It is a fact that most senior members here got their rank base on  them been here but not on merit since most of them post which add nothing to the forum but shitposts. Since you have been here for long doesn't mean you are knowledgeable than a newbie that registered today.

There never is a guarantee that someone is more knowledgeable than someone else just because he invested more time in something (or spent more time on it).But there is a positive correlation.

guidance for beginners is needed because without it all will not go smoothly in running what is in bitcoin .for smooth for its special beginner I myself is very necessary to get guidance
They decide on their own on what to do so we don't have choice but seniors can advice to lower ranks on what's best to do in forum.

I became more aware on what Bitcoin is capable of doing even at times like this where market is not that really stable.
This topic is nowhere related to btc and market status. My friend as a newbie i advise you to focus in what you are reading cause this might lead you to be labelled as a spammer. Try to read topics here and study and eventually you will rank up, don't be in a hurry trust me it would not help.

If you look at the off topic section it is just horrible with people trying to post quickly with bad posts. That's because they are newbies. So having a limit here helps.

Right, and one way to prove that is to earn merits -> rank up. Which you have already done, congratulations. The system is working and proving that we don't "treat all low ranking members as shitposters".

Thanks for this healthy debate atleast i have raised my opinion now and hope that newbies will learn from this.

Implementing merit system is beneficial not only to this forum but as well to all members who are now required to make a quality post rather than a non sense post for activities or signature campaign. Again, my only point here is not to treat all low ranking members as shitposters for we are different person with different perspective.

Im actually not digging in your merit history it just happened that i saw it. 5 merits for a simple reply is too much, well that is just my opinion.

A couple of months ago I was told by theymos to increase merit spending per post. 5 merits is the minimum I spend now, up to 10-20 in some cases. Again, nothing to see here.

By the way how about those legendary who post shitty stuff? The ones with so many negatives trust in their names? Would you allow them to post in any boards?

We have to draw the line somewhere and rank (which in turn depends on merit) seems to be a reasonably good criteria and easy to implement. There will always be shitposters in any rank but I'd rather report an occasional legendary shitpost than the vast amounts from the lower ranks. There are still many boards without any restrictions.

Trust has nothing to do with post quality.

Well if theymos is the one who told you to do that then i apologize.

How is it "demoralizing" to have limited access to one board?

Here are examples of three latest threads started by Jr. Members on this board:

"How to Get 100% Success in Your Life" - somewhat passable English but no spell-checking - how hard could that possibly be?
"How how to will get to know course of cryptocurrency in a dream?" - horrible English, barely comprehensible
"how to reduce scam projects" - complete garbage, machine-translated

That's not even getting into the "seriousness" of corny self-help or conscious dream topics. I think these belong in Off Topic or the trashcan.

That's why im saying that he/she claimed that all jr.members are posting irrelevant or low level post here meaning he/she is “GENERALIZING” to be honest there is a lot of legendary who posted shitty stuff in this forum but i'm not generalizing.

That doesn't address anything I stated in my post nor does it answer the question - how is it "demoralizing" to have limited access to one board?

This generalization seems to be quite applicable to the quality of posts we seem to be getting from Jr. Members here, and those who are better than average should have no problems ranking up to Member.

By the way whats your purpose for giving this reply 5 merits? Is it just a common reply?

It's a reply that is accurate and succinct. The kind of post the merit system is for. Being "common" is irrelevant. Stop derailing your own thread by digging into my merit history, this will lead you nowhere very quickly.

Rank isn't equal with their knowledge, i've seen few members with lower rank, but have better technical knowledge than i do.

I agree with you that knowledge should not be measured by rank

Hi i just want to raise my opinion about low rank members here in forum. I just crossed a post stating that he/she intended to make a request regarding posting in serious discussion board. Well that legendary claim that all jr.member here makes a low level post, that's why he/she wants to suggest that only members and above ranks can post here. I disagree with his/her opinion knowing not all low level ranks makes thrash and shitty post. I admit that im not an expert regarding blockchain technology but i assure you that my stay here in this forum for almost 2 months helps me learned a lot about cryptocurrency and its features. I believe that being a hero member or legendary is a great achievement but you must not look down on other members. This forum served as a school of crypto and those high ranking members should be like a teacher to newbies and other low ranking members. We need guidance and demoralizing us is not a way to help this forum. Just like in school sometimes some students need to have a part time cause they need money so there is no difference being here and joining bounties. One more thing if those high ranking members are so problematic about this forum becoming a home for shitty posters and money related forum well i think its better if staff will implement KYC to all members to easily reduce multiple and fake accounts.
