There are a couple on YouTube that I watched. Can't expect much from the flares, maybe 11-20 feet, 2-3 second burn time. Maybe good for signaling people looking in your general direction, starting fires. The blanks for starter pistol use (even though there are cheaper starter pistols out there).

Looks like it. I found my exact model and case on the site http://www.pinfireguns.com/product_info.php/cPath/52/products_id/117 , which goes for 180 $ and theirs even has a damaged keychain, while mine is still complete. I'll be damned. I'd never have expected that.
