I have never used DirectBet before, because it looks ugly as fuck and I can't stand badly designed websites. 
Well you have to use them to become affiliates . AFAIK as long as you have visited the sites through someones affiliates link before then you are recorded as their affiliates for life. Could have been that you have visited this site on the past with someone's else link without noticing it
P.S : its weird how they claim to store the data for life, might shoot them a question for this soon
EDIT : come to think of it , I might have misinpertreted the meaning of that store for life thingie
