Every system has a special setting for eye protection, it’s normal due to direct eye contact especially when you’ve stayed with your screen for too long. I’m surprised you don’t experience such using the tablet once in a while, if the tablet is okay try using it for safety purpose. Never had the chance to check if the computer has an eye care feature else you might want to discover another alternative. I will advice op visit an ophthalmologist, glasses might help besides they can provide a computer eyeglass specially designed for computer users.

Hi I am having some eye problems that make it difficult for me to trade efficiently...

I trade from home and many days theres not lots of sunlight coming from outside (cloudy days etc)

I notice I have no problems reading from a tablet screen but my eyes get tired very easily when I read or trade using my computer screen (is a benq eye care monitor around 150 dollars)

Is there a way to configure my pc screen so it looks as similar as if I were reading from a tablet screen?

Or I have to buy a computer screen that use same material as tablet screens?
Computer screens are big and the resolution is so high that the chart looks so small, I don't even understand how all these YouTubers, when showing their screens live how they are reading all those charts I am unable to read them there is this dude crypto Banter plus (Not advertising them). I have to use Magnifier, a built-in app in Windows 11 to read their charts haha.

Or I have to zoom in a lot to see what they are talking about and there are many others, I wonder how they are seeing their charts easily. I don't have experience with that but we must stick to what suits us best, I know we can't make good analyses on tablets but still I don't know about you but I can make do chart analysis at least on tablets but to do fundamentals I need a laptop.

Before that, I would suggest you check your eyes first with an expert, because maybe they can recommend what can be done to reduce it and usually they will also recommend glasses to use when looking at the monitor screen for a long time.

Op going for an eye checkup is a good suggestion that is given and it will be better if they follow it well because I also use glasses and I know how it is when it comes to the issue of issue of eyes so the earlier the better and he can also find a way of controlling the light that comes inside the house, I noticed something the more you use the screen the more your issue of eye increase and some might even lead to given you headache so there are blue ray glasses that help with that but will be better to get recommendations from a eye practitioner so as not to cause more harm.

Quote
This is also what my friend experienced, and he immediately checked it with an expert and he was recommended glasses and it worked well. Even now he can get used to it even without having to wear glasses.
However, you can do everything, including what is recommended by colleagues above.

There is no way that you don't expose your eyes to the screen and you won't experience eye issues at the long wrong but the moment it is taken care of the better and and some of this eye problems is inside the blood that there genetics and some might just be drugs to get the sight corrected so it is always better when a consultant is patronized.

Hi I am having some eye problems that make it difficult for me to trade efficiently...
If your condition is not already being medically assisted, switching from a computer screen to a tablet or a mobile phone will not help; you will only be prolonging the inevitable as you will be damaging your eyesight more. It is best to first consider medical help if you have not already done that, then the recommendations of the eye specialist on which screen will be better for your eye sight will be more valid than the recommendations from most of us who are not eye specialists but will speak from common knowledge without any form of diagnosis.

In order not to worsen the eye situation I suggest you visit an eye clinic and see if they could get you glasses for corrective measures or maybe they recommend a routine to help improve your vision, visiting n eye doctor for proper recommendations will help more than the other secondary taughts but if you prefer not to then you should stick to your tab or get a better monitor and don't stress yourself and cause your eyes more harm than it is already.

when I do day trading I use two computer monitors. And in the past I also felt the same obstacles as you at first. But then I bought anti-radiation glasses and such that might make my eyes more immune from the impact of radiation from my monitor light. And I think the problem is the impact of radiation from the monitor light itself which makes us tired quickly.

Even when I don't use anti-radiation glasses, I often experience headaches and my shoulders feel heavy even when I've only been in front of the computer for 1 hour. But after wearing anti-radiation glasses, I can even last half a day in front of the computer without getting a headache. But everyone definitely has different problems. And sometimes the type of monitor used also has a different impact.

you probably have a dry eyes. also, go to doctor for a check up.

the only monitor that I know that didn't have any eye strain is monitor with e-ink, but I don't even think these are ready for consumers and even then, the refresh rate is embarassingly low.

those monitors that advertises eye care protection are mostly just bs as well, maybe take a break for a week and see whether you still have the same problem, buy better monitor as well if you have the money, the monitor you used as I know, is tailored for gaming with high refresh rate.

Looking at a monitor all day is not healthy no matter which brand it is. You’ll have dry eyes eventually and sleep problems too. Looking into the bright light all the time fries your brain and it forgets to put itself to sleep.

If you are doing lots of trades in a day, you better write your own trading algo and let it do the job. Otherwise you’ll lose what’s left of your current health soon.

From time to time, you need to get away from your monitor. Take a break if needed. Focusing all day, all night long on bright screen is indeed not healthy. Find a way how to take small breaks, it can surely help.

We don't know yet if he is like that because he did not indicate his trading routine. I still don't think that there are traders or simply person like that who look at their monitors all day. There are only people who stare at their monitors for a long period of time because maybe this is where they work? Like me for example and luckily I have no sleep problems. In fact it makes me sleep easily when my eyes are already experiencing a fatigue. Traders are lucky that there are now trading bots that can do the job for them (like what you said there) but maybe some are not confident about it and also they feel bore if they won't do the action themselves.

my bet is that if your eyes is comfortable with your tablet, it's probably because it's OLED or it's ultra high resolution screen. maybe you need to find OLED monitor, but you should try it first before buying since it's expensive,

the problem with most monitor ranging around $300 and below is that they used cheap panel, even worse if it's TN, i've got benq monitor back then, it was TN and i would lie if i say it doesn't cause eye strain.

so maybe try to invest in a better monitor, find the ones that got good panel and high resolution.

Just changed the entire screen or turn on adaptive color it will help you change your focus on your PC. For instance I do change the appearance of my pc and so my phone, whenever I am operating in mobile it seems to be as my laptop or whenever I am with my phone it seems like I am reading from my laptop with this it makes reading very comfortable for me.

A quick tip: Don't forget to check your table just incase you will buy another one or upgrade a monitor which will make your setup more heavy above the table.
Maybe your desk table is only can handle whatever you have now and you will upgrade like a new monitor then the weight will increase.

About the monitor: dual monitor (buy another 1) if you want to save, if you can afford, buy ultrawide monitor.

If you are used to a specific screen and you have the capacity to buy a new monitor, that would help you. I think that’s okay. There are also monitor lights that could help you see better or not be strained too much by the screen. Maybe you ought to check your eyes in an eye clinic or something because you might need some prescription glasses or something.

Trading doesn’t requires you must have a large screen but rather do with what you’re comfortable with, there is no need going for large screen when it discomforts you, there are many people that uses their mobile phone to read chart and they execute or trade perfectly whereas there are many also who prefers large screen.

As for trying to adjust your device to tablet form you can simply adjust maybe the fonts and when on the chart zoom out to make the chart a little bit like the size of the tablet.

But what I see here is you have a eye problem related to short sightedness which you can visit the hospital to get a correctional eye equipments like glasses

We don't know if Op has tried using glasses or not. But I also have eye problems related to monitor light that makes my eyes tired and sore quickly.
Like your solution, I checked my eyes and got special glasses that are adjusted to the problem I'm experiencing. I've been wearing these glasses for several years, everything feels more comfortable.
not only for in front of the monitor screen when doing trading activities or others. I can even use these glasses when driving at night when the light from vehicle headlights can feel very dazzling to my eyes.

Don't need even need to spend on anything much. You could either buy glass lenses with blue light filters or configure your devices to filter off that blue light. It's the biggest cause of eye strain and fatigue. I have used both Windows and Ubuntu, and both an option to adjust the amount of blue light on the screen.

You should also make sure, most of the time, your device is in dark mode. It helps too.

Out of my very own experience. I can spend more than 6 hours straight on my well configured screen, but I can even make it past 30 minutes on a screen without any blue filters. Even sleeping becomes problematic after wards.

If you think that tablets are very good for trading, then in that case you can use tablets. Because tablets have very large screens, in that case if you have eye problems then you can see better because the texts are very large and you can see in a very large display, but of course you have to buy a good quality tablet. I use mobile for trading, I use a little expensive mobile because of which I do not have any problems. Using a computer is very troublesome for me, I have not done any trading or any other work from a computer till now. Working on mobile is very easy for me, so I can complete all the work without using a computer or a tablet, only using a mobile.

I am not aware of your exact condition of power level of your sight and your age but I remember I had similar eye irritations when I first switched to LCD/LED screen from CRT monitors and I fixed it by changing the monitor settings.

I guess, you need to check your 'colour agent' menu in your monitor settings. Under colour agent you will have colour temperature where you will have cool/warm options (and few other variations depends on your brand). If you are currently using "warm" setting then you must change to cool mode. But, cool mode will emit more blue rays which is not good for our eyes. So, you may choose between cool and warm which is cool1 or warm1 in some monitors. I have found this some 10 years back and have been using this since then, you may try this.
