I personally use Poloniex, but if you're looking to minimize your risks of losing funds since you're doing day-to-day trading I would suggest Kraken. They have the best security in the industry at the moment, so that's a big plus. Their review.

I would choose Poloniex anytime , Its secure as most of the funds are stored in cold storage , It has the biggest trading volume If we exclude the Chinese exchanges , It's fast , and also have good design and a good support. I don't see a reason why I would choose another platform.
It is secured until it's hacked. What makes you think if they are hacked by the internal team or by random hackers, your money would still be safe ? IMHO,do not trust any trading sites with the money you can't afford to lose.
I think he's saying about only trading. not about storing funds in Poloniex. for the exchange purposes Poloniex is no doubt one of the most trusted platform.. but storing large amount of funds in exchange is not safe.

as a trader you will end up storing something on an exchange at some point. you never go in, trade, go out!
you go in, open an order, wait for it to be filled, it may take an hour or a week even and in all that time your money (bitcoin, fiat, altcoins) are on the exchange and there is no other way around that.

That is true that if you think that without it you can do then i think you will miss the correct price to buy or sell in so many time if you hold the bitcoin in your wallet but it does not mean that you have to keep them in exchange wallet but when you are going to do daily trading then you have to keep some part of bitcoin in exchange and do trading and as soon as you are in profit that time you better withdraw it and just keep small part in the exchange wallet , like this you can lower the loss risk. other then that their is no other way.

MetaTrader 4 is the most popular trading platform for trading Forex and CFD (Contracts for Difference) financial instruments. Having an impressive functionality, the platform is suitable for traders of all skill levels. It's a flexible trading system that offers advanced tools of technical analysis, Trading Signals, a Market of trading robots, mobile and algorithmic trading and much more.

Even though you will find many through the suggestions here and I would also suggest you the one which I use but I would also advise you to try these platform with lower amounts and then you can go with higher amounts with one which you will find comfortable to trade because trading on a platform which is suited for all of the other members might not work well for you (in terms of speed, user interface and fees etc).

Now coming back to the topic, I usually trade on Yobit, 1Broker and localbitcoins and the placement of order differ from strategy to strategy and type of trade. For example, I use 1broker to trade with stocks, indices & forex whereas I use localbitcoins to trade BTC and fiat but with more than single payment options so for me it all depends on the type of trade and ease of trading. All of my trades are usually day trades and I rarely trade for long term (because funds in long term are my cold storage investments).

My vote for Poloniex, I think they are among the best. They are well established and trustworthy and pay a lot of attention to security and that is very important for users especialy when attacks and malwares are so common. As far as I know many are satidfied with Poloniex so you can't go wrong. Good luck.

I will go with Poloniex then c-cex. In Poloniex trading is fast, so many traders playing and the traded volume is huge. Well, cce is quite different but I like the platform and effecient trading. But nowadays, there are many unreliable coins being traded but I like the delisting feature of ccex to weed out non performing coins.

Obviously I can google this, but I would just like to hear what you guys have to say as those articles are outdated and may contain irrelevant information.

Since I start promoting Yobit,it has become my main trading site, had no problems with my deposit and withdrawal.although some coins,I'm following are in maintenance, but I have no issue when to comes to support, also made profit and still making from pumps from the coins being traded here.

,

We had our own bet exchange that we can suggest in this forum, and for me bittrex is one of the good and legit exchange site that I can recommend you to try to trade in. Because there times that some there coins are swinging aggressively all you need to only was to monitor it from time to time as much as possible.

I like to trade on poloniex and bittrex. I used to trade on btc-e but it's quite limited when you like to trade altcoins, they do support a lot of worldwide currencies.

but in my opinion a very good market from the beginning until now bittrex and poloniex, so if you want to trade my advise to trade in the two markets, because bittrex and poloniex already secured and no coin dirt that can play low volume. Wink
If you already have strong foundation about trading trexx and polo is a good place for you since movements is really makes profitable if you have good assessment but if you are still a beginner better try yobit and ccex and learn how fake pnd is affecting the market. Thers a lots of fake movements inside yobit they have all the capabilities because of low volumes.

Yobit.net and poloniex are two best platform for bitcoin and altcoin trading but if we are said about good analytical platform I think I will give it to samplefx as you can download metatrader software and demo with it before real bitcoin or money. But in trading, platform is not what really matter but skills and understanding on how bitcoin and others cryptocurrencies works.

I'm using three exchanges Yobit,Ccex and Novaexchange, although you can not consider them number one in their industry, yet they offer volumes to every coins listed here, security are all ok they keep updating their site to the latest security don't have problem with support also this is my experience in all these three.
Based upon the locality users prefer different bitcoin exchanges. Kraken is preferred by people in the European nation. Localbitcoins were much used by users around the world as its one among the licenced bitcoin service render. Yobit too is better in terms of listing all sort of coins which were unavailable in other exchange websites.

May I ask why you're excluding the Chinese exchanges from your conclusion? I'm probably only going to be trading in American exchanges anyways

are you Chinese and want to deposit CNY?
if not why do you want that?

and to answer your main question, any exchange would work for you. as long as there is enough liquidity so that you can take advantage of all the changes. things that i will check is their fees, and then their volume and then their rules and if they accept traffic from my country!

also i am not sure if you want to trade altcoins or bitcoin/fiat? because polonies is good for altcoins.
