Always on paper!! Never trust programs and especially never use any online ones. No one can hack paper and you can store it in a safe or something. Look at the past password managers that have histories of hackers breaking in and getting passwords. Paper is the best way to protect yourself, across all the platforms. That's also why paper wallets are the best too if you're going to be doing a long airdrop or are planning on hodling for a very long time and don't want to touch the coins while having max security. Don't risk it!
This is something I agree, many people let themselves be blinded by new technology, but the truth is that many times an old approach is sometimes the best, hackers cannot hack your password if you write them down in a piece of paper, at that point the only thing you have to worry is if someone gets access to that paper, but you can encrypt it too or you can simply store it in a safe or you can remember the password and destroy the piece of paper.
Even on paper wallet doesnt really mean that it is already 100% safe on our side even on those kind of securing will still have the risk on losing it knowing that inks would really fade out specially on a long period of time or you might forget the password of your safe and might that paper wallet would be eaten by a mouse or even misplaced since we are talking on long term here.
The risks are infinite, but an electrum seed has only twelve common words even if a person is not very smart the repetition of those words over and over again will make him remember that seed, so in that case you will not need to write anything in a piece of paper, of course there are risks with such a strategy but we need to find ways to combat the hackers and the ways they use to steal our coins.

The safest way that I can think of is never put or store it in any pc or devices that can be hacked. For expample, you wrote in your notes that only you can access or that is hidden well inside your room or closet.

I think the best and safest eay to store ypur password/s is to keep it on a blank sheet of paper and make it sure also that you have even three or four backup to that so that in case one of its copy is gone or you've forgot it, ypu will not be in vain in case you badly need or the password is that important to you. You can keep it on your bag, in your things but make sure make it bold to see and it should not be put in messy things it gonna be a problem or you can pin it somewhere in your home wherein you remember it the most. I just recommend this one because I know some apps out there are not really good to trust.

Can not be denied again that the password is very important to secure our account, the best way to make safe is to frequently change the password, do not save the password on the computer and make a password that is easy to guess.

There is always a risk in storing our passwords online or in any app. The best way is writing down in the piece of paper and keep it in a safe place. However if we are too lazy to write down then maybe in an email is still good. You can access it wherever you are. But still there will always be a risk online.

Hello

Does anyone know or can reccomend the best way to store passwords? Is there a program you can use or a way to encrypt a file with all your passwords on it?

Thanks
The safest way to store password is to write it in an organizer. There are free encryption key out there but I it doesn't guarantee that your password is safe from hackers. They have their own way to Crack the program.

That is right. It is safest to write down very important information such as passwords, private keys, pins, and the like. Anything saved online is not as safe as compared to writing them down on a piece of paper. Hackers can get into almost all electronic gadgets, most especially because we are using the internet. They are always lurking around.

I stored all of my private keys and wallet address in my email thru gmail.com using 2FA so that whenever i go i could use my private keys safely and instantly because before you access the email it will require our passwords and codes that to be send to our cellphone device that once you dont have the code it is impossible to open your email so it is important that my passwords will properly keep in my mind and my cellphone will not be lost because both are needed to open the email. I fully trust gmail because they have already earned their good reputation.

I save my password in notepad on my computer I don't think if that safe. There is nothing safe way to store the password the most effective way to avoid hackers is always to change the password every month or every week.

I use the notepad on my phone to store all my passwords since storing it in pc is not that safe as those programs might leak information about the password in the background.
Besides, I have my phone always with me so I can use it anytime and the chances of it being stolen from me is low. But if it did got stolen, I have an SD card dedicated solely to password storage and updates it every two weeks

I store my crypto passwords in Keepass and store it on a USB stick, whenever I need the passwords for something I just pop it in and get whatever password I need. The Keepass file has a password that I don't use anywhere else, I keep some copies of the keepass file laying around in case the USB stick breaks.

Kind of a pain in the ass (although not anymore since I very rarely add new passwords to it), but I'm really not willing to write down passwords in a notebook (although that's literally the most secure way to store them).

For me . Im just using notepad in all my passwords. Im paste it in the notepad then hide the notepad in my pc. When i needee again the passwords , i just unhide it and the hide again to provide safety in my passwords. It think its up to you to know the best way to save your password and if you know its safe the do it. You have to trust yourself and dont give your passwords in anyone to avoid bad happenings.

As for me, Always store you passwords on paper. Do not always trust programs with your passwords. And never use any online ones. No one can hack your paper and you can also store it in a safe place anytime. That is why, paper wallets are the best way too in storing passwords safely.
