Only pumpers and developers making good money from alt coins. For long term investors, most of the alt coins get hit badly.

Long term I'd say 99% it the alts have been big-time losers.  You try to get out after a big run and store some of that wealth in Bitcoin while trying to find the next big alt.  With the exception of a few alts I would never store any money in alts for the longer term.

If that's the case then how come we don't stumble across more rich pumpers?  I think maybe they get lucky on a few pumps and lose it on others.

I suspect the rich alternate holders are developers with huge premines or who bought into advantageous IPOs.

Is there some kind of community agreement

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

lol, I'm glad you thought that was funny.  I suppose it was a bit naive for me to think there was such a thing.  Lol.

Is there some kind of community agreement on what the best alt coin investment would be in 2014?  I would love to hear that instead of 500 opinions?  Much appreciated.

I doubt there is even agreement what actually best alt coin investment mean.

Is it the alt coin with the highest possible % increase in market cap (but if you miss sell before the dump period your fucked anyway), or you preffer the one with lowest likelihood to be dead after few years...

Sadly, that's what I was afraid of.  So then you really cannot trust any of these people.  You have to do your own analysis but that's hard to do given there are no cash flows and no assets with these coins so you're investing in an idea or in the people behind them.  This sucks!   Undecided

Sorry, but you have to do your own research and due diligence even if you can trust someone. There are lots of people who are quite trustworthy in the wider world, but their investment advice isn't very good because they've made honest mistakes, or honestly omitted something they shouldn't have, etc, etc, etc....don't want to bore you Smiley ...

In 2014 the best coin will be Monero, this is the only coin at the moment which I'm confident that will increase its market cap by thousands of $.

Watch these tree NEM, EXO and NODE!

Bubbling under: FIMK  Cool

I'm not familiar with those - getting hard to keep up with all these new alts coming out daily now, but I'll check them out, you never know where the next quark lies.

That's my goal for this next boom, finding the next quark for a 2,000 fold return.  That's mind boggling to just think about.  lol.

Go back one page and find my post it's rather long, read it from start to Finnish, I'm trying to bring awareness to it, it's not a pump i intend to hold for at least 12 months maybe more, if i dumped now i would walk away with plenty, but XC is something special, just read about it if you haven't already OFC, good luck there's lots of scams out there, I'm actually giving you information on something that has massive potential and a bright future, do as you wish with the information.

I saw that page and it's good but personally and I imagine most newbies are looking for a coin which is cheaper which has the chance for a larger return.  Maybe XC is good for more stable returns which has it's place on any portfolio .

Cheers!

In the future any coin can be 100% anon since this is all copy and paste.

But really, in the future only the Feds will have the option to use 100% anon.

Or do you guys think they're replacing anon paper cash with 100% Trackable crypto so they can empower the people?  Haha!
XC is not a copy and paste it's built from the ground up.

I will vote for stellar

From what I've read so far stellar is nothing more than ripple 2.0.  Same guys same massive premine and same enrichment of insiders with massive dilution.  I'd buy some for speculation but not because I believe in it cause it's no better than paper fiat.

I prefer coins with way less dilution and little to no premine.
