You could use localbitcoins for small trades, but if you are selling a good amount, you'd better complete the verification with an exchange and sell through it.

If you are just day-trading for profits, you could use btce without any verification.

do all reputable exchanges require kyc?

I don't feel too good about bitstamp knowing my private information..

Define reputable. None of the exchanges are particularly reputable by my standards. This is still the wild west, and IMO, any of them could pull a Gox -- not a question in my mind.

To answer your question, BTCE and Bitfinex do not require verification unless fiat (banking) is involved. So you can send coins, trade, send out coins without verification.

Yeah localbitcoins is a decent site to sell btc, never had any problems so far although I've only ever sold small amounts.

Not too keen on having to send my ID to exchanges to get verified, never know what happens to your personal information.

You may use localbitcoins to find a trader near you, and you won't need to do ID verification.

If you are in New York City, there is a Bitcoin Meetup group called Satoshi Square. They meet at the Bitcoin Center at 40 Broad St, NY, NY

I have heard there are many offsets of the same kind in other cities around the world too!

I am from Asia continent which is best for me to exchange my bitcoins into local currency . I have searched lots of people in the local area for exchange but it works at a time when they have a requirement so I have to wait for selling my BTC.

Where are you from specifically? There are several Chinese exchanges -- Huobi and Okcoin being the most prominent. Bitfinex is based in Hong Kong.

Coinbase lets anyone sell up to $50k per day. Not that I would ever need to sell that much but good to have that option.

However, for example BTC does take off in the near future and explodes to $2k+ per BTC, and lets also say that Coinbase shuts down for whatever reason...where can I sell my BTC in bulk?

Bitstamp, Btc-e, Bitfinex, Kraken, Bitsimple, bitcoin.de, localbitcoins, BTC china, etc.

Coinbase is pretty reputable. They are not good for trading all the time (you can't hold funds there -- in and out of your bank account only). But when I want to get $$ in and out of the BTC economy, they are my favorite.

If you're going to keep funds on exchanges to sell on the spike, I'd spread your money around a bit. Bitstamp, BTCE, Bitfinex, are places where I would keep limits sells on the book for a big spike.

If you have a European bank account that supports SEPA you should try https://bitonic.nl/

To select banks they can pay in as little as 2 hours, and to other banks they pay within a day.

I am not sure if they also work with banks outside of Europe. Maybe they do, maybe they don't.

Not sure if they can handle whales either, it will probably depend.
