you have many options for bitcoin wallet and almost all of them can be the best (most secure) wallet as long as you make them secure enough.

if you can run a full node wallet and have no problem with downloading the whole blockchain, you can choose bitcoin-core or Armory.

if you want a light wallet (SPV) so that you don't have to download the whole blockchain you can choose one of the SPV wallets like MultiBit or Electrum (i like Electrum more)

any kind of wallet you choose , you have to protect it by password encryption, using it offline if possible, or install linux if you like it which is more secure than windows.

or if you want to keep your coins for long term in a secure place , create a secure paper wallet on an offline computer and send your coins there.

As far as security goes, stay away from online wallets. They have the right to close your account without reason and disclose your information to any 3rd party law enforcement for whatever reason. I just use the Bitcoin desktop client and keep the BTC I need secure in an offline unit. Pretty much fool proof.

Whatever Bitcoin wallet you choose, it is important to protect it from hacking.
By encrypting your passwords, backing up your wallet, and possibly using multi-signature you can ensure safety and security of your Bitcoins.

[Android} bitcoin-wallet is working on implementing CPFP ("Child Pays For Parent").

It could be the first wallet to provide a feature to "unstuck" unconfirmed transactions...

Hooray!!!!

Why not multibit, seems fast. For Android, I hear electrum is good.

Multibit will charge you extra fees to use their wallet. in other ways they force you to pay fee to the wallet devs in order to be able to send your transactions.
Electrum is much better.

Caveat about Multibit classic: the miner fee is fixed at .0001, so expect to wait in line for a long while if you plan to send coins.

another plus side for Electrum, because you can increase the amount of fee you include in your transaction very easily.

another electrum fan here.  also it doubles as a brain wallet, and you never have to back anything up except your seed.  the only drawback is people don't tip the servers enough, me included.  no good way to incentivize full nodes for now.

i do tip the servers sometimes. but checking some of their tip addresses i have to say people are not usually very generous with them , we gotta do it more to help them continue running this awesome service

Multibit is one of the best Bitcoin wallet out there, very easy to handle and you can have your private keys imported and exported if you want to move wallets to different machines. You should give Multibit a try.

I think the comparison chart on this site is a good start:
https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

No wallet is the best. It really depends on your needs

Yup agreed politely its depends on your needs no wallet perfect and best most important is keep your bitcoin still safe and by the way thanks for the site i new realize there so many wallet out there and have own function each of it Cheesy

yea agree, there are many wallet, which has their own specification, but you should go for which is more secure and recommended. like
1. Bitcoin Core
2. Electrum
3. Mycelium
4. Green Address

These are more secure and recommended wallet, Secondly see the above Note by admin

News: ♦♦♦ If you are using any wallet other than Bitcoin Core 0.10.x or 0.9.5, then you should not trust incoming transactions until they have ~30 confirmations. More info. (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/blockchain-split-of-4-july-2015-1108304)
