and I don’t let it manage my life.
I dedicate a certain amount of time to crypto and after that I dedicate myself to family and other private things.
I think balance in life is very important and there is no need to exaggerate in anything.
Trust me, nothing will change significantly and you will not lose anything if you dedicate part of your time to other interests in your life  Grin

I'm in crypto since my account was created (check my profile Grin) and did even mining on my GPU back then. Crypto Trading has massively evolved since back then. Remember trading on btc-e and mtgox.

I think it's not addiction, when you are in crypto monitoring is very important because you don't know what is going to happen, I have seen my friends awake day and night because they are doing their research on a certain coin, and for me, it's normal, if you invest on money, you have to be very careful spending it, because it can make you a millionaire in minutes or hours, but I can make you broke for a lifetime, I do the same thing when I'm monitoring or looking for a good entry, for a certain coin or token.

If that addiction doesn't bother you to function normally in everyday life, I don't see anything wrong with that - but if someone needs to check something 24/7, then I think you have a problem. I don't know how long you've been in crypto, maybe it's just beginner's euphoria - but for everything you do in life you need to set some limits, because those who don't do it on time can fall over the edge, and it's not easy to go back.

I have my time for crypto, time for work, time for my hobbies and of course time for sleep - if everything is arranged properly there are no problems Smiley

We don't know his personal life but hopefully, he's doing just fine. But even us, who have been here for years in crypto, the first thing most of us do in the morning is to check the crypto market. It is like our everyday routine. But I do agree, that he should have other means of income as you are not really 100% sure in crypto trading alone or other activities that he can devote his time to.

The greatest enemy in crypto is greediness yes you heard me right many people who tend to be too close to crypto as a newbie always end up making the wrong decision, I hope you are different from this, if you plan on investing make sure you have a target and once that target is meet make sure you take your profits, don't let your addiction fool you that's all.

I hope you have another source of income than depending entirely on trading. Besides that, you also need to care about your social factors. Money is not everything.

-snip-
these are the people who panic seeing the blood in the market and sell coins in a lower price and buy again when it is up.
Exactly, I think like you. Trader types like @op will tend to execute orders in fomo mode. Cellular devices do not allow the technical analysis to be carried out freely. It is recommended that @Op change your trading strategy to investment if you don't have the tools that support being an active trader.

And from what I have learnt, these are the people who panic seeing the blood in the market and sell coins in a lower price and buy again when it is up.
I have been in crypto for 4/5 years. This is the first bull run I'm active. I was kind of newbie in 2018 bull season. I used to check my portfolio most of the times of the day but that doesn’t mean I have been addicted. I only check when it’s necessary to check.
