According to the latest research data, the number of electronic money ATMs in Belgium and the Netherlands is increasing. Amsterdam is a leading city in the Benelux region, with 12 machines supporting digital coin transactions. Luxembourg, a traditional global financial center, is lagging behind in the availability of electronic money transactions. A number of electronic cash dispensers have been installed in Belgium and the Netherlands. In the last few years, Amsterdam has been the leading city. The biggest Dutch city may soon be famous for the number of 12 ATMs currently operating, according to a Statista report. At least two of them support both the buying and selling of electronic currencies such as bitcoin core (BTC), ethereum (ETH) and litecoin (LTC).
As of August 2018, Antwerp, the second most populous metropolitan area in Belgium, has three Bitcoin ATMs. Brussels, the capital of Belgium and Rotterdam, the second largest city in the Netherlands, both have two digital coin-operated devices. One of the Belgian machines, Coinatmradar, is just a buying device, offering users the opportunity to buy bitcoin cash (BCH) along with bitcoin core (BTC), ethereum (ETH) and litecoin (LTC).

Belgium has set a marvelous example. This is a milestone achievement. This will certainly enhance the scope of bitcoins as a part and parcel of the mainstream payment system. This indicates that the day is not far when Bitcoins will replace fiat currency as a conventional mode of payment. This is turning out to be true in the case of advanced economies but developing economies are still grappling with the idea of accepting Bitcoins as part of their economy. These developing economies are failing to understand the economic benefits of incorporating Bitcoins in their financial system.

I feel jealous of people living there now. There is no such atm in my country.  Even the government policy is not that good here. Government has still not been able to decide whether to make it legal or not.

I hope that soon, many bitcoin ATMs install in many countries and not just in Belgium so we can use bitcoin and we can directly convert bitcoin to our local fiat. And this is happening, then we can easily exchange for the money, and perhaps, there will be a store that allows us to use bitcoin to buy something in many places.

Actually, In Indonesia, it is already implemented, but since there is a government regulation that do not allow bitcoin to do transaction as a payment, then the ATM has been leaved for several places. Now in Indonesia, bitcoin is only an asset, we cannot use it as a payment to do transaction with it.

the cyptocurrency atm machine that is in Belgium now can be an inspiration for other countries that legalize cryptocurrency to be useful to make it easier for coin owners to make transactions as an easy way to use cryptocurrency.
You need to understand the next, most governments are not going to accept cryptocurrencies by their own will, they will have to be forced for them to do that, and the way to do it is that cryptocurrencies become so popular that even if governments wanted to ban them they will not be able to do it because almost everyone will be using them by then.

Tackling Climate Change Using Blockchain

I really don't know how true this is, but I feel this is what every country needs. We need to be technologically aware, and advanced at the same time. Imagine what the adoption of blockchain will do to the African market, and how it can boost the economy, create jobs, linkups to different other sectors too. If this is true that this country have about 8 Bitcoin ATM machines, then it's a welcome development.

that is very impressive because i think gradually the public is accepting bitcoin and in no time the real vision for which satoshi nakamoto created bitcoin will be implemented by using bitcoin in the purchase of items.

very surprising, Belgium with a calm country, which in my opinion the growth of bitcoin there is normal, now it has a bitcoin atm. Maybe there are lots of bitcoin hunters and investors, so atm is very necessary, and also the government there is very supportive of bitcoin. Hopefully this is not a hoax, and can affect other countries in legalizing bitcoin ... !!

Belgium has 8 ATMs in Bitcoin withdrawal activity this is good info. But if it only appears in Belgium, I believe this does not affect too much Cryptocurrency around the world. More countries are required to place ATM Bitcoins.

There’s a lot of bitcoin atm machines around the world, not just  Belgium. I think we also have it at least 2, and many more in some countries. This is the proof that this market is here to stay and we know it will continue to grow in the future.

That is great to hear more and more countries are installing bitcoin ATM in their cities. There are a couple of them in where I live but not that many people are using it to be fair. Still a good start though for marketing purpose.

It would be interesting to see some ATMs with low fees. All machines I know charge a high fee so that there is no advantage vs. an online exchange.
