So have the winners been decided yet? Was on the verge if sending an application myself but could not possibly submit one that was ready before the deadline. Nonetheless it would be interesting to see the projects that succeeded in getting the grants... and the follow ups!

The correct link is http://belacoin.org/invest. Alternatively, if that does not work for whatever reason, you can find the site from our homepage at http://Belacoin.org.

I'm not sure about what you can do with $500 at all. Is it enough to develop a project from scratch? I don't think so, especially when it can't even sustain you for a week living. I personally think that Belacoin is providing too little incentive.

Just my two cents, might still be people who would participate but I would say that the quality of the projects would be substantially worse than if you guys had paid a better bounty.
yeah right, it seems you have to consider the $ 500 you have to be very detrimental to your project if it is more than you think. it did not seem nyampe for the future.

The application for the project is still open? Do you need those 3 entrepreneurs? I'm asking because the deadline is 5 January.

The application is still open. It will close on January 5th. $500 can go a long way when your business expenses are not much more than website hosting and marketing. Assuming the entrepreneur programs some Belacoin service from scratch, he could purchase a year's worth of website hosting for $70 and then have $430 remaining to put towards user acquisition. By then, his service should be stable and getting organic growth, allowing for further expansion.

$500 should be more than enough to get started and will be a major help in the hands of someone who knows how to get things done in an effective manner.

Good to see The Ambia Fund has stuck with Belacoin and continues to encourage usage and development. You have made Belacoin an interesting crypto project and well worth keeping an eye on. It's hard out there in the alt world when BTC is so prominent. Maybe one of the business ideas proposed will be the killer app, ya just never know... Good Luck and keep up the good work...

We thank you for your support! There was a lot of skepticism back in early November about us, but after turning out working wallets, going through the redesign, and continuing to plan and follow through on new projects, we think people are just now beginning to recognize the hard work that we and the rest of the Belacoin community are doing. We're excited about the business ideas that have been entered, and we do look forward to seeing more.

We would love to see your application! Much fewer people enter things like this than you would think, so you all stand a good chance of being one of the selected entrepreneurs.

@equator, we would love to see his application!

@hoop, the money will be sent in Bitcoin (an amount equal to $500 at the time that we give the $500 grant). You will be required to use that money only for business expenses. For example, business expenses could be buying website hosting, paying a programmer, advertising, covering the fee of registering your business with your local government (if you choose to do so), etc.

Just a question: can the prize money be requested in alternative currencies or payment methods other than what is planned or is this fixed?

Currently, we are planning on paying in Bitcoin, but we don't see why we can't pay in some additional cryptocurrency if it is requested and reasonable.

Suggested Business Ideas Include
1) Any online business that uses Belacoin as payment
2) Sell a physical product, making a Belacoin brand (apparel, accessories, etc.)
3) A Belacoin faucet (probably should be unique in some way)

A Great Tip
Don't try to reinvent the wheel. Take a proven business idea and change it up just a little bit. Steemit found incredible success by taking Reddit's business model and adding cryptocurrency payments. They tweaked Reddit's business model, and it worked well.

With Belacam (our own project: http://www.ambiafund.com/Upload/Belacam.pdf), we're taking the Instagram business model and adding the ability to get paid Belacoin each time your photo gets liked. It is simple and follows a proven business model.

Think of a business you like, and think of how you can integrate Belacoin into that business. Then, you should have your own separate business idea, eligible for application!

Very nice and good idea of promoting your coin, I think one of my friend will be more interested from this offer as he wanted to start a online eCommerce shop with bitcoin but due to funds he was not able to do it, and your offer price is enough for him to start it.

will let you know in 1 days about his project

This is really a good offer. But the thing to consider is what we can do for 500$ . I think for this we must need a marketplace or trading type business.. do you have any suggestions like for what purpose we can use belacoin?
