Both are a good choice, you can trade altcoins as well because there are a lot of altcoins and you will never be bored.
But, the the responsibility is bigger since you need to do a research for every coin or tokens you will be trading, this is to ensure a higher chance of success.

I would recommend you put a small portion of your btc holdings into new altcoins that have potential. it is common for new altcoins to multiply their initial value very quickly. Just look at ripple. it went up 100x in just a month.

I do not know exactly which investment is better than bitcoin. I recommend investing in bitcoin because there are many people who prove the benefits gained through bitcoin, the most important thing in investing should be to master market strategy and be wise in managing it.

I've notices most people opt to invest in cloud mining. I have reasons not to like cloud mining. Most cloud mining companies run ponzis, even if they have a mining farm , the funds that people deposit as investments are only use to maintain or upgrade their mining farm. When new users join they pay the old users. After all their machines are always running 24/7 it's not like when one purchases a contract they then turn on one of the machines to start mining. be carefull of cloud mining.

don't invest in any so call bitcoin projects, whether it's lending without collateral because you never know when even the people are considered very trusted there end up defaulting on a loan and don't even think about investing anything in cloud mining because almost all the websites who started this business ended up as fraud and ran away with people's funds...If you still want to invest then make up your own projects, where you control the outcomes...don't blind trust people you meet on the internet with a pretty website and/or fake reviews....
