Welcome!

There's a lot of resources. Ethereum and Litecoin both have their own forums that you should add to your regular reading.

Here's a pricing resource: https://bitcoinwisdom.com/

The CryptoTrader mobile app is the shit, consolidates pricing of multiple coins in multiple conversion (fiat, crypto), across multiple exchanges with really tight pricing data and charts. The pricing charts are dynamic and you can look at trends down to as narrow as 5 minute pricing intervals. It's crazy.

For news you should start with Coin Desk. Here's a link to there site that goes beyond BTC and ETCH...the "Other Public Protocols" page: http://www.coindesk.com/category/markets-news/markets-markets-news/markets-news-other-public-protocols/

I would't recommend starting from trading any just-to-the-market coins or others with low liquidity and high volatility.

Just for the beginners, these are some good tips:
http://cryptopotato.com/8-must-read-tips-trading-bitcoin-altcoins/
https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/pump-dump-know-signs-trading-altcoins/
https://www.deepdotweb.com/2017/04/30/tutorial-altcoin-flipping-cryptocurrency-trading-strategies-always-win/

And, if you are not very aware about the whole concept of the assets you are going to trade, thatn pay some attention to this "for dummies" information about Bitcoin and how it works. It will be valuable to understand some fundamentals of cryptocurrencies before investing in this field.

This site is actually a good start if you want to learn more about bitcoins and altcoins, but for trading or alternate coins you have to do your own digging and research about what specific coins you are eyeing for. I actually learned some from here then went to the coinmarketcap website and searched for the top 20 coins when I first started trading a few months back, one by one I actually did my own research on those coins and see if they have future possibilities and so on and so forth.

If you want to study the tech analysis and aspects of trading, there are so many good books. It is not necessary to look for a technical analysis of the Bitcoin. A lot of qualitative literature is written for the analysis of traditional financial instruments.
"Technical Analysis Explained," by Martin Pring
"How to Make Money in Stocks," by William O'Neill
"Japanese Candlestick Charting Techniques," by Steve Nison
"Encyclopedia of Chart Patterns," by Thomas Bulkowski
"Technical Analysis Using Multiple Timeframes," by Brian Shannon
I think that if a person has studied the aspects of trading in the financial markets as a whole, it will not matter for him to trade Bitcoin or shares. Good luck!

If I may.......I'm still relatively new to this although I have been researching in my spare time for a number of years now.

My advice would be to buy 10 dollars worth of BC and then do a lot of math while watching and learning the charts. Just focus on that for a year or so until you get the financials down to a science.

I am looking for new projects for investment. Any tips?

Are you genuinely new or do you already have an account here and this is just a "post count" thought?

You'll get further around here if you look around all the different boards. The information you need is probably out there, you just gotta find it.

For new projects, check out the Project Development board here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=12.0]

For investments, check out the Investments board here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=78.0

And one opinion comment here, I always get confused when people ask "what should I invest my Bitcoin in?!" Bitcoin IS the investment...the price of Bitcoin has increased more this year than any other honest public investment available in the world. Buy Bitcoin. Let it sit there. Then buy some more. And once you've had your fill, consider Litecoin or Ethereum or another alt coin.

Good luck to you.
