A good study was done at UCLA recently and it is true that it is good for many things.

Best to have some black pepper with it also.

I have not tried consuming turmeric. Though my parents drinks it in powder form and puts it in a mug wiht hot water and honey. Many people claims it has very good effect in their metabolism and has improved their health. Though there are already studies about it, consuming it should be gradual and limited or atleast follow the correct recommended dosage especially if there might be a negative reaction on an individual’s body. As the old saying goes, ‘we are what we eat’.

I see turmeric in the market but never had an idea about its health benefits. Thanks for the info, guys.
Health really should be a priority nowadays and if this accessible ingredient can do so much for our bodies, then I'm all for it.

To get the full benefits of turmeric, it needs to be added to a fat.  The easiest is to add it to milk, or tea with cream.

Turmeric is a powerful spice. It contains high amounts of curcumin. This compound will help detoxify the liver as well as control blood sugar. Other benefits like anti-oxidant effects combating free radicals, blood thinner( dont take turmeric if you are taking blood thinning effects like aspirin, warfarin etc) combats alzhimer, helps cure gastric problems. Take turmeric combined with pinch of black pepper to enhance its effects.
