I'm looking for a site which is similar to btcjam but with less interest and longer payback time.

There is Bitfinex as far as I know and Loanbase (AKA BitcoinLendingClub) , however it doesn't matter what platform you are used , you will most likely get scammed (maybe not the first time or the second , but eventually you will ... ) lenders aren't really protected and companies won't give you your BTC back so if you want to be sure then just lend or borrow BTC on Bitcointalk since there is collateral available .

Bitfinex wouldn't work here, because the loans are internal to the exchange - they're loans to traders wanting to "short" BTC (i.e. sell BTC for dollars or LTC, in expectation that BTC will fall and they'll be able to buy BTC later at a lower price to repay the loan). From a lending perspective, though, I'm becoming more and more surprised that lenders rate BTCJam but won't seem to go near Bitfinex - Bitfinex absorbs the counterparty risk, so it's (IMO) much safer than BTCJam etc where the lender risks the borrower defaulting. (Obviously there's still exchange risk - the risk that Bitfinex becomes MtGox 2.0).

(Disclaimer: I'm not currently lending - on Bitfinex or elsewhere - but I've made loans on Bitfinex in the past. Also right here on BCT, but that's going back several years).

How about Bitlend.io? This is a new operation from the nice fellows who implemented the GAW & Paycoin fraud operations for Josh Garza. And it is headed by the guy leading the 475+ victim lawsuit against GAW/Garza, D. Allen Shinners. I am not kidding, the guy actually hired some of the guys directly responsible for the GAW/Paycoin fraud that he is supposedly suing over.

Enjoy!

Kinda iffy about using these new lending sites. And as you said, the ones who are running this are part of the GAW Miners and Paycoin scam. I feel so much sarcasm in your post that I want to choke hard lol! But seriously, if BTCJam doesn't provide that much extensive customer protection for their users in case a borrower defaults, I think I'll just stick around finding some fast work like fiverr than to borrow or lend money on p2p lending sites.

What do I need for collateral? Example...

Sometimes, lenders often ask for a collateral that's worth more than what the borrower ask for, so that the lender will still profit from the loan even if the one who asked for the loan defaulted.

Collateral is something valuable that you can give to the lender if you did not pay the loan in time Wink

Usually the collateral will be holded by trusted third party during your time of loaning

Hope this helps Smiley

BTCJam is the leading Bitcoin lending site beside Bitcointalk. I doubt you will ever find a Bitcoin lending site with less interest and longer time limit. If you ever find one that can be trusted, tell us.

BTCJam and bitcoinlendingclub which is now loanbase asks for a lot of requirements for a loan, while in this forum, you can ask for a loan with just a collateral. It's even easy to ask to extend your loan.

With your current trust, you aren't going to get a loan on the lending section here.

You can try loanbase, but they have a lot of verification stuff and you need to give them all of your identity info just to get a loan.

Since I can't see anything that BTCJam will do if in case a user defaults, then I probably recommend searching for loans here in this forum. Also, be aware that terms here are rather different than those in BTCJam, plus most of the time, you need a valid collateral before asking for a loan. Too hard to trust random internet people with your money in hopes of repaying you back nowadays.

I think here.

Many people don't pay for BTCjam loans because the lender thinks he is protected, but he will need to sue the other part with his own resources and BTC is gray judicial area, so the result will be uncertain too

Here we have less scams

TRUE!!! Its better to take loans from forum.... But you should have a valid collateral higher than that much amount... Otherwise no one will be willing to give you... Problem in BTCJAM is that you cant see the lenders or the loanee about whether he is trustworthy or not?? Here you can check with the trust rating below the account name...

Why do you need 2BTC loan anyway Huh
I suggest to go to btcjam, but don't try to default the loan there Smiley
Or maybe you could just give a valid collateral so people would give you loan Roll Eyes
