When people use " best " is because easy to get and price always up. Everyone have their own opinion but they realize market will say different. so don't be surprised. Depend on " easy to get " maybe we have a good strategy with trade and exchange, really nice profit I think. But depend on sentences " price always up " maybe is just because of supply and demand itself. Hope you'll find your best cryptocurrency and good luck.

You should pay attention to Dash - https://www.dash.org/. I'm not sure about low fees, but it is #6 cryptocurrency all over the world, so it's really liquid. More than that, it has special nodes called Masternodes which allow Dash to process transactions much faster than any other cryptocurrency.

best cryptocurrency for me is BTC, why? over-all if you look the potential of the coin, it has been widely accepted in most of markets. And also, most of my transactions are requiring btc by the way...so yeah, BTC for the win!

Bitcoin is slow and has extremely high transaction fees. LTC seems to be the best option overall.

"Bitcoin is slow" I'm not agree with you about bitcoin but LTC is best option right now for altcoin & i seem ethereum is another best option as well.

Seeing these high BTC tx fees there comes the question - which cryptocurrency is the most liquid, fastest and yet has lowest tx fees to move value around? Bitcoin doesn't serve as a good currency anymore.

I must prefer investing on monero. It is cheap in value when you buy but still, it has good market value. I think people are now interested on xmr as what other been attached on it. I go for monero or xmr.

My vote goes to Dogecoin. Now if we need to pay 0.001 BTC just for the fees when btc worth $1850, I think time has come to move to other cryptocurrencies. Dogecoin is perfect substitute considering demand, potential and most importantly low fees.

For those who used BTC as a currency for transactions, Doge and STEEM are very good option. But BTC is still a very good option to store my savings as well as accept it as a payment for my services. So BTC is the best cryptocurrency for me.

Doge and ltc I would say. Although you are in for a real up and down on either right now. Doge for awhile was pretty low and now trending around 60 to 70 satoshi. Ltc went from 38usd to something like 20 usd on some exchanges. I see today it was going back to around 24 and 25. Crazy to hold bags on ltc though. Such a rise and fall makes me not want to hold it right now.

I believe all the Altcoins mentioned above will love to have the problem Bitcoin is having. The issue with transaction fee is not particulat about BTC, Ethereum is about to be having this issue because the value of Ethers has gone up and miners have not reduced the fee.

None of the alternatives have a real scaling solution yet, they would all suffer the same problems bitcoin currently is if they had the same number of transactions. Ethereum has an adaptable block size which means full blocks are temporary but it doesn't solve the question of what happens if blocks get too big, meaning new scaling solutions will still be required.

That being said obviously since few people use alts for real usage they are a good alternative right now, and in reality it doesn't matter which you use as long as its one with a marketcap over 100 million$ and its not worth listing it since you can find it at coinmarketcap.com

To me Bitcoin is what Yahoo was before Google came around. At this point I'm not sure if the Google of cryptocurrency has revealed itself yet.

it depends on what you want to do!

if you want to purchase something online from a merchant or something, the only choice is bitcoin.
if you want to make a decent investment with least chance of losing money and a sure profit in long term then again bitcoin.
if you want the biggest market with the most liquidity, most number of exchanges and traders, then again it is bitcoin.
if you want to transfer money to someone else on the other side of the world you must use bitcoin because they would want to convert it back to fiat and they wouldn't be able to do with other altcoins most probably.

if you want the anonymity and want to do some stuff on the dark markets that are not so legal then you must use Monero.

if all you want to do is to do some little things like gamble and with a small amount then you can use Doge or LTC.

if you want to participate in the ICO scams and test your luck, then your only choice these days is buying Ethereum since these ICOs don't accept anything else.

waht do you mean the most liquid?

Least volatile against USD and has wide acceptance. For instance now that BTC tx fees are high and you want to quickly move BTC to small exchange, it may be less expensive to own LTC, move it fast to that exchange, sell it for BTC and buy your desired altcoin that will pump 10x  Grin However in order to sell LTC there needs to be as small spread between bids and asks as possible, otherwise BTC tx may still be more cheap way to transfer money. Additionally, if you switch to holding LTC, you don't want it to be too volatile, so you don't lose value for holding it long term.

Yes, BTC is still the most liquid, however it loses its appeal because not only BTC is very slow, it's becoming impractical because of high tx fees.

i would say that Bitcoin isn't the best cryptocoin, its just that its value is high, they might be other altcoins which are better than Bitcoin
