With a 1000 bucks i would go for either some second hands 3x S5 with PSU
Or get a SP Jackson with PSU.

However don't forget to calculate your earnings.

Either a couple of antminer S3's or antminer s5's.
I know spondoolies tech made good hardrware but I am with bitmain since day 1 and I know their hardware is one of the best, maybe even the best.

I have done pretty well with decent electricity and selling gear.

yes, maybe because you have cheap electricity, secure location for miners and time for selling, packaging and sending your mining gear.

I don't have anything from this, but really...if you want to put 1000$ to Bitcoin, buy them directly instead of some stupid mining ideas. and this is valid I would say for majority of board users..

Yes... but at one time did not have some of it.  I invested in making a mining area instead of doing the put some in each room.  It was not free... it was a investment.  there is nothing to stop you from having one to just upfront costs.   My main factor is i needed it for cooling for summer, now I can do lot's of CFM's and cool in summer.

On packaging on mining gear... keep the boxes they send it to you in.  It's that simple I don't invest in new boxes and packing that would be stupid.  I have a system where I keep original boxing and when I sell I use the same boxing it was sent to me in.

The best BTC mining rig for $1000 is the one that you don't buy.

Lol ☺

believe or not, this is what I learned here and it take me couple of years. You know it now. enjoy:)

I would agree it's getting harder and harder.   But I would not say year's.   I have done pretty well with decent electricity and selling gear.

This generation has a big jump in difficulty multiple times.  So will be interesting value of BTC in a few months.   I really hope we get a few good bumps in value.

Mining rig?? U re about 3 years late for this. ATM, the only thing worth of mining s etherum and even that s about to stop once it goes PoS. So yes, if u do want to mine, go cloud with Hashnest or contact me for a better option.

I do not sell anything but I do ask for people to use my ref link in exchange for that info.

best mining rig for 1k $ is to buy BTC with it and wait:)

This applies when the difficulty goes up very fast, say 10% every adjustment. There are too many hashing power coming.

I'm not very smart on mining although I started doing it in 2012 and stopped for a while but I have about $1000 on amazon so I would like to know what you people think would be the best bang for my buck on a mining rig from amazon for around $1000 I can go a lil over aswell. BTW: I won't be paying in electricity bills if that helps. Thanks in advance.

Since 2012 many things have been changed, as some here i also suggest S5+ or an S7
You can mine directly but also rent that hash power but you still will make profit good luck

my advice would be TO buy bitcoins and turn them into hash with hashnest (or their pacmic invest plan) ... no other work or fees required, just earn shares profit
I really don't trust those cloud mining websites, if I no longer want them can I sell them for bitcoins possibly?

Yes, you can trade your hash power in market anytime.

If you don'the trust it go to Cex.io site has a good reputation and security.

amazon you will overpay for a miner. can you withdraw the 1000$? you can buy the S7 currently for around 1000$ without shipping added.
I can do that, but is it worth buying the S7?

yeah it's the best option right now, great efficiency, less pace needed, less psu needed etc...although reaching roi will be still hard

Hashnest is legit.  It's ran by bitmain which produce the Antminers and is the best option for cloud mining, Hashnest is basically like the stock market of bitcoin mining.  You can buy hash of a specific miner type on the market and earn profits from that miner as long as you like.  Once you want to sell your hash power you put it on the market and when a matching bid comes then you get your bitcoins.  Its a good solution I use it and really like it for being able to trade just remember its a open market and prices depend on market forces.

I can't really recommend a miner being all you could afford would be 2 S5 antminers and with difficulty you would need some cheap electric to make it worth while and even then the amount you will earn is rapidly decreasing.

Hasnest is not bad if looking for a cloud option, it's the most popular there is if you do want cloud.  I would agree pacmic on current is kinda a low return.

I still do a lot with physical mines though.  I really like having it and tinkering.  That is part of what makes me love mining.
