NXT is your best bet, DRK will be interesting to see how it plays out

Nxt is going to be a long-term play, IMHO. I'm guesstimating a timeframe of ~3 years before it pays off big-time.

+1
So many people here looking for a quick buck, i can wait, im in it for the long run.
Im giving NXT 5 years to see any significant gain, and who knows where we will be in 10 years! Its pretty exciting stuff.

For now I have only been invested in DRK and will probably advice investing in that only.
Apart from that I am excited to see what Ethereum has to offer.

Not the only place either  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Links to the real videos below

1000NXT to anyone who can find these youtube videos as they are presented here, I.e outing Nxt as a scam. go!  Cheesy

My money is safe as

1) after more than a year of continuous development producing ground breaking software, it's not a scam

2) those are photoshopped images of the original videos  Cheesy Cheesy the top one is Taizen, who goes by the name Prisoner Or Freedom and talks about how Nxt isn't a scam... not that anyone but the most ill informed thinks it would be. Check it out for yourself here: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3rIO_McRPwQ

Ssme story for the second video.

You're getting desperate Taunsew/Utopianfuture!! Cheesy  what is wrong, NEM release around the corner and you think it's gonna flop?

Did anyone already say NXT ?

It's spelt NxT

Besides it's an outted scam

Hahahahhaa!
These videos explain why Nxt ISN'T a scam, and you photoshopped them, because you didn't find any video that supports your accusations??  Cheesy

Why would you want to stoop so low to lie and fake photos?

Could be BitShares - BTS.

Why?

Among other reasons:

Market pegged assets: BitUSD, BitCNY, BitEURO, BitGOLD, BitSILVER, BitBTC. Avoid volatility, pay, accept familiar value assets.
Bullish with BTS? You can 'create' BitUSD and short it.

Under 10 sec confirmation time: Good start for a decentralized exchange with trading on the blockchain.

Developing efforts are closing on 1.0 client release (currently 0.6.2) which would see a
smooth user experience client and the supporting ecosystem (gateways, bridges etc).

DRK would be good. I don't have any, but I may put some money in.

BTC is always the big kahuna. I would stay away from LTC.

I was looking at AeroME, they seem to be working on something for March.

wow HZ seems like a pure copy cat of nxt.... question i have is why would any established asset on nxt AE or any serious asset want to hop onto HZ? which could very well just die due to low adoption rates? i can foresee bitcoin clones as btc only established itself in the currency coin arena while all other altcoins innovated on top of it. but having that nxt encompasses so many different sectors, i'd imagine it would be hard to compete with if everyone is already using nxt for its core features.

I agree.
I cant see anything unique about Horizon other than their message that its got more fair distribution...

Horizon HZ!

I have to agree. With Qora stuck with developer problems, BURST "hibernating" and virtually all of the other Nxt clones either dead or close to irrelevant, Horizon (HZ) is well in place to be the main Nxt clone. Thanks to the NFD merger, HZ has a dev team that's both good with the basics and much more innovative than, say, Litecoin. Wink The AT feature that BURST boasts is getting a thorough overhaul and improvement. HZ has a huge number of nodes: only Bitcoin has more.

As a beneficiary of the merger, I got a lot of HZ. I have not sold a single one of them. In fact, I bought about 300'000 more recently. Call me a bagholder if you like, but the above does show that I'm putting my Bitcoin where my keyboard is. I used to HODL NFD; now, I'm HODLing HZ. I'm stubborn that way. Grin

Nxt itself is well in place to be the Bitcoin of the crypto-2.0 universe. If you want to play the 2.0 trend long-term, Nxt is the safer choice. I've found that a buy when Nxt is >5000 satoshis [it's there now] puts you in the bargain zone of Nxt's long-term trading range. But HZ will give you a "leverage" kicker because its price is much lower than Nxt's. As I said above, it's well in place to be the #1 alternative to Nxt itself. If Nxt rockets to the proverbial moon, the usual swarm of punters will be looking for a "just as good" lower-priced alternative....

That said, HZ is a long-term dealie. The largest profit I ever made on a penny stock, I got by holding a gold junior that went nowhere for more than a year. The Bitcoiners who got rich are the ones who roared, "I'll never sell!" and stuck with that. True, they rode the bubble down as well as up...but the ones who got in at <$100 are still sitting on nice gains. The early adopters who got in at <$10...well, you can do the math. The way to play HZ, in my admittedly in-the-tank opinion, is to: buy; HODL; wait; keep HODLing; find something to distract yourself with while you're waiting. Smiley

But...you really shouldn't take my word on this. Have a visit to HZ's official thread and read up on it before deciding.

Horizon HZ!

Why? We have an amazing dedicated team that constantly works on improving the value, combined with an extremely low price and a nice amount of liquidity. This was the first NXT clone and it was created with node based distribution rather than an ICO, and has been around for about a year, not a fly by night operation, but one that keeps building new partnerships and bringing in new talent. The charts are fairly clear, and most people that own it now are in for the long haul, and for cryptos, this is one of the safer bets. During the distribution period you can also gain 10% annually, and of course you can also forge. Best of all, you don't even have to log in, you hold HZ in your wallet, you get paid the distribution bounties daily.

A good coin to invest is one that has very low value but a decent trading volume, active devs, good name, fair distribution, fast transfertime, POS and a proper wallet.

To have a good chance to make some quick bucks this year i would say that Mintcoin is a pretty good bet. It's undervalued and still very active.
Got a few million to play with and a few million that keeps on minting.

Also look at the sell positions most people don't keep their coins on a trading market so a few BTC invested can make a lot of difference.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-mint-mintcoin-pos-5-no-ico-fair-distro-community-maintained-450381

Been observing this for quite some time now ever since it was launched last year and although initially I thought of diversifying my coins to hold some of it, but later due to certain reason especially after having seen altcoins going down one by one, I changed my mind. Also the community behind it is quite strong but the price has since dived from its initial high during the launch period. Any reason why price is again going up in February 2015?

No real reason exept for it being undervalued. A lot of people have been buying low and the community seems to hold the larger sum of their coins hoping for mint to get a serious contender in the top ten of crypto again. It's a coin that's gonna be played with a lot.
Also there's a lot of work going on but the new website isn't working 100% yet http://www.mintcoinofficial.com/

But what about PEPPERMintcoin?

People associate Mintcoin with Mintpal that's not good, launched in the same period. Is there any relation at all?
They could have rebranded long ago.

Mintpal has never been connected to mintcoin but because they both appeared roughly on the same date many people assumed that both were connected.
Rebranding your name because some other company roughly used the same name seems stupid to me. If the would have rebranded mintcoin i would have had doubts if they were connected to mintpal Wink

Did you make that image using LaTeX and pstricks?  Or some other graphing package?  I'm just curious because I think I recognize some hallmarks of pstricks which I haven't thought about in a long time.
