~snip~

gambling site that uses etherium and other cryptos are i think different from the gambling site that is all out built within etherium blockchain  . eth based gambling site could offer different functions and features that cant be seen on an eth supported gambling site  . for the people that loves and suppport eth that much he/she will prefer full featured eth casino site but he can choose different kind of this site depending on his preference because not all sites are good but there are bad sites too

I think it is almost the same for me because I don't think much about the complexity of the difference between those sites. When I gamble, I only think about the convenience of staying and playing at the gambling site, whether it's a gambling site based on ethereum or based on crypto. But I already said about the advantage and the disadvantage from each gambling site, and a gambler will select the gambling site based on what he feels. And perhaps, you choose the gambling website because of the other things that I don't know so that you can say like that. That is not a problem for me Grin

I think almost all gambling site which built around the Ethereum blockchain or using Ethereum technology will have the same function. I cannot say which site will be better or best compare to the other site because each site will have the advantage and disadvantage, and I guess that is related to our feeling to stay on that gambling website. If we don't feel right to play on one site, we can try the other website until we can find the right website, so we can play comfortably because we already found what we want.

You did properly I guess but there's something that lacks in that thread and that is an image of your platform. There's a way to do that if you purchase the Copper membership, you'll be allowed to post images with that.
And updates you do through that thread, it's also a good feature you can use by providing graphic materials to market it to the forum members.

The thread seems old already  I don't know why the owner doesn't buy the coppermember ship the first day he posted it . so, he can post images of the games in their announcement  thread or at least sample of how the gameplay works in their website.

I still prefer to use other popular crypto casino gambling sites That accept ETH payment.

Yes having an ANN is like marketing the casino as well. We would have to move to DAI or WETH when we play on them, its amount in USD that you have to bet. I'd be trying to bet later on Usman vs Masvidal.

I can only recommend using another ETH wallet where you can store some USD that you can afford to lose at least since logging to metamask with privatekey, is just not safe IMO.

WETH? You can't gamble there with real ETH? Wow I doubt they will be very successful if so, the more complicated it is to play the less the players are interested in...  Undecided

I remember I've had some ETH wallet from forkdelta that still have some few ETH. I logged with its privatekey just to find out what is inside degens and viola it does look very raw but functional. Just when you log they'd immediately want you to turn your ETH to DAI or WETH.  I wonder why they only accept WETH and DAI.

On the ranking, the degenerates are on the top 6th https://dappradar.com/rankings/protocol/eth/category/gambling still impressive I guess.

Their ANN thread mislead people, not quite a good marketing there.
Ok thank you for the information target. If they convert ETH automatically themselves then it's less complicated for players than I believed.

Interesting then so I suggest since the admin or staff representative is reading the conversation here in the forum, they have to consider making their own thread.
Not everyone visits medium and the forum, so dedicated forum users will just go to their ann thread to read every updates that they have.

Here is the announcement thread for Degens - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-degenscom-the-blockchain-sports-betting-exchange-5222499

Although the websites I prefer for gambling are not Ethereum infrastructure, I can give you some advice based on my research on the internet. First of all, I want to warn you that I have not used any of the websites I have mentioned here before, and I just got an idea about this subject in order to make this recommendation to you. Here are a few websites that I found out to be good and reliable as a result of my research;

- Funfair
- Degens
- EthexBet

I would like to remind you again, I have never used these services I have just mentioned as a result of my research.

Thanks for the tip. Honestly, these are among the best Ethereum-based gambling sites available on the industry. There doesn't seem to be much competition, since most people are focused on other gaming dApps and ERC-20 tokens. Ethereum's biggest use case scenario right now is Decentralized Finance (De-Fi). If ETH becomes scalable over time with PoS, plasma framework, and other upgrades, then the decentralized gambling industry might blossom like never before. I've played many gambling games on ETH, only to be troubled by its slow speeds and high fees at times. TRON and EOS, on the other hand, are near-instant and virtually free, making gambling a big hit on these chains.

Now that we have WBTC (Wrapped Bitcoin) on the ETH blockchain, it might be possible to gamble with Bitcoin right on Ethereum itself. This brings added convenience to everyday users as they convert their Bitcoin into Wrapped Bitcoin for use in any Ethereum-based gambling site. I'd expect the competition to become fierce over time, once the much-awaited PoS upgrade for ETH becomes a reality. Despite the hassles, I'd say that the aforementioned Ethereum-based gambling sites are loads of fun. I sometimes use faucet earnings to play one of these exciting games. But you'd to be careful about being greedy and spending life savings on these type of games. You could become bankrupt in a blink of an eye due to mismanagement of your finances. Just my thoughts Grin

Their ANN thread mislead people, not quite a good marketing there.

We do currently only accept DAI and WETH markets but do have the capability to support any ERC-20 token. The reason we only accept those coins is because we don't want liquidity scattered throughout multiple coins. But if there is sufficient demand for a specific coin, we could add it.

Also we received a generous grant from the MakerDAO Foundation, so we do try to drive DAI demand.

Sorry, how is the ANN thread misleading? I'm a noob on bitcointalk. What section should the ANN be in?

Thanks

It's not new, Degens has been live since 2017 on the ethereum mainnet.
This?
https://degens.com/
It's an Ethereum betting site. Surprisingly you have a lot of active people and seems that you have maintained your betting exchange properly. Don't you have your own announcement thread? because if you have, this will make you more familiar from the people of the forum.

I've read they were supported by MAKERDAO here https://medium.com/@Degens/degens-the-ethereum-betting-exchange-4004b99d4281
They were only using medium.com to announce their platform, if it does have an ANN thread, tokeweed might have learned and try them.

Its a great alternative for sportsbet.io and they have MMA too which is good, will just have to try it this july 12 fight

Ralle14 has posted the link of their ann thread on the previous page but the thread is in the Service Announcements (Altcoins) section since it's not a Bitcoin platform... Moderators seem to be very strict with that.

Ethereum based gambling sites are not popular and therefore I have never used them, no wonder the volume is also small. And if it is
like that it will be difficult to compete with non Ethereum based gambling sites, it should be Ethereum based gambling sites increase
promotion in order to increase the user.
They're less popular because most of the ethereum gambling threads are posted on the other board which only a few people check but there are still popular eth based casinos out there like ethercrash which is basically the ethereum counterpart of bustabit.

I've never heard of it before. It's a new betting exchange platform? There is already a dedicated thread somewhere in bitcointalk on it?
Probably a new betting site judging from their ann thread.
Thank you for the link

Bet's are largely made in DAI which is a stablecoin. It's possible to bet in WETH, but not very much liquidity as most people's preference is to bet in a coin that has little volatility.

Most of the gambling sites or even esports betting platform had already been adapting the new trends and that accepting altcoins as well. This is not new for it has been included already for a while.
This was already been done before, as we know the betting platforms now, they already accepting crypto because why not? most of people want their identity to be safe at all cost so they are choosing some decentralized coins to do their gambling and betting practices. More trends will be up in the near future as crypto is growing day by day.

However new trends nowadays was all about the binance exchange do a collaboration with a gambling platform. This will lead other exchanges also to collaborate new gambling sites. I guess it would be better to collaborate on establish gambling sites.
Binance collab with gambling platform? hmmm, I haven't see even one yet. But if that will be happening it won't be surprising at all coz we know how binance do their job to make their exchanges the greatest of all time. It won't be surprising too if they are going to launch a gambling platform.

Degens is a smart contract based sports betting exchange built on ethereum that you may want to check out.
It is okay to advertise your website and promote them but please try and avoid bumping a thread that was last posted in 1 year because the actual OP might not even be reading the comment and it's not worth it to anyways bump a old thread because the gambling discussion section is already pretty clogged up.

Talking about eth betting casinos I can recommend a few which I have used and never faced any issues with them.

- Stake : For sports betting and casino
- Primedice : only Casino.
- Sportsbet.io : sportsbook.
- Cloudbet: Some good live dealer games and sportsbook.

Those are really known sites. But for me as long as the casino site is reputable and at least relatively many players (it means they are doing their business right), there's no need to look for the best as long as they are provably fair, have license at least and their support team is fast, I would go for it.
