I've always had good experiences buying EVGA GPUs. None of them were ever Samsung memory but none of them also had problems. Hashing stable for a few months now. Another plus facrtor i love about EVGA is that their GPU design looks way better than lets say Palit. Its a bit shallow but my mining rig looks so futuristic and my friends who visit always comment on how my rig looks much neater than theirs.

Running 4x ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 OC ROG Strix, mining zcash with a total of 1800 Sols, all cards average at around 450.

core clock is set to 1860 and memclock to 4290, will test out if I can increase the memclock a little more.

I prefer MSI 1070 Gaming X for at least Zcash
Avg: 478 sol/s on ~137-138 Watt (3,48 sol/w) and very quiet and cold

I bought Asus Strix 1070 it is quite and cold. Asus 1060 not Strix  is very hot 75 C  against 65 comparing strix. Strix is more expensive than others, but if it   is in your sleeping room it worth its money;)

I just bought Palit GTX1070 Dual 8GB and it’s running nice and smooth. Initially there were some comments about Palit running hitter but I don’t face any such problems. It’s running pretty quiet as well.

P106-100 isn’t the modified version of 1060s? Or are they better than 1070?

you should buy from a site where they have a good return policy, you buy the cards, you test if it's Samsung, if not, send it back.
But this way you'll never get to keep a single card since all 1070s come with Micron now.  Cheesy
That's how I got Samsung models for all my cards.
Have you recently bought any 1070s? Or are you talking about 1060s? It's a lot easier to get Samsung ram with 1060s, still plenty of them out there. But not with 1070s, not anymore.

Actually hard to get samsung with regular 1060s anymore also.
Ive heard the P106-100 have samsung memory now; regular 1060 is now Hynix (at least where I live)

Bigjee, yeah P106-100 has Samsung memory, I've tested MSI P106-100, OC is very good.

The GTX 1070s is a great digger. I am holding a lot of 1070s to exploit the new altcoin, the profit that it gives me is huge. I do not dig the top altcoin because those altcoins do not bring much profit.

I just started this week and I'm using my Jetstream 1070 (I'm still feeling things out before I start investing big time). How do you guys know if you have Samsung or not? I'm a gamer and I haven't heard much about this in our community.

This is some good read, good to hear from fellow 1070 users. Hopefully I'll add a few more to cope up with you guys who have dozens.  Grin Grin Grin

Any opinion on below card? I see that one of the cheapest available gpu at my place. Anyone using it? How is performance, temperature and the noise ?

Palit GeForce GTX 1070 Dual 8GB GDDR5 PCI-E Graphics Card

It's a budget card, not nearly as good as the jetstream/gamerock cards. Only makes sense if it's really cheap, otherwise I wouldn't buy it. Should be somewhat similar to Asus Dual. Weak cooler is the main problem with these cards.

I prefer gigabyte G1, my friend is using aorus. But unfortunately, both of we have micron memory in cards

How is the performance of them in terms of hashing and power? I’m using Asus Dual OC that gives me around 440 sols on Zcash or 30.2 Mh in ETH.

Im mining ZCash so lowest Sol/s is 465 and highest 505 in average 480. GPU memory is Micron

i have two 1070's. get around 450 sols mining zcash. I've overclocked it to get a combined 920 sols but not very stable so I keep it a bit lower and more stable.

Zotac AMP's (double fan) are shit, Over 30% fan failure rate within 6 months.

For some reason they are rated at 22ow instead of 150 or 180 for some reason.
Not sure why Huh

I've always had really good luck with EVGA products just for simplicity, value, and performance.  This includes their power supplies.  So yeah, wait for EVGA sales and stick with that as a 1070 choice.  Then again, 1080 prices are coming down too so if you are looking for port density 1080 is pretty good too.

I'm waiting to 2018.Feb, as the roadmap of Nvidia that time they may release new series GTX 20xx, so maybe we could get some cheaper GTX 10xx.

New Volta aint coming till Summer 2018
